It's good to see that Ford is finally giving the US market the Ranger Raptor. Since it's been for sell in other markets for a while now, they shouldn't have the first gen problems like they did with the initial run of the Broncos.

I’m surprised you guys haven’t reached out to Alex and Dakota from the old FI videos. They left and they’re doing their own thing, would be cool to see them as a guest on Donut
I was a design engineer at Honda/Acura during the development of the Integra, the reason it wasn't made a coupe was because they didn't intend to sell a coupe version of the Honda civic, the previous generation's (2021-earlier) coupe never sold that well, and they didn't want to spend the extra development money to develop one.
It would be nice if at the end, they had to even the "stoked" list to 50/50 on each side, to see which of the ones they were kind of stoked about, they'd be willing to downgrade to keep others on the list.

Im stoked for what vinfast has to offer in the US market. I saw one at the LA auto show last year and it looks extremely good in person (Referring to the VF-7). I hope they are able to do pretty well, because they have so much potential in today's market
Just go watch some videos on the company. There are exactly two types of videos. Obviously paid for promo videos where youtubers and influencers were flown out to Vinfast's resort island and instructed to make long rambling videos entirely praising the company (allegedly with 10k USD cash on top of the fully comped trip), and very little content on the cars themselves. And then there are customer videos and hands on videos from the recent CES, where the cars have been shown to be buggy, mediocre build quality, and horrific efficiency (170 miles of EPA range out of a nearly 90 kWh battery? what?). For instance, check out the excellent long form article written by Kevin Williams for Jalopnik, detailing the real low down from his visit to Vinfast. Or Tom Peng's youtube videos showing how many times his brand new VF8 has broken down. Most recently he parked it for 4 days, and the car's battery somehow drained from 80% down to just 1%. Or check out Out of Spec channel's hands on look on the VF8 at Las Vegas CES, where the host Kyle straight up gave it a 3 out of 10 right to the face of the Vinfast rep. That's before you consider the fact that Vinfast is trying to sell it starting at 55k USD, which not only makes it more expensive than established EV crossovers like the Ford Mach E, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and VW ID.4, but it is even more expensive than the Tesla Model Y! I've no idea who is gonna be willing to shell out that much money for an unproven and poorly made EV.
@@tren133 i will say the car did have bugs (rear door electronic release wouldnt work) among other complaints like a laggy infotainment system, but im chalking that up to it being in early development rather than it being a released car. If theyre actively trying to sell it though thats a different thing, i would 100% be against it
@@OttuR_ Tom Peng is an actual customer in Vietnam with a delivered production VF8 that he's driven for several months and over 1000 km. The poor efficiency aside, he reports that the navigation function is so laggy it is unusable and he uses his phone to navigate. There is car fully draining itself over just 4 days. At least twice the car bricked itself, requiring the 12V to be disconnected and reconnected to "reboot". And none of the driver assistance functions (such as adaptive cruise control, auto collision avoidance etc) were working. That's a lot of half baked or just outright missing features for a car that is already in customer hands. He might have to put up with it because no other EVs are readily available in Vietnam, but there are plenty of superior alternatives in the US market, and US consumers will not put up with this level of quality.

An up to speed of any sort would be greatly appreciated
Nolan’s shirt is incredible. Bring back CornCob TV!!!
It's just body after body busting out of shit wood and hittin' pavement
Am I the only one who wants an up to speed on ken block? Please James!
Last I checked, he was killed in a snowmobile accident. If you go on the Hoonigans they did a tribute video for him.
@@MR_ii_5150 I think that might be the reason why they're asking for an up to speed vid...
I think they haven't done it yet because it's a little too soon to release such a planned out video dedicated to someone's life, only a month after their life ended. People are still mourning the recent death and I can't imagine it'd be taken well to see that video pop up
Go to hoonigan RUclips site they posted a video about what they’re planning on doing with hoonigan now since Ken Block past
Probably yeah
I think the red/black Crown looks awesome.
14:23 I can’t believe I’m about to say this but…. “It looks like a Ferrari.” Nope, looks like a 2023 Toyota Prius 🤦🏾♂️ 😂
I agree
It's good to see that Ford is finally giving the US market the Ranger Raptor. Since it's been for sell in other markets for a while now, they shouldn't have the first gen problems like they did with the initial run of the Broncos.
It's an overpriced 150 with a recycled name. The ranger used to be a practical small truck but none of the manufacturers make practical trucks anymore. Ford and GM can both kick rocks with their "ranger" and"Colorado" pieces of overpriced garbage.
@@lovingtennessee7726your not lying, the day of the affordable everyday reliable truck has been dead for a while. I will keep the old 4.9 300 short bed going, it will outlive any of these anyway. For $6,000 it will make more HP as well.
The amount of effort and the shortness of videos always amazes me of how these guys keep pumping them out
Ford's Ranger Raptor was already available in Germany, and when I lived there, they were the biggest cars on the road. They're perfect for fun truck stuff, and I'm glad that it got a performance package.
They're quite common in Malaysia (& Australia?) too
At 9:29 James forgot how to say his usual “LIGHTNING LIGHTNING! LIGHTNING!!”
Reserved for FORD and FORD ONLY!
Donut getting weird in 2023
Modern weird people are now in charge and deciding how cars should be. Fun! 🤔
Hope Justin feels better! Just talked with your dad today, and he called you on the phone! Surprised to see what a small world we live in
Imagine walking out to your VinFast and saying Good Morning to it,
Sheeeeeet, that’s free comedy every Morning
as long as you remember 2 million died for it, its fine
@@rcajavus8141 I'm Vietnamese and what do you mean by "2 millions died for it" ?
@@khoapham4670 I think he is referring to the fact that American intervention in SE Asia over more than a decade to prevent the Ho Chi Minh led north from uniting Vietnam ended up getting maybe 2 million Vietnamese people killed, and the North Vietnamese still won the war anyway. And somehow he thinks that's Vietnam's fault?
Or you could just call it Charlie.
@@rcajavus8141 If you're talking about the Vietnam war, I don't see how that's related to this car
The prius is so cool 🤩🤩🤩 i want one!
4:14 That's just the state of modernity. Grab a name from the past and ride its coattails to success while pooping om what it originally stood for

Same thing with Stelvio.
Your editor(s) do a great job of keeping the audience engaged.
The 2023 prius is waaaaaay better looking outside, but I wonder if there are also big changes on the inside. The POOR visibility inside was a negative for me on past models, even with camera's...i like to be able to see well outside from the inside 360 deg.
Considering you could get the Accord with a peppy V6, a 6 speed manual and as a coupe, it's annoying to think that the Integra is a sedan now, but that's the market shift. More people want 4 doors.
To be fair, in the 90’s there was a 5 door option for the Integra, though the coupe is the one most people remember fondly.
I think the 6 speed coupe accord was axed a couple years back
Actually I just googled it and there is no manual whatsoever on the accord anymore 😢
They killed the manual in the current Gen Accord. I also recall the integra did come with 4 doors back when. It's a not a new thing.
@@2010ngojo but it wasn't to be exclusive as a gutless, automatic only luxury sedan. Performance wise, it's very underwhelming nowadays.
Matt's offroad recovery might be James's dad🤔
Nolan has me dying evey episode.
They should drop a supercharged v8 version on the hornet
I’m surprised you guys haven’t reached out to Alex and Dakota from the old FI videos. They left and they’re doing their own thing, would be cool to see them as a guest on Donut
That would be kinda cool
FI?
Thank you for your epic content and genuine personalities.
Two vehicles I wish they'd make new versions of. The Chevy El Camino and the Isuzu Trooper (body on frame, not like Chevy did with the new Blazer).
Yes!!! El Camino!!!
Well it is 2023 everything is weird af now

I can sadly agree 😒
Good year,

@@julianreyna3991 That would be good for a mechanic, I guess...?
It would be nice if at the end, they had to even the "stoked" list to 50/50 on each side, to see which of the ones they were kind of stoked about, they'd be willing to downgrade to keep others on the list.
@12:07! Come on guys! There’s more letters in the word Hyundai than you Pronounce?

the chevy looks a lot like the avalanche which i've driven, but was incredibly unremarkable.

Someone gotta remind car guys of what 2023 is to us, so here's a list of cars that are either soon being discontinued if not already were
Acura NSX
Audi R8
Chevrolet Camaro
Chrysler 300
Dodge Challenger
Dodge Charger
Ford GT
Hyundai Veloster N
Infiniti Q60
Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk
Kia Stinger GT
Lamborghini Aventador
Subaru WRX STI
Personal thanks to Ford, Nissan and Toyota for keeping the Mustang, GT-R, Z and Supra alive. Not all cars on this list reflect my personal favorites but damn it felt like reading names after a school shooting.
Damn, they finally killed the 300? That's ROUGH. it's been 20 years with that thing.

If we can bring down prices maybe 10k in the next few years, I'm pretty excited about the new cars coming out this year! 949 mark 2 looks awesome but is also probably impossible to ever afford
Let's..... talk👆👆
Bring prices down?! LoL
Nothing's coming down bud
That's not going to happen because of inflation. What we do need are wages that keep up with inflation.
Yeah,......... right
Like that's gonna happen
What's really sad is they brought back the hornet name from American motors corporation. It was an econobox car but also the last muscle car to join the party in 1970. But like the dart, they completely missed the mark... definitely a missed opportunity
Ok, boomer!
@FiatCat boomer is 30s now? Calm down zoomer.

No he isnt, bozo. What you see from them is their camera persona
I'm stoked on vinfast because they're building a huge factory in my hometown. This will be a huge deal.
Remember when Donut made up to speed videos...... I do😢

There’s something about jingly keys that just hits different. Would never be the same whipping out your keys to unlock your door after a night out without the jingle
Sometimes I wish these guys had more controversial views on cars.
Then they wouldn't be relatable... The last thing we want to do is watch bad takes.
Awesome video! I think it would really cool to go more in depth on some of the cars you really like in future videos. Love hearing you guys talk about new cars
@@tren133 Wow. Yeah thats really disappointing to hear. Hearing about them at first it seemed like they had potential in the current car climate, but that is just inexcusable
