@@TheDrawingDeadVlog Did you get to talk to Veronica Brill about getting a convo with Nick Vertucci and Ryan Feldman? Maybe them showing HCL isn't the "boogeyman" that Stones Live turned into with "Postle-gate" would encourage you to play there. Or at least not the Garrett-Robbi fiasco.
@@vitalybroshchak4512 I think his concerns were avoiding another "Postle-gate" scenario (someone fed a key player hole card information that let him cheat other players out of bankroll money; the fallout led to security concerns about other live streams).
I was so distracted in the beginning of the video with the guy sitting on your right. I believe he was a little drunk watching him attempt to stack his chips and then putting them into his rack. Not to mention that drink sitting on the felt bugged the crap out of me. Lol. Look forward to seeing you again when I am in Vegas in August. Another great Vlog my friend
I feel like i know you after watching so many of your vlogs. It's a testament to your ability to make videos to which your viewers can easily relate. I appreciate that every video isn't rainbows, unicorns, and puppies. It seems like that game was fairly tight, which compounded with your lack of focus, made racking up your chips the best decision. Already looking forward to the next video!
#HOLY 💩 #BATMAN - 2 VLOGS in a week! The #killlergram is working overtime. Thank you kind sir cuz the efforts of THE MOST creative poker vlogger in the biz and the CURRENTLY REIGNING GPI CHAMPION of the WORLD is absolutely and greatly appreciated.
The music, breakdown, and honesty are top notch! Bring back that same group and I dare them to beat you again! This is a session where you have full self-awareness which is a separator! #letsgo!!
I’m sure that this was the day that I was playing at a nearby table and came over to say hi from the UK. Appreciated you taking the time to chat, and of course yet another great vlog. Keep up the good work.
It's really see you run into problems like everyone else. The fact you identified it, and walked.. instead of lighting it on fire... really nice to see..
Sometimes, Ethan, you got to make sure you can get your bearings before you bet like your life depended on it. The moment you start losing focus, your stack then follows in quicker order.
AhJc @1:14 Preflop is fine, 3 betting to 150-160 also fine. I think I'd rather err on the "passive" call side here with a "marginal hand" here readless. Flop is a heavy check for pre-flop raiser with range. Turn his sizing is good, your call is of course, standard. River, after he bet only 40% you can go between call/raise here. Needless to say, his sizing is not optimal with his hand. Solver would want to call with every Ax and then after that K9 has the highest EV for a call here (probably because blocking all straight draws that would fire turn/river here). Overall, nice hand.
4:47 - In this spot, I agree with your analysis that you have to find something to call, but I don't think that means you SHOUDLN"T bet for value after your hand reading and analysis is that you fair to have the best hand almost always. Here, I think you could rep bluffs too like AQ/AJ w club, QJ, maybe even a hand like his for 97. Obv he not calling a bet, but what if he had like AT w Ac? It seems like checking is obviously no more EV to be had, but I think sizing down and still betting would be good. Or are you trying to prevent being in a spot like getting check-raised here? IDK, seems like given the range, there are still plenty of hands there that you can find long-term +EV from to make a bet.
Had many sessions like that with the only difference being that I usually punt the rest of my stack with a marginal hand to cap it off. Just do not feel right leaving with chips after playing like that.
@15:51 AJs in BB facing btn 3x and sb 14x 150bb deep is ~ -0.01bb with "solver ranges" but it's probably fine to just pure 4-bet here unless sb is uber-nit. If you want to be tight about the BB 4-bet here, KTs+, AQs+, AKo, JJ+ pure and then you mix in some A5s, K7s, TT, AQo, AJs/ATs here. Just calling the 3-bet is just... i dont know what to say. Clearly you're not expecting button to ever 4-bet without KK+ i guess. I really do not know what you could flat here with besides KK/AA (maybe QQ/JJ) and maybe balance that call range with ATs/AJs/AQs/KQs? SPR roughly 5 on flop, so usually top pair is just a bit light to stack off here ? River is close I guess. You do block JhTh and AhTh (and AhTx). You do block KhJh. It would baffle me if villain has AK/AA/KQ on turn (as well as it being small amount of combinations). It's probably really close depending on how thin SB would value bet.. If it's Qx or nothing, then probably closer to a call. Once you start adding Kx (or if he turns a hand like 99 into a bluff-value-bet) then closer to a fold. You do beat AT for what it's worth on the river..
Oh i remember your channel... that's years ago now. You listened to my advice as you analyze more your hands and situation and that's way better! My 2 cents ;)
Jarman buddy, please video the run out I was interested in your A10S when you tossed it, I would have seen the flop for a $100 . Appreciate it if you do some of those hands. Cheers Rob
100%. There are(or should) always be reasons for every penny wagered. Most people don't really know why they bet the sizes they do besides "everyone else does it". Sad but true
Maybe im disappointed b/c I have screwed it up big time, similar situation. 2/5 game, 2 simpers, one r to $15, CO calls. I (QQ) on SB raised to $100. Only double flatter (CO) called. Flop AKdJ I checked, he bets $100, I fold. He flips over 76h!! I am still ashamed of myself for this play. Shame on me!!
Geez, some of this went like the 1/3 I was playing at the Venetian during the series. Especially that 3-bet-with-pocket-4s hand, which is what made me type this. So often it was like HOW TF DID YOU RAISE (or call a raise) WITH THAT TRASH THAT MIRACULOUSLY HIT? I played for like 7 hours trying to make up the $1k I had punted at the Seniors' event the day before, and ended up only about $150 after sitting there card dead half the time. I was still pissed off the next day, but that was partly because the only place on the way back to my hotel that was open was the Peppermill, and I made the mistake of trying to finish a plate of chicken parm. Slept like crap that night and wasn't even hungry the next day until like 7pm.
Yeah, the games go in waves. Sometimes when the game just isn't that good coupled with the fact that I have a billion other things to get done...I just bounce. The best sessions are always when i'm well rested and not piled on with external tasks

Well played sir. I always change tables when my vibes off.
JJ hand @14:03 is really close on river. Strangly 88-KK has near same EV on river facing call/river. Tx has higher EV calling than with 88-KK.

shouldn't the last hand be a raise to 40 with the straddle out?
