How to: Perfect Winged Eyeliner! (New Technique!)

Hope you all are well :)
This tutorial over the last couple of years has been so highly requested. Anytime I wear a cat eye flick I'm always asked how I do it and what products I use. This tutorial will show you an extremely simple way of creating that perfect cat eye flick every time! There are probably hundreds of winged eyeliner tutorials on RUclips but I've never come across anyone to date that does their eyeliner like me which was why I created this tutorial. Eventually once you get some practice in, you won't need to use the dots as a guide!
When it comes down to the products I use, I mostly use affordable ones from the chemist/drugstore..as most of you know already! This look is no different, both products used are from Essence makeup which I'm pretty sure cost about a fiver for the two. You can't go wrong! Everyone is always quite surprised when I mention what I use but they are some fantastic budget buys out there, you just have to look!

If its in regard to the technique, I've effectively demonstrated in the video how it works. If thats not enough I suggest you read through the comment section of this video. Amazing....seriously this is such an easy way and even I haven't seen anyone doing the liner this way. Though I'm good in applying eyeliner I've never tried or rather it never really worked out for me to have a wing liner. I'm definitely going to try this :)

I don't wear a lot of makeup, but I really like this look and I LOVE how you did a step by step on HOW TO do this. I've seen other tutorials but they skip the step by step that you did and go to fast. This was EXCELLENT :) Melody

I'd also recommend the L'oreal Infallible Super Slim for a drugstore option! Nice long felt tip that tapers well, great pigmentation and not too wet or dry of a formula. I've had it for a couple months and it hasn't dried out at all, and it doesn't flake at all when on the eyelid (I've had some liners do that!) My favourite liquid liner I've ever tried!

MrsHemmings Thank you so much! Stick the tape on the back of your hand a couple of times so the majority of the stickiness wears off. When you stick it on the outer portion of your eye then it won't be as sore to remove :) x

This is really a technique that I haven't seen before and I will definitely try it. It seems to be the one that will ensure the best results. Can you let me know which glue you are using for the lashes and where do you buy it from? I also live in Ireland (Dublin) and I couldn't find the Duo adhesive in store. I know everybody recommends that as the best. Thanks!
+DeSuflet2011 I use the Duo Adhesive and I get mine in Inglot. Depending on where you live in Dublin you could get it in the store in Dundrum, Jervis Street Shopping Centre or in the Flag Ship store on South Anne street, it's just off Grafton Street. Mac also stock it and Boots but I'm not entirely sure not sure :) x

OMG! I used to do this when I first started using eyeliner after a while I was able to do it without the dots. I can't believe someone else does it and to think all the girls used to laugh at me for dotting my eyes (no pun intended).

I know it's not right but i personally find it impossible to do eyeliner without streching my eyelid to oblivion. If i don't you can be sure that it will become choppy. could it be my products arent right>?
+Franny LP (frannylpfan) It happens the same to me, but I think it's because of the skin, it becomes more loose after all the times we stretch it, so I guess it should be good to practice without stretching (I have marks below my eyes already)What products do you use? jewelnabq01 My hands are a bit shaky so the liquid is difficult for me. I tried a gel pencil and it worked great after the first time but I had to sharpen it and the edges nearly cut me. I FOUNDLY found a great one on Amazon. It is waterproof(my eyes water so I needed that...not to mention the rain and humidity in Florida) Clio Gelpresso Waterproof Pencil Gel 007 Liner So this is what I got for my daughter and myself and so far we love it. You just twist and turn as you use it up. No sharpening required. Strong pigment. I can control it. It's not dry or anything. Very nice. Just my 2 cents. I've been looking FOREVER for something like this lol
