A Patriot Of Hope DanJohn oooooo! it’s like a Christmas is coming early haha. excited for you and let us know how you like it once you get some miles on it!
I bought this exact E-Bike, Aventon Sinch and it is amazing. That said, it's my first ever E-Bike, and my first folding bike. It's very robust and sturdy, the warranty of 1yr is great. I am 53, the fatty tires aren't just for young people - hahaha... Battery access and charging is pretty simple. The battery life is great and provides hours of comfortable riding. I paid $1499 for this unit, great purchase ! I don't ride that often due to spinal stenosis. I have only one request from Aventon and that's to create a Sinch but in a trike version with back support connected to the seat. When you do, if you do I'd love to test pilot the product (trike) for you and make the purchase provided it's a good fit for me.
hey TACTICAL ARMS! glad to hear you're digging your ebike and it sounds like you're already looking for another. be warned... the more you ride the more you want to add to your collection. :) we've reviewed a few trikes but none from Aventon (i don't think they make any yet as you mentioned). we have reviewed this one recently that you might be interested in though. ruclips.net/video/xG_TDsStW_8/видео.html
I’ve watched so many of these videos because I wanted one and in fact ordered it this morning one just like this one. Anyway I’ve seen so many changes throughout the videos. The biggest one was not being able to takeoff with the throttle from a dead stop. Then in another video I saw that this had been resolved and now you can using the throttle. I was so thrilled to read that. As this was a big scary thought in my mind. Thank you so much for this great video I love the looks of it.
Picked up my Cloud Grey Step Over yesterday. Rode it home and loved it. I’m used to a twist grip throttle, so the thumb throttle is such a new experience but I hear is safer. Of course the speed increase can be unlocked. I found it on RUclips easily. Nice seat. Very comfortable. Happy and looking forward to riding this morning early:)
heya Zep 4! that's awesome! super excited for you. Keep us posted on your thoughts about this one! we'll also have an updated review on this bike out later today or tomorrow. you may dig that one too. :)
Great review Brent, I own a Sinch have 683 miles on it, it has performed flawlessly and been ready to ride since my unboxing!!! All I've done is lubricate the bearings and chain, maintain tire pressure and just have fun riding it. My only complaint is they still don't have the throttle retrofit kits available for throttle on demand!!! Their customer service is excellent and the workmanship is exceptional. Highly recommend the Aventon brand, no matter what you get and now they have the Aventure, lots of extras, that others would sell separately, but not Aventon, they are great from the get go!!!
@@brassbelt the new ones that are sold are throttle on demand which means the throttle is active from a dead stop. Mine is the old version, throttle after pedal is the best way to describe it. You are correct, no throttle on demand is you have to push to start!!!
thanks for the review, nice job. I've had the sinch for 3 years now, its great . I'm not good at adjusting the brakes, it's the first bike i got with disc brakes, a basic tune up should do the trick. I'm thinking about getting the soletra 2
It looks like a great bike but the left side thumb throttle was kind of the deal breaker for me. Wrong side...wrong kind. If it were a grip throttle on the right side, this would be a perfect bike.
I think u left out tht when using throttle, it doesn't work until you 1st start pedaling unless they changed that. Also, the tires i don't believe offer any puncture resistance.?
@@TheHackettMan For the 2021 model they have changed both. There is puncture resistance and there is throttle on demand from a dead stop. I order the black one and it has shipped! Said ships in 2-3 days on the site when I ordered it but mine shipped in one day. Can't wait to get it.
Why does it seem like the handlebars fold the opposite way than the Sinch I have. I noticed when you fold your handlebars, they fold into the 'taco' - my Sinch folds away 🧐
I'm searching for a 26" wheel folding ebike that goes 28-30 in top speed and that i can fit on the metro bus because them 20" 4.0 fat tires will not it won't fit . And i want something that gives me the most range on a full charged battery ?
The Sinch is a Class II ebike. This designation carries a pedal assist limit of 20 MPH (32 KPH). You can pedal faster without assist, but the motor will stop providing assist when the speed limit is reached. You can use the Speed Limit function to change the speed limit based on your preferences and the law in your area. The Speed Limit function can be set from 20-51 KPH (for reference, that is 12.4 - 31.7 MPH) and is always set in KPH. You should only set the Speed Limit to a value that is safe and legal in your community. This function does not affect the max speed on throttle, which is locked at 20 MPH (32 KPH). ----I found the owners manual online and this is what it says as far as unlocking the top speed. Hope this helps as i was eyeing this Bike as well!!
I like the chunky frame and hidden battery. These style bikes to me are the SUV or cross over of the bike world, they look like they can off road but they aren't really meant for it. In the UK we have another term for that type of car, Soft Roader, you can do a gravel track, or a dirt road on a dryer day, but otherwise you'll struggle, they are more about the looks, with this fat tyre bike style it's definitely more the aesthetic, it looks cool, you ride it every day in any weather, can have fun at the weekend and use it to get round town. As others have mentioned top speed is a little low if you're wanting to ride in traffic, but cycle lanes could help with that
James! what’s up, buddy. really appreciate the info. good stuff there. and dig the term “soft road.” i’ll definitely be borrowing that term and i’ll be sure to drop a shoutout in the next video. appreciate it!!

Aidan! what's up, buddy! good to see you again and i completely feel what you're saying. i'm going to check in with Aventon and see if there might be a way to unlock a higher top speed. i know the motor can handle it (unless it is custom wound for higher torque/lower top speed -- which i don't think it is). really glad to hear you're digging the reviews, brother and i sincerely appreciate the kind words. means a lot. have an awesome day and happy trails!
