@@arunk2710 Actually I don't use it for gaming. I played some I would say normal games on it and it wasn't hot but I never played anything graphical challenging on it and not for that long. Based on other reviews it handles it really well. The new generation of SoC can maintain fps way more constant also it has nice gaming improvement options to upscale the fps on games. In normal use it doesn't get hot at all. Only when getting charged but only slightly and it's charged so fast. It's an incredible phone imo. Best SoC on the market, best battery life on any flagship. Don't believe this guy here. The camera is really good. In some cases better than Samsung, Apple or Google. Also oxygenOS/ColorOS is amazing imo. There is not a single lag I experienced. So I can definitely recommend the phone, aswell for gaming and everything else. It doesn't have any major weakness, like Samsung, Google or Apple have with slow charging.

All phones have 120hz refresh rate, OnePlus has DC dimming for brightness control which makes it easier for the camera to capture the screen hence it looks better
For the 1st time xiaomi ever win a battery battle test. Even beating the iphone 16PM. It shows how much miui and hyper os have been polished over the years. Proud Xiaomi 12 Pro user, considering to upgrade to the Xiaomi 15 Pro

Prev xiaomi phone was never on par to its competitor when it comes to efficiency regardless of its battery size, let alone winning the battery battle. But i dont mind, my xiaomi 12 pro full charge in under 15 minutes most of the time, after 3 years and still performs fine, no battery issue yet.

The phone with the biggest battery won the battery duration test. Shocking! While you guys are shocked by the fact water is wet, Im a little more impressed with the temperature management. Hopefully the optimization isnt so aggressive, it delays notifications.
Comparing iPhone's battery life with Android isn't fair as iPhones are very restrictive with what it allows the user to do and does not have feature parity with Android. HyperOS 2.0 clearly doing it's job - I'm just sad due to a lack of external desktop mode.
If only apple would put larger batteries they'd have the best by far. Over the past 3 years it only increased by 300mah from 13 pro max lol. Xiamoi and iPhone seemed to be neck and neck until the video recording though.

Do you often shoot videos with a locked screen, like on xiaomi 15? This mode probably saves battery well while recording videos, but who uses it in real life? In other scenarios, the discharge is the same for iphone and xiaomi, so you need to disable this screen lock on xiaomi for the purity of the experiment, the discharge is likely to increase.
There is no comparison between these devices yet, let all other devices get a few optimizations through updates like the iPhone, plus all other devices are on WQHD except iphone. OnePlus 12 is out of this league now because it's an old last year model battery health also matters in this case with other factors.

Do remember that OnePlus 13 is a performance focused phone that runs on wqhd and 120 fps constantly compared to iphone. Also, Xiaomi themselves shoved a graph during their presentation where OnePlus was higher ranked in battery life (top 1)
Samsung better bring some heat with the S25 series in terms of battery. It might have to be a lot better optimizations bc probs can't make much more space for larger batteries in their phones
Not a true reality test but nice! I hate iPhones but it's truly a beast when it comes to optimisations. If xiaomi lasted 12 hours with a 6, 000 mah battery that only means the iPhone would have went about 15 or 16 hours with the same battery. Jesus! 👑
Bear in mind that the iPhone was equal at 46% before the video tests, while Xiaomi turned off the front display most of the time; it is quite possible that the iPhone, without the video test, would have made 15h, matched or beat Xiaomi, and destroyed the S24U.

This test is not right somehow. The iPhone had almost 50% of the battery when the pixel switched off. But the final result showed pixel is 10 hours and the iPhone is 12 hours, only 2 hours different. Keep the intensity of the task balanced throughout the test instead of running the camera at the last till it dies.
The test is right and valid for his method but that's also my biggest issue with his testing. To those who don't know better they'd see this test as being closer than it is when one dies at the start of the Video recording bit...which is the most intensive element. I'd consider making it a fixed time limit to record and then cycle through apps used again.

Yes, having the video recording at the end makes the worst-performing devices look better than they are. He does it because it saves time, as video is the most intensive task. Do what I do: stop and look at the results before the video and extrapolate the results. So, in this video, the iPhone was at 46% at 9h51m, so if we repeated the round again without video, the iPhone would have reached around 18h, the Pixel only 10h, and the S24U around 13h.
The fact that the iPhone can compete in battery Life with 4600 mah against competitors with 6000mah is mindblowing. But in my experience, the battery life is good, till a new iPhone gets presented. 😅

I have had the s24 ultra and the OnePlus 12 and currently use the pixel 9 pro. In my experience, and I'm a power user. The pixel has better battery life than both of them.
Weird, i think you have a setting messed up on the OnePlus phones. I've owned Pixel, OnePlus and S Ultra phones, and the OnePlus 12 blows them out of the water in battery life. By like. 20-40% at the end of the day. Something seems broken.
Yes, this test is not representative of my experience on the OnePlus 12. It consistently gets 8+ hours of screen time with full res, 120 Hz, and 5G. I can easily get 10+ hours on WiFi only. It's much better than the S24 Ultra when I had the S24 Ultra before returning it for the OP12.
Some say, it has 6000 mAh battery, of course it’ll win… at the same time it has under 5000 mAh battery and is thicker than the 6000 mAh phones - just consider the product as a whole and if it wins, it wins!
All these phones did an amazing job not going to 🤥 but I really wanted one plus 13 to win also OnePlus 12 or S24 ultra are both worth considering picking up pixel 9 pro XL in last place with 10 hour isn't bad at all way better than pixel 8 pro trust me it is an upgrade 😮❤

if you watch, during the video test, it kept stopping video recording, and going to the timer. I'm pretty sure this affected the test.

I wouldn't feel bad. You may as well get longer battery life with future updates containing optimizations. I'd say 12 hours plus is doable.
Do remember that OnePlus 13 is a performance focused phone that runs on wqhd and 120 fps constantly compared to iphone. Also, Xiaomi themselves shoved a graph during their presentation where OnePlus was higher ranked in battery life (top 1)
I wouldn't be worried about it. Dave2D benchmark shows the 13 is the longest life phone in the OnePlus family.
Samsung better bring some heat with the S25 series in terms of battery. It might have to be a lot better optimizations bc probs can't make much more space for larger batteries in their phones

Not a true reality test but nice! I hate iPhones but it's truly a beast when it comes to optimisations. If xiaomi lasted 12 hours with a 6, 000 mah battery that only means the iPhone would have went about 15 or 16 hours with the same battery. Jesus! 👑
Bear in mind that the iPhone was equal at 46% before the video tests, while Xiaomi turned off the front display most of the time; it is quite possible that the iPhone, without the video test, would have made 15h, matched or beat Xiaomi, and destroyed the S24U.

He should record something instead of just laying it flat. It's important to monitor the recording mode on the Xiaomi, as that mode definitely inflates SOT. I wouldn’t expect the iPhone to win, but it would be closer. However, I usually don’t rely on the video test; I compare the devices beforehand. In that regard, the iPhone was a joint winner at 46% with Xiaomi. I rarely use video recording-I mostly take photos.

This test is not right somehow. The iPhone had almost 50% of the battery when the pixel switched off. But the final result showed pixel is 10 hours and the iPhone is 12 hours, only 2 hours different. Keep the intensity of the task balanced throughout the test instead of running the camera at the last till it dies.
So he can’t do real test on anything, as no one use phone constantly, not on wifi also, its not possible to create ideal situation 😅
The test is right and valid for his method but that's also my biggest issue with his testing. To those who don't know better they'd see this test as being closer than it is when one dies at the start of the Video recording bit...which is the most intensive element. I'd consider making it a fixed time limit to record and then cycle through apps used again.

Do what I do: stop and look at the results before the video and extrapolate the results. So, in this video, the iPhone was at 46% at 9h51m, so if we repeated the round again without video, the iPhone would have reached around 18h, the Pixel only 10h, and the S24U around 13h.

I have had the s24 ultra and the OnePlus 12 and currently use the pixel 9 pro. In my experience, and I'm a power user. The pixel has better battery life than both of them.

Weird, i think you have a setting messed up on the OnePlus phones. I've owned Pixel, OnePlus and S Ultra phones, and the OnePlus 12 blows them out of the water in battery life. By like. 20-40% at the end of the day. Something seems broken.
Yes, this test is not representative of my experience on the OnePlus 12. It consistently gets 8+ hours of screen time with full res, 120 Hz, and 5G. I can easily get 10+ hours on WiFi only. It's much better than the S24 Ultra when I had the S24 Ultra before returning it for the OP12.
