I'd "do the pidgeons". I went to Texas once to "do the seagulls". just feeding them on Galveston beach, I had like 30 seagulls flying around me while I walked on the beach with food in my hands, and they ate from my hand. I love birds. I really loved that moment, one thing I also was amazed about, none of the seagulls shit on me
Ricky was completely right about Karl picking the jetpack activity. He did it just because he thought it'd annoy Warwick, but it immediately backfired. He's like a child sometimes; doing stupid things just to spite someone else.
I remember when Karl (xfm) wanted to go to the effort of getting a job in a shoe shop, so he could tell a posh girl that she had "fat ankles" & put her in her place. Pretty elaborate (& weird) way of making his point. 😅
@@bradders9743 Because it's something that he picked that he thought only he would get any enjoyment out of. He wanted Warwick to be stuck there on the boat watching him have the time of his life. I don't know much about the specific problems associated with dwarfism, but Warwick's short stature might have stopped him from taking part in activity anyways. I mean, the jetpack looked bigger than him, and I'm not sure that he would have been able to get his feet down since Karl was having a hard time doing so.
The balloon thing was actually discussed on XFM around 20 years ago when Karl told Ricky and Stephen how many helium balloons could lift a man (which according to him was 6000 balloons) and the three of them actually started discussing how they would do it with Karl strapped to balloons. Karl even seemed to be on board with it strangely enough. Eventually a few shows later Karl did a complete 180 and said he'd gone off the idea and that seemed to be the end of it. Then around ten 10 years later this episode aired and (almost) gave everyone what they wanted.
As far as the Masquerade ball goes I assume there are rules of dress and etiquette when attending that means you’re not allowed to ask certain things like “do you do this often” or you have to talk in a way similar to how the character you are dressed may talk.
Hi Mandy! I'm loving all of your videos, particularly everything Karl Pilkington related. Being from the UK I consider him a national treasure, and first heard him on XFM 22 years ago now! Needless to say I was instantly addicted to his craziness and have followed his career ever since! It's so awesome to see people from other countries fall in love with him too! Hope you're feeling better now, and can't wait to see part 2!! Lee
I knew you'd love this episode. Karl is even funnier when he has to interact with someone and he is challenged to get along socially. Your reaction was delightful.

I've just had the best time, laughing at you, laughing at Karl. It genuinely cheered me up, no end. Suzanne is real enough. She's a good looking, smiley lady, who doesn't look suited to Karl, at all...and yet, they're still together.
You're the first reactor, that was laughing as hard as I was at the "I saw me life flash before me eyes," what did you see," "seaweed," bit. I've seen many people react to it, no one else has caught it.
He said a similar thing during the Jordan episode about his life flashing before his eyes and that he "saw black" (because of the bag over his head), totally not understanding the saying lol
I could definately watch this twice. Great reactions & thoughts as usual. Karl is such a fascinating creature... he's almost like someone that you know, yet there is no-one else at all like him.
I think Karl and Suzanne are pretty much similar to me and my wife, friends call us Ice and Fire, it just works, we don't fight, we are polar opposites but we come together on the important things. I also think the dynamic between Ricky, Karl is the same because they came from working class backgrounds and made it and I can totally relate to that too, most of my childhood friends are incarcerated or dead, sorry to bring the vibe down, but it is not an uncommon story. Love you Mand
I just spent the last hour at work pretending to do my job watching your videos on my phone while occasionally typing on the keyboard not even words, your reaction was priceless, always warms my heart to see you laugh, don't forget "the moaning of life" is basically the same format of this show and has Ricky and Steve and other guests in it!

Karl is dressed as the lead character from the 17th century play Il Pagliacci. The clown is torn between the persona of appearing jolly and making people laugh despite being very miserable in his own life. In a way very apt for Karl. There is an operatic song called Il Pagliacci that you might like to listen to. Especially since you have a love of theatre.
Warwick wasn’t necessarily correcting Karl’s behaviour at the party. It was more to do with Karl not being in character, which he was a supposed to be the character of his costume

I think Karl's costume might be one depiction of Punchinello from 17th century commedia dell'arte. I'm not certain though. It would be appropriate as Punchinello's aim was to cheer people up.
The “pleasure machine”, the failed jet pack and the balloons at the end, had me laughing the whole way through! 😂 apart from the people sticking objects in their mouth 😭
There's a good parallel here with the 'Mitchell and Webb 3rd Person Caeser'. Karl was trying to talk to the masked guests as himself, seeing them as people in costumes. Warrick couldn't get it into Karl's head that they were all playing characters, not dressup. "'ullo, am t'dream weava an that, alrite?" I'd love to see him at a hardcore recreationist event, where no one ever dropped out of character, his head would explode.
I was literally crying with laughter during the jetpack scene 🤣😂That hasn't happened for a long time and I don't cry much either so thank you for letting me know that my eyes still produce tears 🤪 This was beyond epic and I can't wait for the next one 🤩☺

You could be a personality / vibe doppelganger of Aisling Bea. 😅

There are different types of bagpipes all around Europe and Asia and all of them have one thing in common: they are either made from the skin of a sheep or goat because it's already air-tight, flexible, and absorbs moisture well (from condensation from your breath). I have to say that I wouldn't have preferred to have one where they'd kept the head on it (a bit macabre), but they eat the meat from the goat anyway, so it's not like the goat would have lived. Anyway, I really enjoyed this!
Soul Calibur III is amazing!!!!!!!!! Yes! ^5 Voldo is so freaky the way he moves. My fave is Tira though, girl with the ring blade thing.. she's deliciously evil The whole masked ball thing gives me associations with Eyes Wide Shut (movie) and the band Ghost.. in their early days they pretty much wore the masks Warren had on The whole balloon flight thing was first talked about on an episode of XFM, so will be great when you can go through those radio shows one day
To be fair, Warwick was correcting and micromanaging a lot. Telling him how to act, that sort of thing. I think a lot of people would be bothered by that.
Woohoo! Enjoyed that! I knew it would be good when I saw the vid was 20 minutes longer than the show 😆 The thing you were explaining with the water is called para-sailing, it's a great idea until you get to a bridge 🤭🤭 Also don't forget you've got Moaning of Life, which has a similar feel to the shows, so plenty more Karl to see 😃
As for feeling uncomfortable, a few years back my step daughter at the time celebrated her birthday at our house, being served by staff in my own house and garden wasn’t me , I left to my local pub and enjoyed better company
32:29 Karl: "(Jet Pack) Push you in the air that looks like a superpower it's the closest thing to flying." One step closer the practical implementation of Bullshit Man that can fly (it's not the main superpower though).
I'm fanboying over this Mandy fangirling. Yup. You heard it right. Eeeee. Pretty sure at the start it is where Ricky and Karl filmed Learning English, I also think that's legitimately Ricky's house. Thank you for reminding me that Aisling Bea was in her underwear 😊 Never played Soul Calibre, but did play the original Soul Blade. Voldo was the weirdest character, like a creepy, mechanically blind, Venetian killer.
Me too. A lot of K. Dilkington reaction content out there, but I def think Mandy has the most appreciation & love for Karl...which I respect...however, lately seems to be more of a crush on the round headed one 🤣 ...*yes, we see you Mandy...that twinkle in your eye with Karl's refection in it 🤭 ...don't worry, if Suzanne comes after you, just do a Karl and say "oven"! agreed I've learned about 40% of my knowledge from cartoons and animation
spilt my vino laughing!! great reaction cant wait for the next one!!
42:09 - Means "Limited Traffic Zones" ;)
Thank you! 🤗
Even funnier watching it with you, than it was the first time 😂😂😂😂😂
There are different types of bagpipes all around Europe and Asia and all of them have one thing in common: they are either made from the skin of a sheep or goat because it's already air-tight, flexible, and absorbs moisture well (from condensation from your breath). I have to say that I wouldn't have preferred to have one where they'd kept the head on it (a bit macabre), but they eat the meat from the goat anyway, so it's not like the goat would have lived.
Anyway, I really enjoyed this!
Welp, that is something I didn't want to learn! Haha. Thank you though! 🤗🤗
42:12 "What was that sign?" As far as I can make out, it means "No motor vehicles - (road reserved for cyclists or pedestrians)"
Should I feel bad I was glad you were laughing so hard your stomach hurt? 🤣
Naah, we're good! 🤪🤗
Soul Calibur III is amazing!!!!!!!!! Yes! ^5 Voldo is so freaky the way he moves. My fave is Tira though, girl with the ring blade thing.. she's deliciously evil
The whole masked ball thing gives me associations with Eyes Wide Shut (movie) and the band Ghost.. in their early days they pretty much wore the masks Warren had on
The whole balloon flight thing was first talked about on an episode of XFM, so will be great when you can go through those radio shows one day
Ahhh! Tira was awesome!!!!
To be fair, Warwick was correcting and micromanaging a lot. Telling him how to act, that sort of thing. I think a lot of people would be bothered by that.
brilliant reaction video, had pins laughing at 2am
Thank you! 🌈🤗
"I was more concerned I was gonna get pooped on."
Surely she wasn't THAT mean???
HAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHAA. Good one!
I loved SoulCalibur on the Sega Dreamcast 💚
Yeah that would be uncomfortable to me too...I imagine
Karl stared in his own series called Sick of It
32:29 Karl: "(Jet Pack) Push you in the air that looks like a superpower it's the closest thing to flying."
One step closer the practical implementation of Bullshit Man that can fly (it's not the main superpower though).
Need to watch season 2 but this was interesting didnt even know their was S3
It is only 3 episodes 😔 But so far, hilarious!
10:02 That is awful yet hilarious 😂
Never thought I would be so entertained by someone's misery! 🤣🤣🤣
Keep an eye on the rooms they stay in. Wawrick gets a nice room and Karl always gets a broom closet ( on purpose by the way ).
Another injustice!
Voldo had knife punchy dagger things! See I knew you were cool! Lol
I'm fanboying over this Mandy fangirling. Yup. You heard it right. Eeeee.
Pretty sure at the start it is where Ricky and Karl filmed Learning English, I also think that's legitimately Ricky's house.
Thank you for reminding me that Aisling Bea was in her underwear 😊
Never played Soul Calibre, but did play the original Soul Blade.
Crisis averted.
