- A quick walking tour through the beautiful Cockington village in Torquay, Many villages lay claim to being picturesque, but the delightful Devon village of Cockington is the real deal. Take a walk back in time along Cockington’s narrow lanes, lined with thatched houses and you’ll experience a quiet charm that is quintessentially English. Everything about Cockington oozes with history - there’s a water mill, a forge and even the cricket pitch was once a medieval deer park.
At the heart of this lovely Devon village is Cockington Court, a 16th century manor house surrounded by hundreds of acres of gorgeous country park. Cockington Country Park has received the prestigious Keep Britain Tidy, Green Flag Award, an accolade which it has retained 24 times since its launch, one of only 5 sites in the whole of the UK to do so.

Thank you for sharing such a beautiful place in a country with a warm landscape👍21
Thank you
Been here a couple of times when I was in torquay for a holiday, it would be lovely if all england looked like this, nice and stress free.
What a pretty little town. Wish I had know of it when I toured England in 1973.
It's not easy to find, snuggled on the edge of dartmoor, it's also very small and there are many others like this, I am planning to get around to them in the near future, but also on a trip to asia soon.

I hope you realize your project, my friend.
Great video of a beautiful place. I think it would be better without the background music track, but that is just my personal preference.
Love cockington, me and my daughter take my grandson where he can run riot, have an ice-cream before we leave and he will sleep all night.

Sometimes natural stone looks better and is more original, I personally like it that way.. 👍
