A musician is different because it is them actually communicating words directly to the audience. Therefore it is much harder to distance an artist from their music than a painter from a picture

I don't think he should retire; instead, I believe he needs to take a break to find himself. To be honest, this is just Kanye lost. Then maybe he can come back with a solo album that might be really good again.

This is a great series. We have Great records, and moderately if not great stylish clothing that we can wear and resell on the market. both my favorite rappers shady n weezy started declining after 09 but ever since weezy redeemed himself towards the end of 2013 wit d5, he's gotten better wit projects like fwa, sft2, c5, d6, nc3 & funeral. and shady was mostly trash through the 2010s but ever since 2018 wit kk, he's also gotten better wit mtbmb & tdoss.
so we don't need them to retire...unlike ye, i would only want a rapper to retire if he's fallen off. that's why ye isn't dope anymore while shady n weezy still are, see that's the difference 👍.

This is a great series. We have Great records, and moderately if not great stylish clothing that we can wear and resell on the market. Im enthusiastic about kanye’s vulture series. and 2 is definitely better than 1. Everything in hip hop is cookie cutter and formulaic. Im not excited for rap like i used to be. And as not as good as it was as it is, it is a different formula and experience in what happens when someone abandons the formula for ones creative freedom. Im also excited for the yeezy season 2 rollout. Yall be over it if you want lol.

I actually agree with you on that hot take. Bad/horrendous people can make good art, because the art is going to be separate from its creator, the creator and it's art are not one or the same. But Kanye is not making good art anymore, Vultures 1 and 2 were incredibly mediocre and are clearly reflecting off Kanye's deteriorating mental state.

He used to be the pinacle of artistic taste in music. That quote from Rick Rubin stands out where he told Ye “if it sounds like it could be on someone elses album,it cant be on your record”. And then Ye said turn the snare down. Nah dawg. His last few albums sound like almost any other rappers album sonically, and his bars have got worse and worse post Pablo. Listening to a Kanye album is like watching Derrick Rose play basketball in 2024.

I would really love if Kanye just gave up rapping. And just be the great composer of music he has always claimed to be. DJ Khaled is in a lane where Kanye can really thrive (NOT SAYING KHALED MADE THAT LANE). But Kanye still makes great music/beats. He just sounds terrible when rapping. I'm sure he will always have the most extravagant ideas for music but use other people's talents and step aside. He's been doing that pretty much all his career but he shouldn't be rapping at all.

after tlop, that's when he started to approach the wash. i thought he might've came back wit donda 1 as he did bounce back wit that album since it's one of his best. But after donda 1, he fell off completely, donda 2 was trash & vultures 1 & 2 are horrible.
unfortunetily ye's in that period where he no longer feels pressure to keep releasing great music so he's just releasing music for the hell of it. but ye's never been good like that, he needs to feel the pressure of uping his last project like he used to cuz he's always been better when he took his time wit his albums. i mean yea the wait suxed ppl but we got masterpieces like yeezus, mbdtf, tlop, tcd, donda 1 when he felt the pressure to top himself and took his time. but now he's just slacking off wit his music and releasing whatever.
