- We've been gone for a while, but we are back, and to make it even more interesting we are back on some boats! My sister Madison and I have decided to do a sister trip to Catalina and we only have 36 hours to see and experience it all! I hope you are ready for an action packed two days because this trip was full speed ahead. Oh and I may have gotten in some 54 degree water...brrrr

Thanks for the video. It took me down memory lane as I took the ferry to Catalina Island back in the 90s with friends. It was a rough ride and I barfed my guts up the entire ride from the stern. That part was hard to get over but I still managed to enjoy the visit.
You are very welcome and yikes that’s exactly what I didn’t want to happen. I was watching the waves and wind like a hawk!! I’ve been sea sick plenty of times, I don’t need that anymore! Lol 😂
I grew up in Rancho Palos Verdes. I could see Catalina on a clear day from my back yard-
So blessed to have lived so close to this amazing place.
I took several trips there during my youth and was SCUBA certified in 1978 there.
I caught a legal lobster on my open water test. Great memories for sure!
Those sound like some incredible memories and catching a lobster on a scuba test, that’s hilarious!!

I bet your mom is just beaming with happiness as she watches down at her girls exploring and spending time together. When I lived in Long Beach, I use to take my boat over to Catalina. It was a fun short trip. Glad to see your back.

Wow it's a small world my cousin and his family lived in Laguna Niguel and we charted a 32ft sail
boat it was a Hunter very nice .
We sailed to Catalina island and went scuba diving in the kelp .
We spent 2nights 3 days there it was beautiful I loved it there .

Orange County! Newport Beach is my home town. I have been to Catalina many times. Why I am living in North Dakota I'll never know! Its MINUS 36 today with the wind! It's amazing how good the kelp grows in the cold Pacific water. Didn't know it was only in winter. Have you been to the Aquarium in Long Beach? Epic! I am so glad to see you back but are you sure TJ is still alive after that Sonoran debacle? ;-) Happy New Year and Happy Travels! Love to Camo!
Oh that’s so fun!! We loved spending time in the Laguna area, I loved it way more than I thought I would. Hahah you are too funny that sounds brutal!! And yes I was so fascinated about the kelp and it’s growing season and lol don’t worry he is still alive..😉

Oh hey, you’re back! I thought you drove into another bad neighborhood and got murdered or something (just kidding :D).
I’ve never been to Catalina Island, though it’s not far from home, and yeah, it is a very special place with lots to do and see, and it does resemble Italy a little bit in some places.
You look more stressed and anxious when you’re caravaning. I don’t know, just seems a lot more to worry about, whereas, when you were yachting, the biggest worry seems to be trip planning, which I thought you might have beat yourself up too much over and the stress might have been avoided if you’d just go at a slower pace.
Anyways, looking forward to more contents, I think they’re really great and I’ve always enjoyed them! Happy new year!
Oh goodness hoping to never do that again!! And hey there may be some truth in that, we will see what the future has in store! 🤷🏼♀️

Hey there Jerry! We will not be returning to the boat as it was sold after the Bahamas trip, my dad was ready for land life so for now the travels will be off of boats

It’s good to be back! And Camo is doing great as is my dad. He is enjoying life in Florida and Encore is no longer in the family. She was sold after we returned back from the Bahamas

People will never understand the stresses that come with the boating and RV life. Never mind trying to film everything and edit all the footage. ITS WORK, HARD WORK. Im glad you stepped away and hit the reset button. You need that to rejuvenate and re-evaluate every so often…….Sailing next…lol
It really is sooooo much work. I tell people that all of the small daily tasks become the big harder aspects of life when moving out of a conventional house. I hate to crush your sailing dreams for us, but that won't be coming back to the channel, but a lot of international traveling is happening now!

It's definitely a lot of gear but I was happy to have it on with how cold the water was! I wanted even more gear lol. The underwater views were so incredible though that it was well worth enduring the cold!

Probably took about 15 minutes but I wasn’t trying to do it quickly and it’s really cool to breathe underwater, it’s weird after first but after doing it a few times it gets more normal
