Many thanks for this video! Because I had moved and changed some settings on my rig, I struggled to get grid tracker operational again. But the information in your video saved the day! It is now working again! Thank you!
Very nice sequence of video's about LOG4OM, WSJT-X and Gridtracker. It was a big help to get this configured correctly. And just like you I'm enjoing the combination and hunting grids. Thx a lot 73
Thanks! I'll have to go back & watch your other video on WSJT-X & Log4OM. I've got WSJT-X and Grid Tracker running on a Pi 4 already. Gonna move to a laptop running linux and install some kind of a logging program next.
I'm using CQRLOG on raspberry pi4, I'm trying to find out if I can use Gridtracker together with CQRLOG and Wsjt-x. I can use Wsjt-x and gridtracker without any problems.
Fantastic information! Thanks a lot for sharing this. I run GridTracker and WSJT-X as well, but using another logger (by N3FPJ- ACL) and hope this might give me ideas on what to try on that one. Otherwise, I might have to switch to LOG40M because I love the operating flow you have.
I found this video really helpful as an introduction to gridtracker. So it acts pretty well as a neat and fully featured front end for WSJT-X. I am thinking of installing it to get the chat facility in Log4OM active. Does gridtracker use a lot of computer resources? Might it slow everything down? G3YUE
Two questions. On the beta version of Log4OM at least, they have a button for ADIF from GT/JTAlert, would you use that instead of creating your own for the ADIF GT LOG? Second question, if you do create your own, do you check all of the options (Use External Data, Upload_QSO, Update Gridsquare, and Update_CQ_ITUZONE)? If I click their button, it changes the port to 2234.
Hi Patrick, it’s nice to hear from you and thank you for commenting. I use GT to log to Log4OM, you’ll see how to do that in GT SETTINGS. It’s very simple and works terrific. I have also use a GT log too. Just in case something terrible happens. I use the ADIF function in Log4OM for my MMTTY log and JS8Call log and it works well too. I chose everything except Update Gridsquare. Thanks and GL. 73 and good DX! de Rich KØPIR
Thanks for commenting here. Great question. I don't think it'll work because N1MM and GT will be listening on the same port. I could be wrong though. I am unable to test it at the moment. Sorry. 73 and Good DX!
@@HamRadioAdventures Thanks! I have the same feeling that it will not work, no matter what port I use N1MM and WSJT and GT must have the same port and that will conflict. If you find a way please let me know, if I find a way I will let you know :) 73 and good DX to you too.
@@HamRadioAdventures Nick N2AMG, one of the developers of N1MM told me there will be multicast support for N1MM in the future. He just needs to find the time to implement it into N1MM. So far so good. 73
Hi Mike, nice to hear from you and good question. Port 2237 will be taken up by N1MM and GT needs that port, I am sure there is a workaround. I'll check it out. Best 73!
Thanks for your helpful video, I didn't even know Grid Tracker existed until today. I installed it to work alongside LOG4OM and it runs perfectly. Do I need to exit Grid Tracker to use WSPR? Thanks, Bob, M0BOB.
You shouldn't have to exit it. You're not logging any stations that you hear on WSPR, so they're treated like the stations you hear on FT8. Just reported to psk-reporter.
A question that someone on your channel may know, Last Nov I personally bought an Alinco mobile for Gov uses, Dec of 19 I received the freqs and was going to program them in. Obpond opening the box and powering up I noticed no Rec audio on ent, and ext spks only the mic had tx/rec audio. I called Alinco's repair in Ca and to date, I still can not reach them, I logged 11 calls - no returns, 19 emails no reply. Does anyone have a Corp or main number?
