Yeah, this track is pretty much the link between Player 1's "Space Invaders" (1979) and the first Chicago house record, Jesse Saunders' "On & On" (1984).

As the story goes, his copy was stolen one night and he decided to use the loop from this track to create the very first house record On and On by Jesse Saunders on his very own newly formed label Jes Say records. The catalogue number for this release would be JS999. The first 500 copies were pressed with a black label with white text. The subsequent presses had a white label with black text. Jesse Saunders' version is regarded by many as being the first recorded house release. Back to the Mach release, the mix contains the following songs: Munich Machine - Get On The Funk Train, Playback - Space Invaders, Lipps Inc. - Funky Town, Donna Summer - Bad Girls (acapella). vicdmise Hace 5 años @mauricio martinez I'd love to know what he recorded/sampled/sequenced this with. At the time only a Fairlight or Synclavier could have done it, and it's highly unlikely he just did it by hand as a dj or by editing tape. If so, where did he get access to the Fairlight or Synclavier? Thanks!

Can anyone id this portion of "On and on" that comes in at the 1:11 mark,first it's "Space Invaders",this unknown clapping track accompanied by what sounds like a wood block instrument and then "Funky town"
Carlos Emanuel did you ever figure it out? It sounds like a flanged clap. And also a wood block, beforr funkytown enters. But maybe Mach added those two elements from a drum machine.
