I KNOW IT'S LONG BUT PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING How old is your son because for me I was super excited to get mine for Christmas and although it is pretty good in the snow its just to slow normaly I would of much rather prefered a 110 dirtbike it doesn't even have to be new i was born in 2005 i loved my 1980s yamaha 80 or my 1986 honda 90 I would recomend newer then that but still if he is any where around like 10 get him something bigger and if he is shorter or younger he won't like it because its too big (for example mt brother is 10 he fits petfectly on a 110 but is to small for the ct200u) also its super hard to ride because of the lack of suspension and if you ride without gloves or even with thinner gloves like the cheap home depot ones it makes your hands red and hurts/tingles because of the vibrations through the front stem If you are worried about speed most newer small bikes im guessing 2008 and up have throttle bolts that limit the speed

it depends on the state, but usually they at least require a headlight and tail light so you can be seen at night. you can use your arms as turn signals in many cases. you can also get them registered at the DMV
Yeah you aren't kidding! I might try that someday. I got 20x7x8 (one inch taller than stock) tires on mine now and air then to like 4.5 psi on the rear and that helps a ton. Even the stock tires you can air down quite a bit, that helps too, even with a suspension seat it would help! ✌

I have the Coleman BT200X. I put a Predator 212 on it so its really fast now. Planning to buy an old Go Kart frame so I can put the old 196 engine into the go kart.
No not at all. The hard part was what the connection from the sprocket to the engine was. We ordered a torque converter for $150, it didn't fit because it needed risers, so we sold it, and we accidently ordered the wrong centrifugal clutch. We finally ordered the right clutch off Walmart, because it was the only one with fast shipping while this pandemic is going on. I also read that those 196 clones are cheap Chinese clones that can blow up easier than Predators. If it ever happens (which I assume wouldn't happen for a few years because they're decently reliable) best choice for replacement is a Predator engine. They're 120 dollars at Harbor Freight instead of 300 for a Honda GX200
@@MattS_Filmography The Hisun engine is a good clone. Yes Chinese but again a pretty good clone. The Predator is also a cheap Chinese engine. Not sure what would make it better quality than a Hisun? If I had a choice between a brand new Hisun or a brand new Predator, I would take the Hisun. Better QC than Harbor Freight engines. The advantage of the 212 is that it's a bigger engine with a larger intake valve.

It’s holding up just fine, the only maintenance is keep the oil changed regularly and very lightly grease the clutch, the screw that hold the clutch on may need alittle Loctite so it want come out but other than that, perfect!
@@benpitchford2987 also the stock muffler gets pretty hot and it sticks out, ebay had a muffler upgrade with the bend pipe and screw on muffler tip, but just save up for it

I’m 5’9 over 300 yes it’s very powerful, once you upgrade the muffler, it’s a big improvement on torque
