OMD excellent choice for sad dance party album. I think a lot of 80s new wave works for that. “Coconut” is a great choice! 😂 With a personal anecdote, too. Well done, Dave. Thanks for playing along. Cheers! ✌🏻
The great thing about a vinyl tag is that they introduce use to channels. I watched, enjoyed and subbed. When all these presentations are done it will be interesting to see which artist got the most mentions. Right now it looks like Willie is a strong contender. I appreciate that you showed that Merle Haggard compilation, Songs I'll Always Sing. I've had a copy of that since the mid 70s when I had the 8 track and it got played constantly. That LP will convert anyone that says they don't like Country, just sit them down to listen. I enjoyed the diversity of your selections, take care - Elliott
Joy Division was the perfect choice for this tag, sad, yet we all love it so much it seems. I noticed that a lot of my favorite bands have a lot of sad, depressing songs, but I usually don't pay a lot of attention to the lyrics themselves. When I do, I see that I must subliminally love sad songs and depressing songwriters that write down and out songs. Lol, close your eyes and point to any random song on any album by The Smiths. Hurray for Merle, I guess we picked the same artist for that one. Very funny story about The Coconut Song. Great response!
I know what you mean, Dave: that RUclips algorithm is a little too smart at times. Harry Nilsson...thanks a lot! That's stuck in my head now. Great showings, and George Jones is right at home in this vinyl tag for sure. 😎🎶
Candle In The Wind is a great choice for over played song. Closer is a sad bastard record. I never noticed. He Stopped Loving Her Today was my choice for tears in your beer song. I actually recited the whole song. If We Make It Through December is a great choice.

Dave, good response to this vinyl tag, and an especially good response to the Shout Out prompt (#13). Thanks, Chris

@@elliottcrews4997 Thanks Elliott, we could use some more classic country around here😊

Thanks for watching. This tag made me realize the same thing. I don't consider myself a sad person, but I'm drawn to sad music, films and books.
Love you Joy Division and OMD choices. Great video.
Thanks for the comment Brian.

Thanks for watching. Sorry about Harry Nilsson, it will only take a few weeks for it to go away.
