Great compilation! Jeff Lynn is outstanding as usual. Found out today I have cancer again, but I've been rocking out on ELO all afternoon raising my spirits significantly. Miss you Rosie! Thank you RUclips for all the great videos.
We saw them with our friends from the Netherlands in addition to the wonderful company the band was awesome and we had floor seats of which we did not sit down all night. It was magical.
Favorite Band when I was a tennager back in the late 70's. Missed my chance to see them live in 1981 for the Time tour. So happy I got to see them in Tampa. Bucket list for me. I memorized Rockaria back in the day listened to my cassette over and over writing down all the words. Sang with the band when they did that song. Still remembered :)
Just saw them in July in Toronto and before that 1977 in Montreal. I recorded a few songs on my phone but sound was too loud for my phone and got distorted.
saw them 4 times in the 70's Amazing. To actually sound even close to their albums was a feat it itself. Their unique style, violins, cello's and All of it live and insync. Jeff Lynne is a genious.
Just got back from this show in Tampa last night. INCREDIBLE!!! Jeff Lynne and his band sound incredible - can't believe it took me 40 years to see this powerhouse live!
Last night my wife and I attended the show in Sunrise, Florida. Jeff Lynne has been incredible all along...his musical genius is something to behold. Absolutely stupendous show...all the musicians are extraordinary. We are fans since the beginning of ELO. Jeff sounds as good as he did in the '70s. Could it get any better? NO.
I'm glad everyone had the same experience as I did. It was genuinely a special night and the band was amazing. I especially appreciate that their focus was to perform the songs faithfully to the original recordings. I'm still buzzing over this show 4 days later.
Saw them 41years ago exactly in Greensboro, NC on July 11th 1978. They still rock and he is still a master of special effects, showmanship and composer. They literally give you goosebumps and this is the boomer concert of the year. Saw them in Sunrise and the audience was full of old and young alike. EPIC!
I was there on the floor. I watch my clips every day during a break at work. Anytime I have a bad day I will watch my clips of this show and be totally uplifted!
Went to this show, been waiting over forty years to see them in concert, and man they didn't disappoint. What an incredible show. Thank you so much Jeff for coming over here.
I can well believe they didn't disappoint, having seen them three times in Jeff's hometown of Birmingham on UK tours in the past few years. But then, I don't think I've ever read a bad review for this band, their consistency and professionalism s astounding/
@@denisej4813 They really are the best, it was by far the best concert I've ever attended, and they're technically my 2nd favorite band behind The Beach Boys, who I've seen numerous times since the 70's (namely Brian), along with Chicago, R.E.O., America and others. While I enjoyed them all, this was truly a bucket list performance. I hope they come back here (U.S.) again. If I can get to them in a days drive I'm there, or even 2 days! You have to wonder how much longer he'll want to tour. But I've noticed with a lot of these bands with members hitting their 70's, if they're healthy enough and the fans still want to seem them, by in large they'll do it.
Jeff and ELO will never grow old. They sound just fine and steady as if it were the First Time. Those violin sweet notes are most definitely one of ELO's trade mark.
First, thank you so much for not only sharing this but for the effort that you put into chronicling this event. If you don’t do this for a living...you should! I had the opportunity to see this show in DC the other night and have others have shared what a great lifetime event! Jeff Lynne and ELO are and will always be a huge part of the sound of our generation.
None other than E.L.O. Could have made this concert this good.As always the special effects are unbelievable beautiful.its a E.L.O. Area glen.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
It's never been the same without Kelly Groucett. I saw the ELO Out of the Blue tour in the 70's,,,,they didn't use recorded samples, it was all live. Kelly was the high voice in the band, he was behind the newer popular ELO sound. Jeff has never once given him the credit he deserves. RIP Kelly.
Saw this amazing concert in Grand Rapids two days ago. Glad I got to see this video from up front (which is well done, by the way). Our seats were on the other side of the arena which gave a much better perspective on the light show than what is seen from this perspective, which is what ELO has always been known for in its live performances. The light show was so good, at one point, the thought struck me, "who needs LSD when you've got this?" (Not that I've ever touched the stuff...) At the opening of "You Shine a Little Love in My Life", the lights were so amazing (you get a very short glimpse here at 17:48), you got the feeling you were in the middle of an exploding fireworks finale. When that part of the show started, my daughter commented, "Whoa....what... is.... happening...?" Telephone Line was the second-best part of the light show. You can get a hint of here at 22:22. Thanks for posting this.
I was at this show too, opposite side/section. A very special tour. Simply put, I imagine they sound better than any other touring band today, better than any live edition of ELO in the past, and up there with the very very best all time live rock acts, which is a funny and unexpected thing, for ELO. But the results speak for themselves. First time I've travelled to see a band since Page/Plant 1998.
Thanks for the nicely edited clips. I'll never forget my front row seat seeing ELO at Radio City Music Hall in NYC in 2016. I was as close to Jeff as the camera man up front!
What a show!!! Thanks so much for posting this! I was way up in the nosebleed seats for this show and couldn't see much LOL so this is wonderful. The sound was incredible!
@diane i was in the 200s section and was so high I could care less what was going on on the stage haha. The experience was the graphics and being surrounded by the music. Skip the expensive seats, take some edibles hahah.
Wow, that is an excellant recording, amazing quality. What an awesome concert, I saw them last year at Arena Birmingham, amd they were unbelievably good! Jeff and the band always deliver the best concert you will ever see and hear! 😊
Thank you Thank you, thank you for this great compilation! I saw them in Sunrise 2 days after your show, I cant get enuff of the videos of all their shows!!!!! This was the best concert I have ever seen!!!! Of epic proportions!!!!
I remember hearing Jeff once joke that, with reference to his own personal musical abilities, that were it not his band, he couldn't get into it! And yet he's a creative force with few peers. ELO, Steely Dan, YES, Pink Floyd and the Beatles are all on a level of their own in my mind. First saw ELO in late '72 or early '73, opening for the Beach Boys in Cleveland (how's that for an interesting bill?). No one knew quite how to take them, or could begin to imagine what they would soon become.
Yes, that is Dhani Harrison singing handle with Care. Thanks for the positive comment on the recording. I had to delete one very nasty comment on the video. Some people just can't help being jerks, I guess.
Saw them in the 70s I feel a connection with Jeff he was part of the Traveling Wilburys was a name I made up my music was stolen Tom petty got my stuff among other Hello Prince Tom George Beyonce lady Gaga and the not dead lately , Jeff call me...
I paid $286 each which includes all fees. I purchased mine through Ticketmaster's resell market. I was definitely looking for a specific area to sit. It was expensive but there were much more expensive seats than mine.
Not currently. I believe he is recovering from some sort of medical issue. It's not really known what that is. Some have suggested he had carpel tunnel surgery, but that is rumor not fact as far as I know.
That was truly the best show I have ever. SEEN. When Dhani came out my socks were rocked! Greatest night of my life ever in person
The soundtrack of my life since the early 70s 😊👍
Jeff Lynne the best
Probably the most underrated band in rock history !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What do you mean under rated everybody thinks they are fantastic .this guys was known as the Beatles brothers
Just go back to sleep, would ya?
Great compilation! Jeff Lynn is outstanding as usual. Found out today I have cancer again, but I've been rocking out on ELO all afternoon raising my spirits significantly. Miss you Rosie! Thank you RUclips for all the great videos.
Best of luck with your battle, Chris.
Bless you Chris... Overdosing on ELO will help 😊
We saw them with our friends from the Netherlands in addition to the wonderful company the band was awesome and we had floor seats of which we did not sit down all night. It was magical.
ELO always did...and always will kick ass

Me too and I was not disappointed
Just saw them in July in Toronto and before that 1977 in Montreal. I recorded a few songs on my phone but sound was too loud for my phone and got distorted.

They were my very first concert summer after the sixth grade
The best concert of my life. I marked done in my bucket list.
Lucky you. My favorite group since I first heard them when I was overseas on Okinawa with the United States Marine Corps back in 1975.
same.... my girl surprised me with this ticket
Saw them in Sacramento. Took my wife, daughter and daughters’ boyfriend. Not just a concert - more of a major lifetime milestone!
The concert was absolutely brilliant...
Jeff Lynne is a musical genius...
Just got back from this show in Tampa last night. INCREDIBLE!!! Jeff Lynne and his band sound incredible - can't believe it took me 40 years to see this powerhouse live!
Colin, got that right, last saw at Chicago Stadium in during Out of the Blue tour in '78. Voice still phenomenal.

One of the best concerts i have been to last night in Chicago. I love that music from my childhood.
I saw ELO in the 80's. They were awesome concerts
One of the best shows I have seen in years. The sound was just impeccable!
I had a chocolate edible right before walking in, it hit right when ELO started and was sooooo amazing. Best concert of my life.
good story....!

Really nice editing job!
Incredible video work. Thank you. Is that Dhani Harrison? Jeff Lynne is the ultimate composer and band leader. A musical treasure.
I remember hearing Jeff once joke that, with reference to his own personal musical abilities, that were it not his band, he couldn't get into it! And yet he's a creative force with few peers. ELO un 10 los camarógrafos sin comentario
Was Rosie Langley on maternity leave?
Sonny's Oldies yes
How much did your tickets cost? I sat lower bowl at the Anaheim Show. Back of the stadium. Close to $200 a pop.
I paid $286 each which includes all fees. I purchased mine through Ticketmaster's resell market. I was definitely looking for a specific area to sit. It was expensive but there were much more expensive seats than mine.
You missed most of Mr Blue Sky!! :>((
No Richard Tandy?
Not currently. I believe he is recovering from some sort of medical issue. It's not really known what that is. Some have suggested he had carpel tunnel surgery, but that is rumor not fact as far as I know.
DOLLY PARTON LYNNE
