My husband was in the USAF for 17 and a half years. I loved our life in the military. We had 3 children while we were in. We were stationed at Dover, Del. then he went to Thailand for a year this was during ( Vietnam ) from there it was Norton in Calif. then Berlin, Germany, then Rhien Main Germany. Back to the states to Wright Pattinson in Ohio then back to Germany at Lindsey Air Station. I loved the moving and adventures. It was a great way of life for us.
Omg that sounds like amazing I would do anything bing for Germany. We are hoping to PCS out of Nellis in the future get to explore the world more. Thank you so much for watching and thank you for your service.
Thanks for this video!! It was very helpful for me to see what to expect from Nellis housing. Btw your decor its beautiful!!! Love what you did with the girls bathroom!!❤
Omg thank you so much it was a lot of hard work since it was my first voice over 😅 I'm so glad you liked it and I'm glad it helped you stay tuned as I am doing a tour of main side housing too !
My son just PCSed from Vance AFB OK to Edwards AFB CA. He got a great one level 4 bedroom house with a giant walled in back yard. I was at Edwards over 20 years ago but it looks like all the housing is new. I live across from Nellis, my son is trying to end up there.
That would be great so he can be close to family. We are hoping to PCS from Nellis we want a change of scenery and more family things to do. Thanks so much for your watching stay safe
My husband will be an E3 in the airforce once graduates Bootcamp next month. How long did it take for you guys to move into on-base housing? Do you get to pick your house? We have a son and plan on having more kids later on.
Hi I am so sorry for the late response we have been a bit busy :) so once your husband gets to tech school and gets orders to your first duty station contact the housing office for that base and see what the procedure is for applying for base housing. at Nellis where we are now you have to put your application no earlier than 45 days before the date he has to report to his new base. Once our 45 day mark came we applied online and within a week we got offered a house via email showing us pictures of the house and we had to accept it over an email which we did. But this could be different depending what your base will be ;) it took us maybe a week after we got here for our house to be move in ready and about 4 more days for our household goods to get here from new york . Check out our pcs journey if you want to see vlogs from that :) . You don't get to pick your house but you do get to decide if you want to say yes to the one they offer you if not they will offer you a second one if you reject that one then your dropped off the list and have to start all over or look off base. they go based on number of kids you may have if you only have one child here they would offer you a 2 bedroom, but when we moved they said they did not have a 2 bedroom available they gave us a 3 bedroom. Hopefully that has helped again so sorry for the late response literally just saw this today been running around after my crazy little toddler stay tuned I will back to vloggin soon :) thanks so much for watching
life with the 4 of us haha no problem! It’s actually perfect timing because my husband graduates BMT this Friday! Thank you for the information it was very helpful!
Hey i was wondering and i wanted to know if i can make more money there i am a Registered nurse right now in kaiser permanente in Southern California making 67 hr and about to finish my Family nurse practitioner in 2 years and was thinking to join then with a master degree and see if its worth to join was wondering if i get paid pretty good and would i be able to get free housing with my family if i stay in base
I loved it! We are getting stationed there in March or April. I saw in an earlier comment that main housing is older. Is that the terrace community that show on the housing website? We will be O1e and it shows the landings as our option. Im a little nervous to be moving to Vegas 😭😭 any places that are good for kids on base or off base? Also, how much is the fence to rent? Trying to get a little bit of a budget planned out 😂🤣
Welcome to Nellis if it's officer housing it will be on this side of base we called the hospital so side since the hospital is here. There is no officer housing on main side. Because of covid we haven't gone out much but there are nice parks and things to do outdoors like red rock and mount charleston. When doing your shopping stay in the north west area look for the area in decatur which has target walmart hobby lobby costco. Off base good areas are Aliante, north west centennial also summerlin and henderson. The fence is only 25 bucks a month but to install it it's around 80 if it's not already there from previous tenants. Any other questions feel free to add me on instagram we are under the same name 😁
@@lifewiththe4ofus285 Thanks for the reply. We are in the process of looking at houses in the community as well but I need to keep my options open since the market is crazy right now.
Thanks so much 😁 just using small nails you don't have to worry about any holes as long as they are no bigger than a dime I believe. But we will patch when we move.
Thank you for the house tour! It's very nice to see what I have to look forward to 🙂 everyone says that spiders and scorpions are bad there, have you had any problems? Does the base spray for pests or no?
Hi thanks so much for watching 😁 we have lived here 3 years and I have never seen an actual scorpion 😅 or spider any bigger than your normal ones, but some people have had them before. Housing actually does spray for pest tou just have to call and put in a maintenance request for spraying. They come once every month if you want and it's free 😁
@@ashk315 oh yeah no problem I dont think you will ever see one 😅 welcome to Nellis I'll be doing a video so the main side housing soon so stay tuned for that.😉

Do you have a three or four bedroom house? I’m PCS’ing to Nellis in a few months and am wondering what the different floor plans look like.
Hi this was a 3 bedroom home newer housing which they referred to the hospital side. I believe this is layout E.
We moved off base and bought a home.
