Jeremy Corbyn tells government to 'get its act together' or 'make way'

  • Labour today demanded Theresa May and her Government stand aside claiming she has lost control of Brexit and her own authority. The resignation of Boris Johnson this afternoon has led Jeremy Corbyn's party to call a snap general election - the third in three years. Some Labour MPs shouted 'resign' while others waved 'bye' as the Prime Minister took to the despatch box in the Commons today to defend her Chequers deal. Jeremy Corbyn stopped short of calling for Mrs May to quit but said there was a 'crisis in Government' after the resignation of Mr Johnson and Brexit Secretary David Davis. But he asked: 'How can anyone have faith in the Prime Minister getting a good deal with 27 European Union governments when she can't even broker a deal within her own Cabinet?' Shadow chancellor John McDonnell (pictured) led calls for an end to 'paralysis in government' warning it was 'no way to govern a country'.

      I'll let you in on a secret, it has led to mass starvation every single time it has ever been tried. Only a complete idiot would think that somehow it'll be different with Corbyn.

      ??????????????? Stalin didn't rule the USSR forever. Had the USSR actually been enduring mass starvation, they wouldn't of lasted for as long as they did. The PRC had the Great Leap Forward famine as it suffered through natural disasters and incompetent management as it tried to industrialise, but still ended up with the population growing by 100 million (9%) in ~9 years from 1953 to 1964 (However the GLF campaign only lasted from 1958-1962), and has not been particularly famished ever since.

      I'm conservative but they really have shot themselves in the foot. Get labour in to fuck up the economy like they normally do and then the world will come crawling back for the tories to save their ass again. Most of the younger generation (like me) will grow up and become Tory later on when they realise you can't always help everyone and then we can go back to normality.

    The country was bankrupted by a global credit crisis, caused by the corrupt stock market and housing loans companies in the US. Also, Tony Blair and Gordon Brown were New Labour, infamously Tory-lite, and the Conservative Party not only supported the same corrupt business ethics of the US credit system back then (and would have made the impact on the UK economy much worse than New Labour did) but they STILL support these business ethics now...
    They have also destroyed our economy since taking power over a decade ago and have been and still are selling billions a year in weaponry to middle eastern regimes which support terrorist groups and siphoning the profits into foreign accounts and investments.
    Corbyn is the only honest party leader we've had in a long time and the bullshit corporate owned media, who don't want to pay proper taxes here, are doing everything they can to discredit him. It's working like a charm on swathes of complete f*cking idiots across airhead, reactionary Britain.

      Maybe true, but Corbyn has never did anything evil, yes he might once he's prime minister, might give up to the true powers but he will give his people the chance to get educated and think.
      Labour has always been better than the conservatives, always, the real cancer of the labour the party that degraded the people party was blair the son of a bitch, who went against the people of uk and fought the wars for the greater Israel project and made innocent human beings into terrorists.

    6 Labour MPs quit the front bench, 2 Welsh Labour MPs quit the same Month, all down to Brexit....its on both sides.
    Funny thing is if you are Pro EU, May is your best hope, if she goes out, a harder line will be drawn on leaving.
    Labour just want another election, so desperate for power, tried giving everything away for free (12 months free Sky subscription is next)

    • @ThePlank1991
      @ThePlank1991 6 лет назад

      Differance is Labour isn't negotiating with the EU...The Tory's are. They can't afford to be fighting amongst themselves, where as labour have all the time in the world

    • @mrmrgaming
      @mrmrgaming 6 лет назад +1

      True, but 8 Labour MPs quitting in one month alone goes to show that if Labour were in Number 10, they would be having the exact same issues.
      Its partly people doing what they believe is true, part doing as they are told, and unfortunately as with HOL, there is a big part voting the way that makes them ££ due to EU investment.
      There is a huge conflict of interests within both sides.

    • @ThePlank1991
      @ThePlank1991 6 лет назад

      It depends on how Labour would handle it, and we don't know how they would seen as though they aren't in power.
      true 8 labour mp's quitting isn't great at all, but if they were in power im sure more talks would be done before they left, they only left because the disagreed with Jeremy, and if it meant losing his front bench Jeremy might of changed his mind if he was PM, clearly the tory front bench have talked and May is standing her ground.
      Could be completely different outcomes if they were switched.

    • @mrmrgaming
      @mrmrgaming 6 лет назад

      Two thirds of the MPs would have to vote YES for that to happen, I don't see that happening.
      Some Tory MPs just want a new PM, not a election.

    • @mrmrgaming
      @mrmrgaming 6 лет назад

      Boris is a Trump (love him hate him) Mogg is too Brexit and though he is victorian, I think the man nails 95% government wise.
      SaJid is fav for PM and someone I saw getting the job a year before the next election, its just now I think that timeframe will change to sooner than that.
      Main thing is more Tory MPs are Pro EU, they want May to stay, the others would be more anti EU.

    the referendum ordered the government to leave not the farce we have now ,tory brexit mps should form a new party and fight a bi-elections on delivering brexit,after brexit we require TARIFF FREE TRADE OUT OF THE CUSTOMS UNION ,CONTROL OVER OUR BORDERS A FULL RETURN TO BRITISH LAW and if they dont agree it just leave and spend the 10 billion we pay into the EU and the 50 billion we were going to pay them and put it into subsiding the transition of British business

    Its a bit rich when Corbyn goes on about 2 Tory resignations. 103 of his shadow cabinet have resigned in the last 2 years, an all time record.
