    Jens intro sounds like he's summoning Bach's soul.

    Listen to him go from fusion, to harmonic minor, to melodic minor, to natural minor. He uses each mode to wonderful effect.

      Not really. You complain about a beautiful synth, yet are oddly okay with the muddied, muffled flood of white noise, screeching, trashcan bashing, banging and screaming... Unlike you, I love ALL of it. !!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    Only two people could ever sing this song live convincingly like the album. Jeff and Mark. Yngwie was so spoiled by the best ever.

  • @jdtaramona
    @jdtaramona 5 лет назад +7

    Amazing song, I remember that it was the first time I listened Yngwie and It was really impressing. As Ron Tal said he was a pioneer on neoclassical metal and that is it. Jens intro is truly amazing. He interplays with Yngwie were revolutionary. If someone can do that much better than them is another story, and if Yngwie does not play so clean as others, or if his ego is disgusting for many of you is arguable. But, for me, is clear that neoclassical shred rock was another since that concert. At least my life changed since that concert. Thanks for sharing!!!

      Jens es un virtuoso al igual que Y. Malmsteen.... Por eso forma parte de la banda, sino estaría fuera.... No obstante, comparto con Riki Merino, John Lord, es una leyenda (QPD) en el género del rock y la psicodelia de Deep Purple. Saludos rokeros

    really not a huge yngwie fan (he's a good guitarist and all that, but I think all of his solos sound exactly the same, and are just a barrage of harmonic minor and phrygian shredding), but he always has good musicians with him! The Johansson Brothers and Jeff Scott Soto really made this performance for me.

    • @tonyflorez3753
      @tonyflorez3753 5 лет назад +4

      Im not an yngwie fan either
      But i think you are wrong
      If his solos sound the same to you something is wrong with your ears,
      Try to learn some of his solos before making a statement like that man,!
      Youll change your mind if you can play some of his solos correctly.

      @francescopanciroli1382 6 лет назад +5

      Wow, one year.
      Anyway, he refused, that's why they took Derek.
      Dream Theater was searching only for a temporary replacement and Jens clearly says, in a lot of interviews, that he was searching for a stable place in a band, not only a two years permanence.
      In fact, as stated by Portnoy, Jens was his primary choice for Liquid Tension Experiment as well, and not Rudess.
      He prefer Johansson due to his amazing fusion works, but it wasn't possible, at the time, because of Stratovarius.
      On Drum Nations vol 2 you can hear a collaboration between both Jens and Portnoy.
