No they didn't. You are confusing them with wild boars. Peccaries have a different number of chromosomes cannot breed with true pigs. They are a American (North and South) species. I would recommend a video to you that points this out, but you just commented on it. I guess it didn't make much of an impact.
@Zooker, actually, all laurasiatheres are more correctly thought to have originated in North America, whereas the euarchontoglirians originated from Eurasia, hence, here are the origins of the four main placental mammal groups, Xenarthra originated from South America, Afrotheria originated from Africa, Laurasiatheria originated from North America, and Euarchontoglires originated from Eurasia.

There are peccary fossils found in Spain! They existed in the old world until the evolution of pigs outcompeted them out!
