I feel sad that this kind of humor had been eliminated in my country... And I laughed to tears when I watched it the first time! I think we Germans can learn a lot from you. And I just love black humor!

the reason why they can't exicute him correctly is because it was the first and last time in history that the israeli goverment ( the memshala ) had to exicute a criminal , the wrost punishment you can get in israel is being locked for your entire life in a maximum sacurity prision . the joke here is that "isare bad at exicuting"

I know what you mean i was expecting a documentary and when they pointed out their was no trap door i was wtf still took a second to dawn on me it was a spoof i started to get annoyed by how crude this was think it was anti-Jewish it was but i must admit half way through i did start to chuckle and it finally i realized this was a Israeli comedy.

Diasporic disenfranchised people have all a dark, mordant sense of humor. I'm of Irish Gaelic heritage, & we always make fun of ourselves. A wee example is when someone asks an Irisher if there's a classic dish from Ireland that doesn't have potatoes in it & he responds "of course! Irish coffee!"

This is actually from an Israeli comedy series called 'The jews are coming', it reinacts many events in Jewish history in a hilarious way. I watch it and the series is very good.

Wasserman & co. are just idiots & don't really get it. They think they're thoroughly professional ("Wasserman, did you write that down?". "No." "Good."). For his part, "Eichmann" is not frightened in the slightest. He's just irritated by the "amateurs" screwing up & wants it DONE!
In other words, I find this plausible. That's what makes it so funny. There have been SS testimonies that weren't so much hateful as exasperated. They're literally just irritated at the apparent docility of the folks they want to be rid of.
But out of reasons, that no one was able to find out yet, it somehow works...

Say what you will about Eichmann - he was evil, he was schizoid, he was on par w/his fuhrer & his immediate superiors as a mass murderer, all true - but he was also a professional. And he was irritated at the incompetence of Wasserman & his crew!

@@gulag8735 An addendum - the actual executions of the major Nuremberg Trial criminals WERE deliberately botched. Yeah, Sgt. Woods, the actual hangman, was a bit of a nutter according to some of the historical books, but his portable gallows were not the best design. The traps were single hinged & smaller than mandated by the British Home Office. That pretty much assured the condemned would smash his face on the way down or crack their heads on the platform during the rebound following noose impact.
Also, Woods used what was called the "standard" or "long" drop. Except when taking to account the height of the condemned, the drop itself doesn't fully take into account either the weight or physical condition to fully adjust the length of drop. Most times, the striking force of the noose was inadequate to break the neck. Or, even more graphic, the person's cervical bones would be overwhelmed & the noose would decapitate the prisoner.
The Brits had developed what's called the "measured drop" which adjusted the final length of the rope based on height, weight & frame. Again, not perfect, but it was far more "humane" than the standard.

@@gulag8735 As far as I know, which is a bit informed as I love to study modern history & military history for fun, the Nazis, being bureaucratic & sticklers for detail, put the details of their crimes on paper. Now, I'll be accommodating in admitting there was a bit of physical & mental torture on a few of the lead criminals - Hans Frank is a particularly egregious example - but you still have a mountain of documentary evidence proving both atrocity & guilt of same if you jettison transcripts & documents you find suspect.
Hell, I'll go one step better. Let's chuck 50% of the interrogations, hard-copy evidence & testimony of the main IMT trial. Any. One can even do this randomly. It's gone. Just vapor. What are you going to do w/the remaining verified evidence? Is it all fake? Is most of it faked? Can it be forged? No.
Split hairs all you want. The IMT's for Europe & Japan were extremely flawed. They weren't "good law". They violated ex post facto law. But we of the Allied Powers could've been justified in killing all the defendants w/out ANY due process. We did not. Instead, we researched all the evidence - the vast majority of it coming from the aggressor nations themselves - catalogued them, took testimonies, depositions, & so on to create a wall of proof that cannot be gainsayed.
To deny the war criminals' guilt is to be willfully blind at best or a Nazi apologist at worst. You don't strike me as an idiot, so I invite you to research the Nuremberg Process yourself - the vast majority has been posted to some extent online - & draw your own conclusions.

This is great... I just read that after they executed him they cremated his ashes and spread them in the sea, Outside Israeli jurisdiction... hahahahah...And his execution was delayed but not by very long...

blackzed It's called "The inadvertent Jewish torture of a poor Nazi mass murderer in his final half year of life, provoking him to finish the execution himself to escape further Jewish embarrassment while they go off to enjoy their hummus." Who would have thought that the Jews can even use their own incompetence as a weapon? We Chinese have a lot to learn from them. We try way too hard to be perfect and it backfires. Why not take it easy, eat some hummus, and just let your enemies destroy themselves? Brilliant!

I've been watching the whole Eichmann trial, and I thought I'd see what this video was. I was appalled, but then I laughed! That's a very fine edge in comedy, and when it hits the mark, it's exquisite! I would say this is a slam dunk, only Eichmann has at least one living son, Ricardo, who is a very kind and decent person, and a professor of archaeology. That makes it a bit difficult for me to laugh without restraint, but I did laugh.
This seems more of a parody of the execution of Ludwig Fischer (sometimes mistaken for Amon Goeth's hanging), where some of these mistakes were actually made. The rope broke or was not tied properly, and only on the 3rd attempt did he actually hang from the rope. On the first two attempts, he wound up standing in the pit below the gallows platform.
I was hanging on to every scene.

Let me admit I had to read the comments to be instructed this was a comedy sketch. First I laughed at myself for being so clueless, then I laughed with the commentetor's opinions and finally at the sketch itself in my second take.
Having been reading too much about the Holocaust in preparation for Holocaust Memorial Day in ten days time, I decided to watch this. Pure gold.
And if you're only going to hang one man, make sure it's someone worth hanging, and he was. He was responsible for my grandparents' murder, and few others.

Dark, tasteless, and brilliant. If there is something the Nazis could not stand, was mockery. Eichmann enginereed a death machine whose the survivors ridicule him. This mockery removes Eichmann of any dignity, grace or intimidation making he appear as who he really was: a boring, dull, miserable pencil pusher, obsessed with discipline and efficiency. Brilliant.
I suppose this is genuine gallows humor. 😄

@Sabrina Dugan Amon Göths hanging took three attemps. The Nuremberg delinquents lost weight, so the hangman often had to twist the delinquent to break his neck.
