I was thinking of getting a full size one like yours, but eventually I decided to with a finger drumming style one.

You could do worse. I’ve hardly used mine with sticks. Living in a flat can make drumming (even on an e-kit) prohibitive. I only wish I didn’t have to keep switching to fingertip mode whenever I power mine on.
