thanks for posting this! not involved in military but live in abq and will be dogsitting at kirtland next month and unsure what to expect so this helps. :)
Thank you for sharing your house, it's beautiful, can you please make a video of the dorms,(security forces) if they have kitchen so they can cook their food. Thank you.
Hey Zolia, Unfortunately I did not have access to any of the dorms and did not have any friends comfortable to share their dorm. We have since then moved away from this base, so I can not answer your question. I wish you luck and hope you do enjoy your time at Kirtland
A person with that kind of rank, or similar would most likely be in a different village than I showed in this video. From what I understood, village 2 had the same floor plan but with better curb appeal and appliances inside the home and such. I do not know about village 1, these would be your highest ranking officers. Of course it all depends on availability with housing which can effect what village you are in
@@thewolfsdenDIY I was in the Air Force way before you were born. So I was stationed at Vandenberg AFB in California and was in the 4392 CES. The head of the civil engineering was a civilian and he was discussing a problem that just came on base. HaHa A new general arrived with his wife and she had a crystal chandelier she wanted installed. He told her that the roof structure would not hold that king of weight. Her reply was I'm the generals wife I want it hung! They Hung it...
If you stay out of the bad areas it’s really not that bad. Avoid the “war zone” which is central and Wyoming. It’s near the base but once ur on base your fine
I’m going to guess 10’x20’. We were able to put a good sized inflatable pool in the back which stretched from our patio to the back fence but had plenty of room on the sides. Too small for a standard swing set though
Thank for sharing what rank the housing is for. Nothing more annoying than watching a tour and they fail to, or wait until the very end to, tell you that at your rank you don’t qualify for that housing anyway lol congrats 🎉
Of course! Some bases do make exceptions for rank housing based on the circumstances. For example, a single officer with no dependents was placed in village 5 regardless of their rank

You’re welcome. As stated in the video, this is just village 3 housing. Different villages have different floor plans
I lived in officers housing 25th loop (which no longer exists) near the O club from 1988-1992. Today retired and living in Albuquerque
Nice! I think the new club is near the inn now. Congrats on retirement!

Nice video. What kind of housing is offered to the base commander or 2 star general?

Haha! Sounds about right!
How do you like it there? Is it safe? We are pcsing there in a couple of months.
It was pretty nice. Living on the base made me feel much safer than living off
I am so nervous to move there. All I hear is how bad the crime is. 😩

How big is the privacy fenced area? We are about to move there and wondering what backyard toys we can fit there
