The new version of Vader’s helmet is objectively more screen accurate with its shape and proportions. It looks a little odd on a LEGO mini-figure but I can appreciate the attention to detail on it

Every LEGO Darth Vader with the new helmet mold is my favorite version.
I like the older helmet, but the fact that the 2015 one makes him taller (Vader was an absolute unit) is spot on

You're missing the one from the Emperor Palpatine's Shuttle. It's him literally just fresh from his battle with Obi Wan, he's all scarred and burned. I guess it could be argued it's an anakin figure but he was going by Vader by that point sooooo.

The two piece with his breather or whatever? I do like the helmet mold somewhat better and it doesn't slip off as easy like the single helmet. Seeing his lower mask mouth covering helps give him that intimidating look the previous mask sort of lacks.

I genuinely don’t know why some people don’t like the new wave of the Vader helmet, it makes him look taller which he is. But in the end everyone has their own opinion and I must respect that.

His head isn’t supposed to be intimidating almost no one saw Vader without his helmet so he wouldn’t have to strike fear with his face print and anyone who did see him without his mask was most likely killed

There is this Vader helmet that is extremely rare. It is a 1999 prototype test run of Vader helmets and it was printed in red. It goes from $1000 to $7000 depending on condition

The first Darth Vader minifig I ever got was the one who has a lit up light saber. The light still work to this day! However, sadly, one of his legs broke off.

My favourite Vader I own is the 2017 version from the updated transformation set.
I added a black belt piece from the Inferno Squadron set to give him a tad more height and a metallic black/dark gray saber hilt from the Kylo tie vs A Wing microfighters set to complete that "Dark Lord" look

Who else misses the older better days, Where they animated the 3-D look, They had them all on steps instead of a shelf, And they had good lighting
Man I miss my legos.. I had a nice mini fig collection when I was a kid. My mom forced me to get rid of them but to this day she says it was my decision.

I actually do prefer the newer Darth Vader mask model because in the older ones like the Christmas one and every other before that you could’ve seen the gray face he had underneath because of his neck so now it looks like he’s actually breathing because there’s no air coming in from the neck lol

I mean, anew Hope is about 18 years after revenge of the sith, I’m pretty certain his scars would heal up to the white Darth Vader head in give or take 18 years, so it would really be perfect just for the ROTS.

I feel all 3 of the burnt minifigures should've been included in the collection, when Anakin was burnt on Mustafar, he was already Darth Vader by that point.

No that's not true he was declared Darth Vader by Sheev Palpatine once he was taken in and given new life. Before that he was just a rogue Jedi working for the dark side.

Now honestly, between the old LEGO Vader helmet and the NEW one, I kinda like both of them.
The 2009 version also came out in a magnet set. Lucky me for getting one without the glue.

8:56 Actually, there are two versions of that watch set. The version you've shown actually has a grey head ((the one with the 3 clone troopers at the top). There is a second version with the black head which has a darth vader logo instead of the 3 clone troopers. They are both have the same set number 9001765.

Found chrome Vader out of the poly bag in a thrift shop being sold for $25. Great condition and nice to know he is worth so much.
When the new two-piece helmet released I didn't like it, but as the years have gone on its definitely grown on me.

I like the new version of the helmet, it does look screen accurate and with or without the helmet, he is supposed to look intimidating. LEGO just decides to keep updating their minifigs and they look so much better.
I actually really like the weird tan head...For one thing, it gives Vader Sith eyes, and for another, the Dark Side is meant to be taxing on a person's body, so it makes sense that his skin would yellow. I'm pretty sure his skin is shown as yellow in TESB anyway, during the scene with his helmet off while he's in his chamber.

I like both helmet designs. The original looks more menacing and brooding, but the new one is more accurate in terms of how it fits on his head (with it being 2 pieces) and also makes him look taller compared to other minifigs.

@@youshallnotpass3937 Actually had the opposite effect for me. The new one, with the eyes and brow sitting higher, makes him look less angry and more like a confused German Shepherd to me. Idk, maybe it’s just the angle I keep seeing it at, since I haven’t really seen it in real life yet.
The old one does not look menacing in the slightest. It looks way too friendly compared to the newer, mostly due to the more detailed and accurate 2015 design.

The new 2015 version is way better then any of the others that came before him. Helmet wise. It is so cool to be able to have that splitting helmet gimmick like it was in the films. Why on earth would people be mad at a more accurate and better looks Darth Vader helmet...
Nooooo, when I was 8 years old I won a lego Darth Vader mini figure building competition at my local LEGO store and I was given the exact Black Chrome Darth Vader! Sealed in the baggy, my father collected toys so he told me not to open it as it would cost a lot in the future, now almost 9 years later I have no idea what happened to it. Kinda a shame knowing it’s worth a lot.
