It's amazing to see what this park has become when you compare it to what it used to be: Meli Park. In the 80s/90s I visited Meli quite a few times because my grandmother lived closeby. It was all bee themed back then. They sold chocolate paste with honey which was absolutely tasty.
My dad loved the honey 😂
I remember going to Meli park in the 90’s ,went on a school trip,I remember buying a t shirt with a bee on it ! Had no idea it is now plopsaland ! Looks a great park , well worth a visit .
Charlotte should write a children's book.."Not all Goats are like Buster"
Love this!
This POV of Ride to Happiness is just as amazing as your first videos on it. It translates so surprisingly well through the video. With that soundtrack and the theme in that station, I could feel the ride experience (of course, without the actual physical forces), and the sense of a story and journey throughout the ride. Thanks for a new video of a ride and park that I very much doubt I'll ever get to visit.
We loved it!
Plopsaland looks like a really nice park, as does the accommodation, ride to happiness looks incredible, hope you guys are having a great trip so far!
It’s such a great park!
Just did a day trip on the Eurotunnel last weekend to visit the park for the first time and do Ride to Happiness for the first time. The ride was a little late to open but it was on two trains and we didn't wait more than 15 mins for it in all the 10 or so rides we did that day. I was worried it wouldn't live up to the hype but it absolutely does - it's brilliant, and nothing in the UK comes close. Anubis also surprised us with how smooth it was. The only negative thing we had all day was that the food was absolutely terrible - made the stuff at Alton's Burger Kitchen look gourmet!
oh no, that little boy on the tomorrowland ride was horrified at the end, looked like his soul has left his body 😂 maybe a little too intense for the little ones. you encouraged and motivated me to try this as a day trip!
There was a little boy in the queue for this ride when I went (last Saturday), and he already went on a bunch of roller coasters, but thought none of them were fast enough. He went on the Ride to happiness just before we did, and when he came off, I asked "and, was it fast enough?" and he just had an ear-to-ear grin and 2 thumbs up :), so yes, the ride to happiness is probably too intense for most young kids, but there are daredevil exceptions :).
@@frederikcreemers7751 that would have been me when i was little 😂👍🏼
It’s such a crazy ride!
Hi guys, I visited this park in the '80's when it was called Meli Park. I was staying with a French family as part of the old school French Exchange programme. The park looks totally different today. I will sure visit it in the near future.
It's Not that totally different, they keep some Rides from Meli Park. Like Dino Splash, K3 coaster and some more
We love it here!
Ride to happiness one of if not thee best coaster in world it's stunning
You folks are nice presenters, easy to understand and informative about what's out there, that's real quality fun. Your trip down under was magnificent, seeing you put Scenic world Katoomba on the map, a Family business. I really care for our smaller parks too, as you also said in the vlog, history is everything, like the Orphan Rocker coaster as an example. If your ever over here again and want to chat about Australian park history and a few beers an exchange knowledge would be most welcome. Wow! The ride to Happiness looked and sounded great, so they should run 20 trains haha. Anyhow, it's great to find your channel, and most of all, keep doing what you do, it's Fantastic! 👍👍
Thank you!
Imagine if Project Horizon turns out to be an indoor mack extreme spinner!...we can only hope!
I think if I opened a theme park. I would take all of Shawn’s and Charlottes favourite rides and put them in the my park, I’m sure it would be the best park in the world Hahahah! Also congrats guys !!!🎉🎉🎉
That would be epic!
Went here on Monday and there were absolutely no queues whatsoever and so I managed to get 50 rides in on RTH in one day! By far and away one of (if not) the best coasters in Europe, maybe even the world!
What month did you go to Plopsaland De Panne and ride Ride To Happiness 50 times
The ride to happiness is one of my bucket list coasters 🎢
Awesome video Guys
Charlotte is definitely becoming more accepting of water rides. You both got pretty wet on the super splash and she wasn't that bothered! Would've been a very different reaction a couple years ago 🤣
She is indeed! Thanks for watching!
This is one of my favourite parks I’ve seen! Ride to happiness is insane!
The k3 roller coaster used to be a wizzy et woppy ride. Wizzy et woppy was a show that ran from the 90’s-00’s
Just got back from plopsa 2 days ago. And my god RTH is incredible, rode it 10 times over 2 days, it’s relentless. Was on 1 train both days though sadly. Anubis is so good, so underrated, heidl is so fun too, overall I loved this park I recommend it to everyone and I stayed in hotel, but Rth. Enough said. It lives up the hype.
It’s such a brilliant park!
Great to see you both back on Ride To Happiness, certainly one of my 'Must do' coasters. Would be nice to see a video of yours and Charlotte's current top 20 coasters. Be interesting to see the differences,
We love it!
I used to go to Meli Park in the early 60's. There was a dancing fountain show, a huge snoring giant and a witch on a broomstick flying out of her upstairs window! I also seem to remember a wishing well that repeated everything you shouted into it ! We drove past Plopsaland 2 weeks ago. I'm 69 but would still love to visit but my husband thought I was mad!
Thanks for sharing!
Wow guys everything about this park looks beautiful and again seeing it through your videos and your excitement is fantastic.
I remember when you first went on Anubis with Joe and Martin back in the 2016 vlog and you were all like "Gerst! Eeeew" and you were all so surprised and shocked when you ended up loving it. One of the first TPW videos I ever watched.
I still miss all the regulars in the vlogs, especially Martin & Lea. I get why you don't include your friends anymore, but I still think it's a shame, because they really added something extra to the vlogs.
@My Thrill Ride Adventures They don't include any of their friends anymore, not specifically Martin & Lea, because two of the regular guest stars were accused of some unpleasent stuff and they did not want to risk that happening again in the future.
Gerstlauer have definitely come a long way!
I'm so happy to see you back on the Ride to Happiness. The first ever video I saw of you was your first ride on this. And I loved your enthusiasm so much I've been watching every single video you've put out since. And a lot of your older stuff too.
We love this ride!
I live in Belgium and every year I go 2-3 times to Plopsaland. I also go on field trips, and guess what I’m going again in 9 days😮😅❤
When I used to have a student job at plopsaland I always rode anubis after my shift, amazing memories with that coaster
It was nice to see you on Wednesday. The Ride to Happiness is amazing. I prefer the front car to the back.
Great to see you!
It was so great to meet you both here on Wednesday. It made my son's day and probably week! That and how great the ride to happiness is. He spent the few days we were at plopsaland just leaping about after riding that coaster multiple times. So it certainly does make you happy! We absolutely love watching your vlogs and they inspire us for many of our trips. Thanks for taking the time to chat. Enjoy the rest of your Europe trip.
Great to see you!
Thanks for the vid guys. As always, entertaining, informative and cosy. Love you both and so pleased of your success. x
Thank you!
We normally visit DLP as a family but after watching your vlogs of Plopsaland we decided to give it a go - wow, this place is amazing! It was super quiet so all rides were walk on which of course meant lots of rides on the Ride to Happiness. Thanks for the recommendation, Efteling next!
It’s a great park!
Looks a super themed park. I feel it could do with a "Sealife" centre, especially as it is close to the sea and overnight resort escape. Price of those chips was a bit scary but I'm guessing you can take your own food inside. Thanks for showing.
It was a great vlog :) during the train ride they always try to stop at Anubis the ride. The Boat Dark ride is about Kabouter Plop ( Plop the Gnome) and the ride takes you to the village from Plop and his friends. During your visit there was a show from Kabouter Plop with the real actor from the movies and tv series :)
Thanks for sharing!
Reading the comments l realise that this was Meli Park! I came here as part of a school holiday to France back in the 60's and it was amazing then, a truly magical place ....wow look at it now!!!! Would love to bring my grandchildren here, as long as l could take the ride to happiness!! At 64 yrs old l still ride roller coasters! Great vlog guys❤
Thanks for sharing!
I found it funny when Charlotte wasn’t ready for the drop on the ride at 28:31
I found it funny when Charlotte screamed at 28:43
When we did plop, we went only knowing of the ride to happiness, the surprise how good Anubis was will be a great holiday memory.
It's maybe called 'The ride to hapiness' but when I see the other people's reactions when they ride this coaster it must be a terrifying experience.
Really gotta go here some time soon
Nice that you enjoying my home park. Looking forward to the other vlogs.
I REALLY Want to go here, and do other parks in Belgium. Keep up the great vlogs you guys!!
Thank you for watching!
Be always wanted to ride ride to happiness but Im not going soon but I might go next year
good to get back to plopsaland!!
Plopsaland actually opened a new darkride last week! It's much better in quality than Plop, but even smaller in scale, as it is mostly aimed towards small children. They're sadly also considering removing Bos Van Plop and the farm area around it, though I am excited to see what will replace it. Hoping for a good big dark ride and a coaster that's between Heidi and Anubis in terms of thrill (I'm thinking, maybe something like Jumanji at Chessington? Haven't been there yet though)
Anyways, really enjoyed the video, going back there this coming Thursday. Greetings from Belgium!
Thank you!
Nice vlog guys. Also, they changed the curse at Alton manor preshow to say 1891 instead of 1892
I haven't been there since I was a kid. I still fondly remember the slow boat ride, it makes more sense if your familiar with the Belgium show ''Kabouter Plop''
Amazing park and pov's and rides and hotel cheers TPW crew
I have been watching u for 4 hole years keep up with the amazing video's!❤
Thank you so much!
Okay I need to go here and try the ride to happiness!! I may be terrified of upside down rides but I need to try this once in my life!!
Amazing video thank you. 👍🏼👍🏼😁😁😄😄😄😄😁😁😄
Love it!! Amazing pair! 🤩
Thank you!
Love your videos and love from Australia ❤❤
Thank you!
It really has to be the best coaster in the world... a spinning coaster that also has launches and inversions! and one of the best IP's!
It’s amazing!
Awesome park and awesome vlog Shawn and Charlotte. What a beautiful theme park in Belgium. Easy to get to, well located and well laid out. The Ride To Happiness is just amazing as coasters go.
Thank you for watching!
Looks an amazing park to visit guys, never been to Belgium so will definitely give it a go. I have done Terra Mitica in Benidorm which was awesome but only one Coaster to speak of.
It’s a great park to visit!
Ride to happiness looks amazing🤩
It’s insane!
Don't forget to grab some delicious belgium chocolate!
What a beautiful and exciting park, especially the Tea-Cups ride, and looks like so much potential for expansion as well.
Great video, nice to see you guys having fun :)
Thank you! It’s a great park!
Fab vlog Shawn and Charlotte. Loved following on the rides and around the park with you both. Your enthusiasm is very infectious ❤
Thank you!
I know it's not going to go upside down but I hope the new Wolf Man coaster going into the up coming Epic Universe spins and much and is a lot like that spinning coaster you guys road.
7:00 Plospsa express, lol after a vindaloo
Hi Shawn! Always wanted to go to plopsaland hope you had a great time
Plopsaland de Panne will not invest in a darkride like Symbolica ;-) It's way too expensive!
But I agree they need some more indoor rides for adults, because Bos van Plop and Bumba's Circus is for the little ones...
Plopsaqua is also very well themed: I went to Plopsaqua Landen-Hannuit with the kids and they were very happy! (Again the food there was very expensive!!)
Greetings from the Netherlands!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
11mins, look at that kids face don't think he will be going back on lol, great vid guys keep up the good work.
I went there in year 6 in 2017 it looks different
Beautiful Vlog! :)
Can't Wait For A Toverland 2023 Vlog From You ^w^
Charlotte has great taste, Heinz all the way!! I live in Pittsburgh and it’s only Heinz for me too!
Love it!
Loving the pov on this vlog
Absolutely loved this park even in spite of not getting the chance to ride Anubis when I visited!
It’s a great park!
Love the rider to happiness amazing ride.
I’d love to have a go on RTH, but my stomach isn’t what it used to be and I knew I’d spew my ring up if I went on it
Great Vlog again! Because of your channel my family and I are making our first international theme park trip to this park, and we cannot wait!
Have a great time!
We just came home from Orlando and I had the chance to ride TRON and Guardian of the Galaxy ..... both rides are brilliant!!!! I think you will like them as well .

Awesome video Guys
Will you go to dunrell again
We would love to!
Awesome,
Everyone says Ride to Happiness is the #1 coaster in the World. Your car didn't seem to spin as much as usual. Maybe it depends how many are in the car.
I hope you can share you time in the Waterpark too! This is one of my favorite parks to watch you visit!
😂 yay! Just heard that you are... jumped the gun with this comment.
Vlog from the waterpark on the way!
I think you should visit ocean pleasure beach in South Shields again. They have a new log flume ride which is bigger than the last one! Be a great one for Charlotte to try and conquer. I personally haven’t tried it myself but it looks a bit better than the other one that was there.
Nice park reminds of Gullivers and Disney land Paris
The flat ride in indoor section is the same as epic hummingbird flyers ride in EPIC area in genting skyworlds !
It’s a great area!
I was there today, Ride to happiness was also only running one train, they did try a run a second train in the afternoon but the coaster kept going down, so they took it off and just ran 1. I wonder if they have issues with the coaster as you said they were only running 1 train as well in the vlog.
What a fab review and day you had. We are so excited to be visiting at the end of May 😊
What a beautiful park, lovely theming ❤
