- It happened on live TV. News anchor Lisa Rose read a story about a bomb threat, only to realize at the end it was about a different kind of "bomb threat." The story, Lisa's realization & then the next story about a missing tree were too much for news anchor Ethan Forhetz.
I think it was the back to back stories about blowing up a bathroom and a stolen bonsai tree that broke him

The most underrated part of all this is the owners of the Bonzai tree asking for a message to be delivered to the tree. "Are you at least getting enough water?"

They’re laughing because the tree story is just as ridiculous as the one previous.
If you think about it, because of the dump story that actually made the bonsai one a lot more popular
The tree story obviously needed to be fertilized by the dump story. This was the ideal place to put it in the news cycle.

I need a second to breathe. This is the news station in my city. I remember watching both of these news reports live in tv and me and my family who were eating dinner just broke out laughing. It was a good day. But seriously the news station is only a few miles from my house.

@Julie W. Ah, ok. I didn't catch that part I thought it was somewhere local. Either way, a crappy thing to do. Once I was dating a girl that was into arts & crafty type stuff and she was doing some kinda Arrangement around her fireplace and mentioned needing pine cones that were symmetrical, unbroken, the bigger the better etc... So, if I'd be out on a run or walking my dog and spotted one that looked up to snuff, I'd collect it. Wasn't a big deal but it was kind of a nuisance having to carry them etc... well I ended up with about a dozen or so and I put them on my back porch. I lived in a townhouse at the time. You know, communal outside space but the back porch was _MY_ property. Must have forgotten how much people suck because sure enough someone pinched about half of them. Ppl just don't respect personal space or other people's property.
