Glad you are on
This is so beautiful! Over half of my people (Māori) still follow the old ways worshipping the old gods & goddesses. Unfortunately Christianity, Catholicism, & Mormonism have a large amount of us and Islam is growing. My hope is that at the very least my tribe stays true to Paganism & at the very most all Māori stay true to tradition. I have no interest in converting Christians. I only want fellow Māori to stay on the path. That said I love seeing other groups revive or embrace their traditions. It would be a beautiful day if we got the privilege of seeing a large-scale Britonic god/goddess revival!
Preserve your heritage and safeguard yourself and your communities from the barbaric abrahamic cults.
Ahh hearing bansuss brittonon being mentioned warmth my heart
Congratulations on the new job, sounds perfect for “The Oak Witch” - you were born for this, it would seem. Good to see you. You look radiant - bet that’s the new job, find your joy. Great comeback, this is a subject I’m very much interested in personally, thank you so much for that. Good Fortune, for the future, and Many, Many Blessings.
Thank you so much for the kind words ☺️
I really appreciate this!! Reading on Albion and Beyond or Dun Brython is one thing, but experience and praxis from an active practitioner is priceless!! Thank you. This has given me quite a bit of context and nuance, otherwise left out in those sources.
Congratulations on your new position! I enjoy your videos and I learn so much from you. Thank you for your time sharing with us!
Lovely and informative video, Ari. Thank you. The earrings in devotion to Sulis are stunning! 🌞 Great to see you doing well and many congratulations on your new job! How wonderful to be out in the forest! 🌲💚🌲
Thank you Helena, glad you enjoyed the video!
Nice seeing Albion and Beyond getting known more.
Congrats on the new job - Although I am not of British decent - I enjoy your videos :) - living in New England - many of my friends are of Anglo/Irish decent ( and had a hard time believing the Celts actual came from Eastern/Central Europe ) so I am familiar with the deities but I'd never heard of any of the deities you mentioned! very informative - I do have an affinity for Lugh ( I know he's Irish ha ha ) !! Really enjoy your videos !
Thank you for this. It was an interesting one. Blessings 🕯️
Thanks for sharing a little more of your evolving practice! Coventina really stood out to me as a young pagan, maybe it's time to look back into her and reach out. Congratulations on your new job!
Thank you!
When it comes to Irish and Brythonic gods, There is the theory that the Irish peoples were originally Brythonic settlers , So if that is true there is probably a connection between the two groups of gods.
With new challenges and isolation old gods, take on new names and meanings over time.
I’d love to see a video about your new job! 🌳
Congratulations on your job, being in an environment that you enjoy why you are working is always a good thing. Enjoyed your video & chat. I only have 1 question. Is that a green butterfly or frog on your bag on the door handle? .
I really enjoyed your video. I'd love to see spellings of the names you have given.
Great video!!
Thank you!
Congrats on your new job!
Thank you!
Shout from england I just come across your RUclips videos new sub I'm learning about paganism
interesting video! it's funny you pronounce the names of british deities with almost a spanish accent! are there guides on how to pronounce these ancient names?
Congratulations on your new job! And this video. If you don't mind me asking just curious who is your deities? And what if you have a lot of English ansestors but you where raise Christain Baptist in the U.S.A?
The deities I worship are the ones I mentioned in the video! And anyone can be a Brittonic pagan, regardless of their religious background.
An interesting book, Ritual journeys with great British goddesses. Suzie Fox. You may have read it? I also live near a place stonea camp where Boudicca had a battle. Quite a cool place, very sad a childs skull was found on the site that had been bashed in.
I haven't read it but it's been on my wishlist for a while!
So Belatucadros could be something of a farmer or gardeners god? If not, do know of one that could be?
Thank you for sharing... i find that I am most intrigued by Brigantia myself as she seemed to be somewhat regional from where my lineage came from before moving to Australia... however I'm finding it so hard to find information specific to her and not just lumping her in as Brigid... do you have any recommendations for reading and/or where you were able to find information about her? 🥰🥰
Brigantia IS Brigid 😊
❤️❤️❤️
Sulis!
we call her Päivä or Koi (päivä means
the daughter of thunder, so it´s the
different elements seen as families,
often according to age).
or you could say all the outer
forces that can influence your life
(local / tangible forces, something
you can actually experience).
even something like fortune seems
too abstract to me.. at least
here there was a different luck for
everything important (like with
fishing luck a different spirit
for each waterway, different word
for luck).
it´s both nature and human emotions,
mixed together (sun brings back
hope and joy).
counterforces to the bad things
(war god is also a peace god).
thank you, i got some clarity
(and then just confused myself again,
i got thinking why they are all outer
forces, is it because the inner forces
were seen more as souls or ancestors
("beside my(s)elf"), or because
people were less self centered, more
part of the whole).
also is puck same as fuck (for us p=f,
i refuse to keep it asexual, also
miss pucking, the Real folk deities
you know).
also i think it´s important to
understand how fleeting some of these
relationships can be.
for example this evening i followed
this particular elf girl, but tomorrow
i won´t even remember her name..
ruclips.net/video/_L9v07MnIxk/видео.html
i´ll go back to the elves (healers)
that actually do it for me.. i was
just captured by her powers for
a moment (it was good but it wasn´t
to last, maybe just good placement
of camera).
same thing back then, you found new
things all the time, got bored of
old things.
short distance from polytheistic to
polyamorous (for some possibly the
same, not for me).
also i think the very thought
of "common gods" might be rather
late one..
if there were some it was most
likely at the tribe / clan level
(mythical ancestors).
so that would fall to the leaders
/ elite section (leading families
wanting to preserve their
ancestry).
so my argument, for the common
people, is that it was mostly
individual spirits, that might
change rather often (of course
natural forces like the sun are
common for all, but it´s a highly
individual relationship).
it´s your family (ancestor spirits)
and whatever else you held important
enough to give you what you needed
(and if they didn´t do it you
could punish, stop giving back
or even get rid of the idols,
so it was more equal in that way,
here at least).
so in that regard, even spirits like
puck would be to a degree "fake",
you would be more likely to toot
your own horn!
Enya is a godess
