God of War 3 Challenge of Exile - Fear Itself

- Available on the God of War 3 Ultimate Edition and through PSN are an additional 7 challenges. Fear Itself requires you to beat Fear Kratos.

An update to my previous description, it seems like there's a glitch on this challenge where Fear Kratos takes random hits (see grandmort's comprehensive Faq for more details). This glitch makes the challenge considerably easier and so this run of the challenge shouldn't be considered a "proper" run.
So I may at some point do another run to correct this issue.

Geez! I wish the Fear Kratos I fought didn't fight back! He used perfect countering, quick dodging, elaborate combos and and the enemies to his advantage.

@MultiRv90 He's hard to kill because Fear Kratos blocks and dodges a lot and his combo attacks if you get caught can easily kill you if you're not at full health.
Is it just me that found this the easiest challenge in the challenges of exile?
In all honesty i found this challenge as easy as "hands off". I did it another 4 more times to check if it wasn't glitched.
Completing all the challenges of Exile doesn't unlock anything.

Figgie no the fuck it doesn’t dumbass the Challenge of Olympus does, the Challenge of Exile is purely for a challenge while there is no reward.
The additional challenges (ESPECIALLY this one) and the additional 6 costumes is a lot of content to keep out of the game's original retail edition. I sure hope all this can be downloaded from the Playstation store in the near future.
I bought the god of war 3 remastered to remember old times when I played on ps3 and I the remastered fear Kratos is so so so much harder than this one.

Nobody ever uses the combo where you hold square and tap triangle at the end to launch him, giving you time to hit him with the cyclone of chaos or tartarus rage.
@MultiJapan You have to buy the DLC (if you don't own the Ultimate edition), then complete the game and it should appear alongside the Challenges of Olympus.
@DevilRebellion I believe the content may be already on the disk. I'm reasonably sure the ultimate edition download for GoW3 was only 500kb or so. Anyway they'll probably bundle it when they do a GoW3 GOTY edition.
This will be how pvp look like if they invented pvp on god of war locally or network players

@hatchhyjack I happened to get lucky on this attempt as it was glitched, which made it much easier.
@bystanderg thanks. i only have the orginal one. not the one that has all three god of war games.
This is easily a disappointment of a fight. He takes no damage while standing there thinking how to kill you. He interrupts your attacks and it is his life mission to throw a fucking skeleton at you. What a waste.

@joystickratos The glitch has been pointed out to me, I may re-run later but I'll probably concentrate on getting the remaining trophies I'm missing at the moment.

Whenever I try this challenge it's quite the opposite, if chains this combo: square, square, triangle, I'll be fucked though I'm an excellent gamer, especially in God of War games and I don't know about you, pal but I can hardly wait for the next God of War game and I want it to be an open world game like skyrim

@Felvein It's not that bad as long as you avoid getting hit by any of the combos.

yea i was wondering the same thing, a few times he was normal and other times fear kratos kept blowing himself up, i ended up not attacking him and watching to figure out what was going on :-S
