That's exactly it. I was just saying to someone on instagram. We all had our 'first day on the water', and a tutorial will always help make it easier. I just wish RUclips existed in the late 90s! haha
Can you make a video 📼 what the driver has to do for a better experience. What is the idea of a wake / small 🌊 wave.. Or no wake is better? Driver setting
Yeah David! The perfect rundown, basically everything we also tell first-timers who are trying to get up behind the boat. Hope all is well man, stay rad 🤘
Nice video. I've been wakeboarding for years and I get up easily every time but I always come out of the water with the foot forward that I usually ride with the best. But I've tried many times to get out of the water like you do here straight side ways and that's definitely way harder to do. Even after years of wakeboarding I still haven't truly been able to. Maybe its cause of an under powered boat perhaps?
my dad has a pretty old boat whitout a tower on it so its really hard to progress. the wake of the boat isn't that big ether. u got any tips in progressing my flips and airtime?
I think the fundamentals are key to help progress, specially on small wakes. I learnt a lot of what I know now on a small wake and whilst I was a little frustrated at times, I think it worked in my favour. Also, maybe play around with line length and boat speed :)
Confused by the stance bit here..I thought your strong foot always went to the back? I'm right footed so have regular stance in surfing/ orthodox in boxing (with my right foot at the back)..do you put your strong foot forward in wakeboarding?
Some people (myself included) feel only comfortable as a "Goofy" rider (right foot forward) my right is my strong side but if I ever try to use it on the back of any board, it's a fall for me.
What would be awesome, is a video of how to *pull* a wake-boarder. How fast to accelerate etc
That rear view filming is really helpful and smart!
Thanks, David. I learned that if I look down, I'll go down.
Awesome instruction! We all started out as beginners in wakeboarding and hopefully this gets more people trying it! 🙌

Very helpful! Went out for my first time and got up on the second try!
Love the videos man. I’m starting to wake board now, keep the videos coming lol

Because of your video series I was able to take my first ride on the wakeboard this weekend. Using your process I got up first try!

@@DavidOCaoimhWakeboarder okay i will try. thanks for the advice. keep up the vids
Same - surf, skate and snowboard would usually have dominate foot at the back. Is it the other way round on a wakeboard or did he just ge mixed up😊

Yeah I feel the same way
The push method is good, the trick is the person being pushed can't know what you are about to do, it needs to be an unthinking reaction.

I’m a cable boarder and found the drag getting up behind a boat was an immense pull on my hands/grip. What am i doing wrong?
Its just an immense pull
Cant believe you dont have a spotter on the boat bro.. cowboys R Us
Im the first, please review my backroll😅
