Retirees, young adults + Occupational Therapy students | Men's Shed Mentor Program

  • Retirees working with young adults with intellectual disability, help to develop their social skills. At Men's Shed in WA, Occupational Therapy students from Curtin, work with this mentoring program to support people in the community.
    Curtin University, in collaboration with Western Sydney University, are conducting research into the benefits of intergenerational mentoring at Men’s Sheds, across Western Australia. Young men with intellectual disability are assigned mentors within Men's Sheds, to assist in the development of work ready skills.
