I know the feeling. Those feelings of love and loss were very strong already at a young age. (Still feel them too sometimes). I think experiences in life connect to some sort of source of emotions that is available at any age. One of the beauties of Angelina is that she has access to them in a very special way and is able to connect to them, translate lyrics into her world and can artistically share them with us listeners. It's both in her diction (like an actress; you don't have to be a powerful queen to play a role of one f.i.) and in her musicality. She is extremely talented. Britt, she always finds the love in the song and she relates to it and sings the message of the song for us surrounded by the particular story of where the love comes from. She is very genuine and we feel that love when she sings.
This is when Angelina broke out from adolescent singer to young woman in my opinion. It was her first full production with Republic Records when she was 14. It floored me. If you hear Adele's version you will understand. I never compare directly because each artist brings their strengths. But honestly, my preference is Angelina's version because of the emotion she brings to the song. Adele is a phenomenal songwriter and of course she sings it masterfully. But for me, Adele sometimes sings sharp while Angelina has that soft jazzy tone that I prefer. I think this song was a joint effort from Bruno Mars and Adele. I think it was co-written but both did their own videos of it. I’ve watched both and Angelina performs this closer to the Adele version. Angelina is more soulfull and has the jazz slurring and slides that only she has mastered.

I am all into the jazzy/bluesy Angelina, and even most of all those great covers from my early days and beyond. She manage to sing quite a few of the songs I grew up with, and even from my youth. I've always loved any song this young lady sang, but when I heard this one, it touched something deep down inside me. I'd never heard Adele sing this either, so I went to check it out. Adele has a great voice, but I didn't get half way through her song. It just seemed bland. The emotion that Angelina puts in it, is amazing. I must have listened to Angelina sing this 500 times, and each time it brings tears to my eyes. Great reaction, and if it is still OK to compliment young ladies, you look exceptionally nice today.

Adele`s music is for sure somthing Angelina brought into my life. I am all into the jazzy/bluesy Angelina, and even most of all those great covers from my early days and beyond. She manage to sing quite a few of the songs I grew up with, and even from my youth. I am so impressed by her even by that 😮🤩 As she on top of that is abel to bring me into new music as well, and popular music of today; - I truly could never expect even that from a young girl, or a child even. Angelina does so, and she also makes my love for music (first and foremost HER music) much greater than it has ever been.
I don`t think she has many, if any, boundaries when it comes to music. She has since very young been an Adele "ambasador".

I've always loved any song this young lady sang, but when I heard this one, it touched something deep down inside me. I'd never heard Adele sing this either, so I went to check it out. Adele has a great voice, but I didn't get half way through her song. It just seemed bland. The emotion that Angelina puts in it, is amazing. I must have listened to Angelina sing this 500 times, and each time it brings tears to my eyes. Great reaction, and if it is still OK to compliment young ladies, you look exceptionally nice today.
The set is the pianist's home studio. He is multiple Grammy Award winner Rob Christie.
I'm pretty sure that the studio is owned by Republic Records, which Angelina is allowed to use exclusively for her own projects. See also the two covers: Easy on Me and Heal the World. Angelina has some videos about this studio on IG and Tiktok that she proudly presents. 🤗

Yes .. she's had a broken heart ... or twenty .. or a hundred! It's funny how everyone seems to agree that she's an old soul but then we're surprised that she knows about pain and heartache. If indeed she's an old soul, she has lived every kind of life . and we all know that pain and heart-ache are pretty normal in many different types of lives. She reminds us when we get the goosebumps from her way of sharing that particular story and particular pain. She's fabulous .. and a gift .. and most definitely our teacher in many ways.

My reaction just as your's was to this song. It is certainly one of my top favorites of her covers. This was probably my 30th time of listening to this one and it still gives me shivers every time.

She was already famous at 8 after winning the Norwegian x-factor. The family had already turned down several offers including Disney. AGT was used to make itself known also in the US.
So if you were ever wondering,.. can she do heartfelt, heartbreaking emotional tunes?? I think this is it. This is an adult song about hearbreak. I don't think she changed any of the words. This is an Adele song thru and thru. And she's been covering Adele. These are not old songs. How amazing she sounds here. And how perfectly pitched every note is. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE PRO.
