@@凌語辰 I doubt electrification is a concern for brightline east right now, as they’re focusing more on expanding the service to Orlando. While it would be better to have electrically powered trains, brightline does not own the tracks, instead the FEC does (Florida East Coast). They could install catenary at a higher height to accommodate double stack but I wouldn’t believe they’ll do that anytime soon. And aside from the new higher-speed line brightline is building from WPB to Orlando, they can only go up to 79 mph between WPB and the MIA stations because of grade crossings and the fact that the route goes through populated areas. The only way they’d really be able to get up to speed on the current section is if they grade separated the entire line between miami and west palm beach, but that would be quite expensive if they were to elevate the tracks and reconfigure the WPB and Fort Lauderdale stations. That’s money they don’t have right now
Adding to what I said, the only tracks that brightline itself owns is the route between Cocoa, where the line will split away from the FEC all the way to Orlando airport. That stretch is about 28 miles, which will be rated for top speeds of 125 mph, which is the fastest most diesel-electric trains could possibly go. They could probably electrify those tracks first and increase top speeds, but it would only make sense if they electrified their entire route, plus they’d probably have to make an agreement with the fec for something like that.
I was a crane operator on one of the tower cranes on that project. I’m not 100% sure but I’m reasonably certain that I installed at least two of those escalators you rode on. I also poured a bunch of the concrete there and installed the prefab you see on the pretty exterior. It was a huge pain in the ass but it came out great in the end. Cool video.
When you showed the inside of Miami Brighline where you can buy food and snacks (store) 1:53. You swipe or scan your credit to enter and then whatever you choose is taken from your credit card when you leave that area. I was just there 2 days ago and I agree the Miami station is really nice.
The West Palm Beach stop is right off Clematis St which is nice for nightlife, dining, etc. It's also just around the way from Rosemary Square which is an even nicer spot with the comedy club, movie theater, etc.
Nice, I always love looking for myself in videos on brightline hehe. Hope to see you on the train again, its nice to have people review and share the experience.
I live in Orlando. Our service here will begin around Q2 of this year, drove down to west palm for a wedding left my car at the station for 4 days at $7 a day then took brightline to Miami to fly to St.Maarten and back. YO O_o I CANNOT WAIT for ORLANDO TO OPEN UP! I'm shook!
The lounge is only for Premium tickets. I did find it open when I went so I decided to check it out anyway. Normally you need to scan your premium pass to enter.

Question: I know there are plans to extend Brightline to both Walt Disney World and Tampa-the only question is which route to connect the Orlando airport through Disney World and the line to Tampa-but why isn’t/wasn’t Brightline extended to Homestead to the south? And are there any future ideas to extend from either Tampa up to the panhandle (or at least if it restarts, the Amtrak line that ran across the panhandle to Jacksonville), and/or Cocoa north to Jacksonville?
We had our first try last weekend and it was very smooth, though had an emergency on our way back from Mia-WP. But, other than that everything was excellent. We loved the lady at the check-in counter also, she helped us changed our ticket as we missed our scheduled time.
In the Netherlands you just take the next InterCity train. They depart every 10 minutes, but here you have to wait one hour? And what about the X-ray scanners? It's only a train, not an airplane.
It looks like they're trying as hard as they can to make it as inconvenient as air travel. In the UK you can walk through the front door of the station 30 seconds before the train leaves and still make it.
I believe you are able to arrive basically when the train leaves? Probably got there early to check the place out I'm not sure. I haven't personally ridden but that's what I've gathered from other stuff I've seen.
America is still living in the wake of 9/11. People just don’t feel as safe as they used to. Hopefully we as a nation will move past that and become overall better mannered.
Hey! I just posted a video on Tri-Rail. It starts off by showing the $60 million renovation done to Golden Glades station. The second half is my experience aboard the train. ruclips.net/video/G-Nq0Wqlrns/видео.html
Howard driving is cheaper but not everyone likes to drive. It is cheaper than Uber. You do not have the stress of driving, can have free beer or sodas or snacks, bathroom available. Less risk of accident. You can walk instead of being seated like in a car. No need To park your car when you arrive. It is very convenient for some people who like comfort
Very nice and clean trains and top class stations. Train system in San Francisco looks like a crack house not to mention you are more likely to get robbed at the stations in San Francisco.
New to your channel. We love your vlogging style and this one helped us to decide to use the Brightline on our next voyage south. Check us out when you can and keep in touch!!
It is for me. I do not like to drive. If I take an Uber from Miami to aventura the cost will be around $45 one way. Train Premium class with free beer and snacks $ 37. No driving stress, less risk of car accidents, having a good time drinking the beer, bathroom available. I cannot wait to try it to West Palm Beach.
I wonder how much to date tax payers paid $$ towards this brightline business. Folks business in Florida lobby hard for tax savings and tax $$ usage.. Ask yourself what Div $$ are we getting back yearly from it. FYI no I am not saying its a bad business nor should we have the service here in FL. We could had this AL up and round over 20 plus years ago. But the Florida past and many president lawmakers choice to screw us.
Thanks for riding with us, Joel! We hope to have you onboard with us again soon. #LiveLifeOnTheBrightSide
why don't you guys electrified the lines. Is because the money?
@@凌語辰 They are electrifying them for the western route but this one is eco friendly fuel
In my hometown “Taiwan”, our railway is 100% electrified, and we also have a high-speed railway in western Taiwan with a speed of 186 miles per hour.

Well thank you! Everything looks great
Dude, you're an absolute artist! Thank you for the amazing work!
Thanks tor your hard work! Its amazing to see that the US is getting some great trains!

Love Brightline, so glad its finally open again.
Bro its so nice. Any idea when they will complete the rails to orlando? And how fast will the travel be to orlando?
They expect track to be completed in 2022. The ride from Miami to Orlando will be 3 hours, hitting a top speed of 125 mph.
@@JoelFrancoVlogs I thought they said the tracks would be completed this year 2021 weird.🤔
@@dlivex9492 the entire right of way might be completed in mid 2022 and tracks may be laid during that time so that they can test the trains.

Very informative. Reviews are SO important. Thanks and well done!
Thanks for the vid, I have been curious about what it was like
Did you do the ft Lauderdale station yet
They are adding a stop in Hollywood and in Port St Lucie.
Official word is that they are adding stops in Aventura and Boca Raton. Aventura construction started recently.
Nice work man. Great info I didn’t even know this existed ✊🏻
Thank you!
hi I'm Daniel live orlando soon will be open over here can i ask a question can i buy the ticket at the train station without use the mobile phone ?
Thanks so much I appreciate you showing us.
Miami to Orlando is remote in the future. Especially that it keeps hitting cars.
the brightline stations and trains are so sleek and modern-looking, like they were ripped straight out of Star Citizen

Will they do spots for Jacksonville, Tampa and etc?
It will go to Orlando next year and Tampa within the decade
How long is the stop at Fort Lauderdale?
Short, like 5 mins
@@JoelFrancoVlogs Oh, wow that is not bad
Gracias Joel .
Nice video dude.
Another question, west palm beach is about 1 hour and 20 minutes or so away on car, how fast did you make it to west palm beach on the train?
It’s 30 min between each station (MIA-FTL-WPB) so ~1 hour. It felt a little less. I should’ve timed it!
I went during rush hour so I-95 was completely red going north. I’m sure by car it would’ve been like 2 hours.
The calling time is 1 hour 12 minutes via Brightline (4:48 arrives at 6:00). The train travels at a max 79 MPH.
did u really have to go through a security checkpoint..... to ride... a train....
The masses need theatre to feel safe. That’s why they wear masks.
Why do you need to go through security like the airport? Weird
Can you do TRI rail trains

Airport TSA style security theatre? I’ll stick with driving.
Have they any website to buy tickets?
gobrightline.com
I do not see the appeal to the cost, travel delays, lack of privacy and loss of mobility at the destination in between trips.
why didn't you mention the price for premium and regular
I should’ve but also gave info for a free round trip. You can see prices when you go to book.
It will cost you $100 each to Orlando. Yike. Cheaper to load up a car with 5 and you can save big time.
With that traffic on 95 in rush hour. Id take Amtrak again
Not just that but you also have the other prices of paying the theme parks...the fares add up.
