Practice holding your elbow behind your back (left hand behind your back grabbing right elbow) and throwing 10-15 yards with just a wrist movement. It’s hard but will get your wrist working in that manner to get a good snap
It is important to keep your eyes on the target as much as possible through the throwing motion. When really trying to throw far, you need extra torque, so there is usually a split second where you have to look away from the receiver to allow your body to twist/reach farther back. Generally you do not want to look away from the receiver too long because it gives more time for the receiver to change his cutting direction which usually results in a bad turnover.
One thing I hope kurt sees in this comment in this year old video. I've seen discussions from people teaching disc golf.. that the finger pressure on your grip could vary.. is this true for you?.. it was said more pressure on the rim from the ring and pinky usually allows for more wrist snap because off which hand tendons its using vs most pressure on the thumb and index.. (more range of motion for wrist flexure with pinky/ring finger pressure) can you comment on that?..
I’m not sure what exactly you’re referring to but I also play disc golf and what I would recommend for disc golf wouldn’t be the same for ultimate. Everything I discuss here is for Ultimate specifically. Disc golf mechanics can look different even though it is throwing a frisbee. You have to account for size of disc, weight, rim size, release points, etc. that make them differ in many ways.
Thanks bro. You really helped me w/ the flick all I think now is “Spider-Man”. Can’t wait to work on this throw!
Great to hear!
Any tips on getting more wrist snap on this throw?

Do you keep eyes on the target all the way through the pivot? Sometimes it seemed like you would look down and then back up.

Important question. How does wearing the wristbands affect your game? (if you wear them during a game) :P
No affect at all. The AUDL restricts some jewelry so they have asked to either remove or cover up with a wristband
