I'm Swedish, and I've been interested in having a chip under my skin for a couple of years. I have at least a couple of demands: 1) It must be at a place on my body and shallow enough under the skin so that I in an emergency situation (or whatever) CAN take it out myself (with a sharp knife and/or needle) without problems or danger. (Being dependent on a surgeon or other doctor for such a thing feels like a no -- even if that will be recommended.), 2) It must be impossible to track other than via direct physical contact or very short distance (like, say, max a dm or so), 3) it must be imposible for it to release any kind of substance (so must be in a stainless steel or titanium shell, or some completely stable plastic or resin compound of some sort). I'm thinling about my health here. (For example, women have been damaged from leaking breast implants and such.) If these demands can be guaranteed, then why not? What do you think?
Well, that was rude, but whatever. My biggest issue would be the health and trackability of the thing. But even after that, I would still be hesitant to implant that thing. It feels a bit final like a tattoo but with the added risk of it sounding like a Skynet.
