I actually went to Phantasialand on their opening week of Winterfest. I’m American and stationed here with the military in Germany and this place has been on my bucket list since watching your videos in 2018

There is nothing quite like the roar of Taron on the launch!! It's freaking amazing! ❤❤❤ And Charlotte, I don't blame you for dreading Chapias, it's a soaker!! Feet, legs and bum flooded after our ride on this last month. The poncho was useless!
I had a poncho at Alton Towers for the flume and the poncho was useless then

Great Vlog! Amazing to think that currently this park has my best Rollercoaster (Taron), Water Ride (Chiapas) and Mine Train Ride (Colorado Adventure)! Extraordinary place that made me quite emotional visiting for the first time earlier in the year, and can't wait to return sometime in the future! :)

I went to Germany in April 1990 with my school, and we had a day at Phantasialand, but it was nothing like it is today, it looks amazing. The two things I can remember was a flat right called The Condor I believe, and a roller coaster that was similar to runaway train mine at Disney land. I would love to go back as it looks amazing. Great video as always.

This will be my first "alone trip" if i except the one i did to madrid last year ,i go in there the 2 and 3 of december 2023 for the wintertraum event ,i can't wait for that ! I already saw the video you made about how to go and stay there and that comfort what i previously planned, thx for sharing your experience about the park ,i can also expect that will be perhaps "quiet " than the summertime ,wich will be better for me as autistic man ,otherwise wonderfull picture of the night of phantasialand wintertraum ❤🙃 hug from france 🇲🇫

I dont think Taron will ever disappoint. Such a fab ride. I'm looking forward to the new Intamin at Parc Astérix for 2023. So I will plan a theme park tour next summer...

wow that was a nice jam packed vlog :) From that 'little sprinkle' water ride lol to the amazing obstacle course African trail :) Beautiful Christmas light (National Lampoons Christmas vacation lights) Would love to visit this park :).. although snow isn't so special when you have to shovel in the morning to go to work :P Thanks guys

Just to reassure you Shawn, I was at Wintertraum the first weekend on the 19th & 20th November both days and the queues for F.L.Y. and Taron got as high as 40-50 minutes at night.
It’s because you visited on a weekday it was that quiet! It was only this quiet last year when I visited Wintertraum last year due to Covid.
What a fantastic place and brilliant vlog, i literally could watch you fab pair all day. Have a great day 😊

Looks amazing the rides are fantastic and a wow factor when the lights came on so beautiful the tree yes modern and lovely but prefer traditional tree like yourself those dresses in the glass boxes so beautiful.

We were there this weekend and it was mega. Respectful people no idiots no drunken louts. Taron went into our top 5 coasters. We also loved the mine train and the VR bat ride. Will be back next year it’s awesome.

I was at Phantasialand on December 7 and unfortunately Chiapas was closed. Raik was not working either. I still enjoyed it like a kid, especially with Taron and FLY.

Black mamba is my favourite coaster, not been to phantasia land since 2009 so I might be biased but nothing beats the theming and area of black mamba imo

47:43 if you take a look on the weekend days, the park is absolutely packed - it's sold out in fact. The Wintertraum event was always very lightly crowded in the first few weeks of it. So nothing to worry about. On the weekend the main attractions all have at least an hour wait and all the shows are rammed as well.

All shows filled up 20 minutes before begin on my visit! They had to turn down at least 50 people every time, especially for A Golden Thread

That unexpected siider jump scare moment was really funny IT scared Me and I’m not actually in the park watching IT on my iPad, that’s definately has to be TPWW 2022 European highlight also dodging the water Pistols in the walk through themed area. Charlotte was really good documenting whilst you was on the TOP spin ride but couldnt remember the name sorry Shawn. This park has really got so much amazing heavy theming also the lighting packages throughout even the projectors were really impressive i know why people Emerse themselves in these places, great vlog Shawn very relaxing informative but a real shame there werent any on ride povs but safety is always paramount. Over all well done to you both

Are you guys coming back to Wintertraum this year? Especially considering the huge new fireworks show (Magic Symphony)? Wintertraum is now better than ever in my opinion.

Why is there still no POV of F.L.Y? It's been operating for quite a while now.
It's not allowed to film on any attraction at Phantasialand.
They want the experience to be exclusively for visiting guests and won't release one. And at the same time on ride filming is not permitted on F.L.Y. for guests.
@@TommyVorlostRiddle there are tons of POV of other rides here on RUclips like Taron. Did they become more strict about it? I'm sure even though it's prohibited, people will find ways.
Every time a POV is posted, it's quickly removed for copyright. A quick Google and you should be able to find the old POV.
Before boarding F.L.Y. you must go through a metal detector like at the airport. So no chance to bring anything on the ride. They send you back to the lockers to remove any loose items. They are so strict because F.L.Y. runs all through Rookburgh over all the guests. If they didn't check the riders they would have had to put nets under the tracks which would absolutely destroy the experience. And anyway, a video could never do justice to this coaster. You have to experience it yourself.

About the crowd level I was there on the Sunday before you and the park was packed. So I guess they are still doing well for themselves but not a fan of taking annual passes away.
Its a shame on how parks are preventing POV's on rides now, absolutely find it a bit of a joke. I mean as long as you wear a chest mount, arm mount, head mount cameras. I can't honestly see the issue, now with phones I can see the issues. Think in my opinion they should let all film on ride pov on Go Pro cameras via mounts, but not mobile phones. Especially if you are a RUclipsr who can promote their parks and new & latest and classic rides, shows and attractions. Good vlog, really enjoyed from start to finish, removing and scrapping Annual Passes, bad move 100%. Just lost a lot of their local customers, think that will be brought back in future? If not, don't honestly see any of those locals either paying entry every time they visit or want to visit. Bad mistake 100% for them, got a good selection of rollercoasters at this park, yeah its compacted as when I before searched it up on Google Maps, I was expecting it to be huge and a lot of space. But nope, its not and it is compacted, but the rides I think look amazing compacted, reminds me of a Planet Coaster creation and talking about this, did think would you create via Planet Coaster series all UK and Europe parks via Planet Coaster? Adding in current attractions aswell alongside your own creations? Because be epic as found indoor creation interesting and London Resort, aswell others. Are there any plans to in future create more Planet Coaster creations? Cheers for another video, really enjoyed and look forward to watching next video. 😀👍

@@ThemeParkWorldwide, Why can't they let people film on rides that are already on POV's, I mean it would be amazing if they did let people film POV's on new rides & coasters like Fly etc. But why not the rest? I know they want to remain secretive on the new attractions which I have to respect them for, for the experience. But with the other rides. Why can't they just let people film on rides, coasters and POV's on the other ones non secretive? With a action camera or go pro via chest, head, arm and shoulder mounts? Especially as those cameras were specifically designed for those specific reasons aswell other reasons. Always make me wonder & a bit annoyed aswell. But anyways, cheers for reply & look forward again for more videos in future. 😀👍 (Sorry for long paragraphs).
Hi. Have booked at trip in April, staying at Charles Linderbergh hotel. Very excited. With the attractions closing at 6pm. Is that the time the queue closes and if your in the queue you still get to ride or do the queues close before 6?
The queues close earlier than this at Phantasialand and times are on the boards throughout the park
@@ThemeParkWorldwide if your in a queue are you guaranteed to get a ride like at say alton towers or could you be in the queue and the ride closes and you don’t get to ride?
@@CoasterJames no if you are in the queue you are obviously guaranteed a ride. They simply close the entrances 15 mins early (or earlier for some rides depending how busy they are - but this will be advertised) and then run until the queue is empty
That’s changed so much from when I went with school would of been 1990- 1994 when I went the log flume was just a bare ride and they had a mono rail also think they had a small world ride too similar too Disney

Drenched at Oakwood has a 85° drop and Chiapas at Phantasialand has a 53° drop. Is Drenched a log flume?
Drenched is classed as a water coaster in my opinion

It's a matter of safety and insurance. Many parks don't permit any on ride filming.
