When I was watching this episode I was going to skip Motokos part but then when I listened to what she was saying I just started crying. I thought she was just going to do the usual love confession but it was so much better she new Yuki didn't feel the same way so instead she just thanked him. loving Yuki made her happy and she hopes that he can find the same happiness.
Like I'm so ready to see all my favorite moments animated but I'm also freaking out because of the emotions I will inhabit watching them. Many tears will be shed in honor of my favorite story of all time.
Thank you for posting again Flora! I really love watching your reactions as always. Japanese people really treasure graduation seasons, because they represent going from one stage to the next. There is a lot of nostalgia. It's similar in America, but I think in Japan I've realized it has a much deeper meaning. There is a real grief and sadness that comes with farewells. I've met many students here in Japan that usually say that either their graduation from middle school or high school was really sad/hard, as well as happy. Many people tend to look back at their schools as some of their best times. Which is another reason why I think high school manga/anime are so common as well. Fruits Basket has done an excellent job of conveying those feelings this episode especially.
I cried a lot during this episode, I had to say goodbye to a lot of friends last year because I moved from one area of Japan to a new area, and I have been on my own personal journey of grieving the times and the friends I met where I was. But I am thankful for new beginnings. I love the line that says. after "goodbye" comes with "nice to meet you". It is so real for me especially right now.

「青春 (Seishun) 」can be directly translated as "blue spring". So I wondered again why the Word "Seishun" remembers young, fragile, but energetic school days.🟦🌸
青(Kanji for "blue" ) also has the meaning of "young, immature," so I thought 青春probably represents a young period of life, an immature but energetic period of our life. It’s like spring season in one year.
Then I realize that the color representing "youth" is different in Japanese and English! English speakers may feel "youthful" in "green," right?
I'm confused, but that's interesting~!

I think the pacing is just perfect, actually. I LOVED this episode! They did such a good job with tender emotions. But OMG OMG OMG do you think next time it's Kyoko?!?!
I hope they gonna do more anime original scenes/episodes(2-3 eps) like before the final episode if they do 25 episodes since I want some more fruits basket XD

the things is sometimes i dont like kakeru because he seems pretty uncaring towards machi but at the same time he makes yuki take care of her so its funny and wierd~ but i really would like some moments of kakeru and machi connecting you know
I loved all Yuki x Machi moments they are so perfect together, I'm glad Yuki was there for her she deserves all the happiness in the world also I'm excited and not ready for the next episode at the same time, I don't care if I'm biased but I honestly can't forgive Akito especially for the things that she did to my girl Rin
Love this episode! The first two episodes are so sad and frustating already, and so this one is a nice break from all that.
I think this episode made me see Yuki in a different light. He treats Machi as a woman, like how Kyo treats Tohru.
The sad and maddening part of the episode is, surprise surprise, the bad parents. It might not be new by now, but parents in Fruits Basket never fails to make me mad!
Man, Fruits Basket really is a compilation of "worst parents in existnce". Like how can you be this horrible to your own child? I don't get it.
I'm alittle concerned by the title of the next episode. It looks like they are going to be adapting 3 chapters of content regarding Rin's storyline in only one episode. That's got me worried as to what exactly they are going to cut as there is ALOT going on! 😱😰
idk i think those chapters read really fast. i can't imagine it being enough content for two whole episodes. and they cant just do 104/105 and 106/107, cuz 107/108 as chapters belong together. i feel like 105/106 in particular have a TON of dialogue thats just overlaid on top of flashbacks.

The Japanese word for mistake is machigai, so I feel super bad for Machi.
Machi also means Town/city
