Hear "eucalyptus oil" is just like hearing "Scratches at a level 6 with deeper grooves at a level7". You're doing very well :3.
oh yeah! somebody that watches JerryRigEverything
@@paperbutterflystudios6361 Of course 😂
@@ghostattca1658 oh yeah....... >o
I watch Jerryrigeverything sometimes. xD
Some parts of his videos are Soo satisfying to me!! xD
jerryrigeverything time
Before watching the video: "Dear god please tell me there's gonna be eucalyptus oil"
lol
Your wish is granted
Don't forget about those methylated spirits.
But no lens cleaner tho :(
Sorry, but Methylated Spirits are the new Eucalyptus Oil in this video. :(
Watching a Psivewri video on a 2007 17" MacBook Pro feels like the only proper way to watch a Psivewri video.
Pendleton 115 I have a late 2009 macbook we both have the most dangerous technical equipment ever
I have a 15" 2007 A1226 MacBook, it's very slow nowadays.
chez cake dangerous?
@@Pendleton115 yes our technology is so dangerous that these manufacturers building new computers will have a heart attack if they see our futuristic technological equipment.

Old computer: breathes
Eucalyptus oil has joined the chat
This is definitely my longest tech video yet! Hope you enjoy it 👌

Psivewri I’m the first one to reply
And why did you not buy a classic display
One of the best youtubers that doesn't clickbait.
If you are in india....you would have more than a million subs
But good work anyways...carry on and eventually u will be there soon
Psivewri: "i wont retro-bright it because its cloudy today"
also Psivewri: "in the ot sun i began sanding...."
flandz that crap is fake
I said the same thing 😂😂 it was sunny , he just didn’t want to use bleach
@@Danimations2015 Retrobrighting works, though, unless you are talking about something else.
@@davongreen60 Retrobrighting actually doesn't use bleach, it uses high percentage Hydrogen Peroxide in the sun or UV lighting to bleach the yellowing of plastics
@@NotPython i forgot, but i'm pretty sure it wasn't retrobrighting
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL work, you do such a great job restoring computers, I love your channel, keep up the amazing work! ❤❤❤
Only just found your channel. Seeing you test with Motocross Madness 2 is wanting me to play again.
1:52 Windows 98 startup sound, “The Sims Livin’ Large”.. I’M CRYING 😭
Love to hear the old Microsoft boot up sounds too
Ikr
Awesome job! Love seeing these old retro machines revived.
Psiverwi: *cleans the crap out of out power supplies on old computers*
Me: *goes to Amazon and gets a new power supply*
I mean if the computer was to be turned on a bit I'd replace the power supply I don't trust those old capacitors.
big brain
You can and should really buy ATX to AT power supply adapters and use modern power supply, I have 2 "older machines" a generic beige box Pentium 100 and also a Gateway P2-233. The P100 i dont really care , so if it blows no big deal. The gateway has little use and is in great condition, all caps are good, so i guess gateway did not use the sub standard caps at the time.
If the machine is valuable and you can use a generic supply then it is a smart thing to do
Regards
George
It’s not hard to replace the capacitors
YES!!!!
Keep up the great work! I love computer restoration videos. Thay give so much joy to see older tech in its near original glory!
Top quality work in every aspect. Video, restoration, edit. Top notch stuff mate.
Watching your videos is truly therapeutic for me. As a lover of computers specially older 80s and 90s stuff. I truly enjoy watching what you do. Thanks
Man, I love your vids, and I am impressed with your IT skills.
These restoration videos are really cool to watch, the amount of effort you put in is really understated.
Another great video! Happy to see your channel doing well! :)
Excellent video bro! That Windows 98 boot up theme ❤️
You know you're a geek when videos like this satisfy you haha!
Awesome job! Final result really turned out great
There is something satisfying about watching your videos! Well Done!
I love that boot up sound reminds me of being a little kid again, my grandmother bought the same gateway pc new I remember everyone being on it using aol and dial up
Your process are so neat, I really love your channel.
I've recently discovered these computer restoration videos and have been enjoying them. It reminds me of when I built my own PCs back in the day. Of all the PCs I've owned since the early 1990s, only 2 were prebuilt, a Goldstar 386SX I got around 1991 and a Dell AMD Ryzen 5 I purchased in 2017. I lost my last homebuilt PC when my home flooded in 2016 and was planning to build another one, but then I saw that I could buy this Dell, which was similar in specs to what I was planning to build, for a little less money than buying the parts and building it myself so I got a little lazy and bought it. I like the PC and it works well, but there are some things about it that make we wish I'd built my own. Thanks again for the video and maybe I'll build my own PC again soon.
Nice Job! Those old Gateways were built like a tank.
I'm watching tuns of your videos and I'm loving your channel !
This is very cool. I love how you restore old computers instead of throwing them away.
My dad bought one of these in 97 we actually still have it.
Love your videos man :D
I'm impressed with the effort you go to bringing an old pc back to life. Somebody once told me you could bring back yellowed plastic with peroxide. I've got a couple old machines around the house I could try it on, but I haven't got around to it.
Loving the effort you put into these videos, keep it up!
yeah! the restoration man! i do the same with my old pcs so cogratulationss!!
Thank you for turing history back into reality. I love your videos good work 😊
The Need for Speed really brought back fond memories. Thanks for the video mate.
OMG! A Zip drive! Boy that takes me back to when I was at design school - they were the best thing in the world back then, we could finally transport large graphic design projects around. I'd completely forgotten about Zip drives. :) Thanks for a great video.
Great video mate. Loving the eucalyptus work. Was fantastic to message you last week.
I love this video, I appreciate your attention to detail too!
Great video as always
Y is this so relaxing?
And of course... eucalyptus oil!
Ikr why is this so relaxing?
relaxing voice
This model Gateway holds still to this day a special place in my heart..... props to your work sir!
When I saw the picture of the case I had to click and watch. I have the same case but when you take off the small front drive bay cover, mine says G5-233 and it was originally a pentium 233 version. I think Gateway liked this case for their systems as it seemed they used it for awhile and even mine had a metal plate covering the rear 80mm fan exhaust. Strange they did not put a fan in the back. Great video and glad to see another vintage computer not in the trash or scrapped.
I do enjoy your tech videos that's for sure and being a fellow Australian I have to say keep them coming mate they bring back a lot of memories for me
So satisfying. Perfect throwback
Beautiful restoration - the paint looks great!
Thanks. Keep up the good work :)
I love how oblivious you are to spray painting.
really good work on this machine, as usually good video!
Great job. Thanks for sharing. I think Gateway should hire you to restore not only their old computers, but the whole company!
Great vid. Really like that you rescued an old pII to fight another day!
congrats, looks fantastic!
Excellent video!
Great work ❤
Adelaide boy here aswell. SA represent man. Keep the videos coming
Love your videos. New subscriber here from Pittsburgh PA 😊
Such a great video I subscribed :)
That is so awesome! Thanks to you I'm starting to clean ancient laptops I have laying around hahha! Denatured alcohol really is a gem
My first job out of highschool was in 2004 at a PC repair shop. These PC's were already old but we got so many people bringing them in. I've taken those cases apart a lot.
so much effort you put into refurbishing this old rig. But good job!
Pro job love these vidz!
Really enjoyed this one. Thanks.
Love these videos
This is definitely one of the few pristine refurbishments and restorations of old computers I ever seen, despite most of these computers in the 90s are now rarely seen.
take a shot for every time he says “dust”
And debris
And Methylated Spirit
Soren or rust
oh no now i dont have any memory anymore
Or clean
Great video content and information
me encanta tu canal, y sobre todo el valor para desarmar y reparar y dejar como nuevos los equipos :)
Your videos are incredibly addictive.
Love looking back at these fun computers. At least they were back in the day.
Bless you for trying out Motocross Madness and Hover, thus completing my nostalgia trip!
One tip on a cleaning tool for fan blades and hard-to-reach areas: bottle brushes. Especially baby bottle brushes for small spaces. I used them for cleaning everything from computers to appliances to car parts. Peace!
When you watch a Psivewri video, you know you're learning how to restore things to their former glory.
really good job!
Great work! I was actually going to attempt to retrobright a case of an old Pentium 1 PC I;m restoring here but your idea to spray paint ivory white is good. Much faster and less hassle as I was going to purchase a UV light
Your videos are great. I'm surprised at the amount of nerds, in Australia, considering the weather conditions. I'd be a completely different person over there (I'd love to surf) but I live in the uk unfortunately. I stay in because its cold weather...we all need hobbies and I'm truly impressed about how much info you know about old systems, at your age. I have been introducing my daughter to the world of old games, also. I'm glad these old systems still have a part in this world.
Love your videos keep it up !
So glad this man is back!
Hey man! Your videos are amazing. Greetings from Brazil!
Wow it is a beefy old pc. Nice to see that you give it love. The fan outside of the power supply was a surprise.
great video. keep creating
This is satisfying to watch
Bro ur the channel i'm looking for
Good work
You made my day, thanks a lot.
these type of videos are most satisfying one
Keep doing what you are doing
Your computer restoration videos are entertaining
So relaxing
How do you not have more subs, your vids are amazing
I bought a Gateway PC back in 1999!! .....had it for about six years before getting a Dell, with the then 'new style' flat monitor screens. This is like travelling back in time!
I just junked my old p2 Win98 machine this year. It felt bad to junk it, but I needed the space. She still worked.
great job!
i liked it, i've 4 complete toners all original with the system discs, and stickers complete and working except 1 needs new wire in one spot
Love watching these bring back old day - i remember have ing an sx25 then spening $3000 on a 486sx 66Mhz if I remember corectly then getting the CDROM add-ons. coding nibbles through qbasic
This desktop PC restoration is amazing, I find desktop PC restoration videos pretty interesting
this was my first windows based pc that got in to gaming. great memories. wish i had one right now
Ahh it was so satisfying to see you f u l l y restore this computer!! Awesome job!!!
this video was seemingly perfect!
Nice Video ! 😀
