You can’t be serious?! Karl is one of the most homophobic, transphobic, ableist, etc people you could imagine. There’s not necessarily much malice in it, it’s more through ignorance, but his intolerances, prejudices and outdated views are staggering. Notwithstanding the fact these shows are 10-20 years old.

Years after the show and Karl still complains that Warwick did not get ill ( because Karl got ill in the first shows ). The one thing that annoyed him most of all was that Warwick was not unhappy/sick/on the toilet 😄. If you're poor and normal, no one cares and you're simply screwed, but if have an extra arm, you can always just charge money for people to come around and see it. Of course, they would likely choose a life where they didn't have to rely on that sort of thing to make a living. A life where they could live "normally", but that's not the choice they or anyone get to make. People play with the hand they're delt, not the hand they wish they had.

Yes, laughter yoga works with the mind-body connection that keeps us healthy. And Karl, of course, makes lots of people laugh, so he is a health-giver to many! Back to laughter yoga, the clip does not show the process as well as it could do (though, surprisingly Karl did a decent job of regretting the decline of laughter in the wider world!). This is a show that seeks comedy, so it gets mileage out of Karl, Warwick and some people exercising in the morning. While the saying 'Laughter is the best medicine' is, like almost everything else we say, subject to exceptions, a sense of well-being/relaxation/perspective does tend to help the whole system. And also, laughter is infectious - so those older men doing their exercises probably moved into actual laughter after the initial starting techniques. I bet they walked home feeling better than when they got there!

Not all films are made equally, an open minded actor should relish the chance to see how others work their craft. Edit 23:24 Love the role reversal here... Warwick moaning away while Karl is the voice of reason. Not a dig at Warwick (big Willow fan... the film, obviously) as he's clearly frustrated with the outcome of something he takes very seriously.

You mean Warwick’s complaints on his takes? That’s more quality of life things, not rejecting other peoples craft.

@@jgunner94Warwick's description of how the Indian film crew work (their craft): "It was chaotic." "It wasn't very professional." "They do one take and move on." "It was a shambles." "Nothing feels right about this whole thing." He's clearly frustrated but an open minded actor would try and learn something (what NOT to do, even) but instead he blames them, obsessing over the final (only) take. This way of working isn't unique to India, he's been in the acting business long enough to know this. I think, in the moment, it just really got to Warwick and he couldn't take his own advice. I just think that's a shame.

4:45 Ricky's a meanie, that's 1 of Karl's 2 favourite things in life... he also likes Manchester United. Edit 9:32 I'm more critical of Karl than most when it comes to his words of wisdom... but he's dead right here. Many people have forgotten or are ignorant of the healing power of laughter. They'd rather be brought together by negative emotions... cough "Twitter". We Brits survive on our humour, even when we have a dig at each other it keeps us on common ground, a shared bond of sorts. I hope we don't lose that.

    Lolol, poor Karl. 😂
I really can't comprehend the dancing in Bollywood movies and don't understand why people watch them. It's akin to torture, lol.
And the pverty, filth and delapidation everywhere, nothing maintained, nothing cleaned. I'm with Karl, you'd need to pay me a lot of money to go to India, it's not somewhere I would want to spend my time.

Mandy, I love your energy and your laugh and your hair. You're the prettiest lady in Argentina. And in fact, I imagine you would be fun knowing in person. You're fun to watch. For a while, I've been thinking "I could have used a clone of Mandy as a friend in person." We do need more Mandys in the world. I really love you Mandy.
Wikipedia says Warwick Davis was born February 3, 1970.
"The compost route." I looked that up. I guess I can imagine, cause (I know you don't believe in it, but.....) the Bible does say we were made from the dust of the earth, and also "for dust you are, and to dust you shall return." Please just bury me. There's a particular cemetery I want to be buried in, and if I can't be buried in that one, I have a second choice of cemetery I want to be buried in. I'd rather have a spot where people can go visit and see that I was once here. I prefer not to be part of someone's backyard or garden bed. I didn't know all of that about the Ganges either. I've always wished I could visit India (among lots of other places in the world), including the Ganges River. I just can't imagine walking along (or swimming along, if I could swim), then all of a sudden there's hundreds of bodies being cremated or thrown into the river.
How many times did Karl wind up on stage during the filming of this series? On stage so much in this episode. On stage during Route 66. So many times he was on stage. Someone please tell us how many times he wound up on stage during An Idiot Abroad. That's his on stage resume. He could do Broadway, after this series.
Karl and circus. That's fitting. 😂Sometimes when I see something similar to clown outfits, I also think "Swiss Guard."

This season ran in 2012. "Derek" was on from 2012-'14. Karl was actually quite decent as the janitor. The show was bit disturbing as Ricky played a mentally-challenged character. His acting was quite good but the concept of laughing at his difficulties was a bit touchy. I think it was an ambitious failure. Warwick also co-starred with Ricky and Stephen in the series "Life's Too Short" (2011-'13) which was a fake-reality show about Warwick's life and acting career. Very funny. Warwick was born in 1970 (two years before Karl) and was 13 or so when he debuted as an Ewok in "Return of the Jedi" in 1983.
