I improvised and I just added a dish sponge foam, that I cut to put in the ear muff, that was rated as 35 SNR or 31 NRR. I was surprised how well it worked. On top of that I also can use foam ear plugs with a 38 SNR or 33 NRR. Usually an ear muff + ear plugs add an additional 5 NRR to the highest rated between the two. That would be about 38 NRR, but unsure how much more with the additional dish sponge. Every decibel reduction helps, no matter how little it may be.
@@Jean78578 Your video was inspirational in increasing the unknown NRR. It was still increased nonetheless. I just used it with a higher NRR rated ear muff to give it that extra oomph.
I’m pretty sure she mentioned that she was adding the acoustic foam for the specific purpose of increasing the noise reduction. I’m not trying to come across as snippy but if you watched the whole video, you would not have needed to ask that question.
This is great, thanks a lot for sharing. Would you also have a solution for a sleep-version? I sleep on my side and I believe these are not comfortable in that position.
I use ear protection ear muffs (like the kind Tech Angel is using) for sleeping. I use a travel pillow (shaped like a U) and I can get into a fairly comfortable side-sleeping position that way.

Very nice.. Thanks for the additional insight!

Try using memory foam in and around the earpiece. It’s a game changer
Will it block all the shouts of children shouting and different loud noises?
It lowers/ muffles all surrounding noise. It's not a miracle worker. Just kidding. :).
@@Jean78578 alright, thanks very much!
if i increase the foam, will increase the Noise Reduction too?

I'm guessing the more foam you can get in, the better noise reduction.
Super!! Thanks a lot.

The only night time earplugs that work for me are the wax ones. A headset won't work..

Where we would get such kind of foam..
Often, packing materials include foam.
Is it comfortable for study ?
Yes. Very lightweight.
Is it comfortable wearing them while sleeping?
No. Unless you sleep exclusively on your back (not on your side)
Thanks for letting me know.
Lol
Eh, it works for me. Of course I don't sleep in them regularly...

How does cotton fluff work?
Any additional material added will help dampen sound.
Very useful
