I wonder if one of these openers is faster than a traditional screw or belt drive? I have a conventional Genie screw drive and it opens twice as fast as a "regular" opener (about 12" per second).
Santiago I respect all the good information that you provide us. But I am trying to add everything up, three brands that you mentioned seam to have some kind of problem with them .I look in too the lift master and the lock hads been a problem since the 8500 and the 8500w is the 98022 having that problem,I was going to let a garage door company install one ,but they are asking 1200 dollars and mention they won’t install the lock because it tends to go bad.I think 700 dollars is expensive for installation and if you don’t have a plug nearby, it’s more money.even if you installed the plug your self.i like the idea of a side mount garage opener,but it seams like it still need to be perfected.i hear people complaining that their units are not working like it should.i also noticed that people and garage installer mount the light and the button to the unit closer to the unit , instead by the door coming into the garage.I think you are honest and reputable ,and I still want to try the lift master,but I have a heavy insulated garage door with windows.i don’t know if that’s the way to go.that same company told me if I don’t buy from them and I buy it from Amazon and it’s bad from stock. They will charge to removed it and charge you for another to installation on a new one. Thks for being honest .i might installed it my self.
Thank you so much for sharing this information. I think it goes without saying that there's no perfect garage door opener and by extension no perfect garage door products. I believe it all will depend on the configuration of your garage door system and whether your specific garage door system needs a side mount or wall mount garage door opener. Therefore what can you tell us about your garage door? What type of track radius does the garage door have? You mentioned that it's an insulated garage door? Do you know the exact weight?
My car only works with MyQ, therefore i will only own a MYQ door, liftmaster/chamberlain, that said im leaning towards the 92022 liftmaster, though im worried with all the issues with it.
@@sosgds is there any differences in hardware between the 61XX Genie the commercial GCL-LJ? they look identical. are the internal motors, gears, etc the same?

Outside of these deals, what's your top recommended wall mount/jackshaft opener these days?
The Genie 6170 is my go to wall mount garage door opener.

As much as I desire to spend my money on two new GD Openers, I won't do it until they can sell me one that officially supports Matter.
I hope that connectivity support comes sooner than later.
