In this video I review Fairtex boxing gloves, I've used a loaner pair many times in the gym and decided to buy my own. The American flag pair you see in the video was my 1st pair I owned and lasted me about 26-28 months before ripping apart. My next pair of Fairtex boxing gloves are the painters. The leather is softer and the wrist protection goes down your wrist more. I'm still getting used to them but so far I'm not super pumped on them either, I might need to switch back to the type of glove like my American flag pair. Time will tell, I'll keep you updated on that:) Thank you for your time and thank you for watching.

You forgot to mention the main difference.
bvg1 (the pair with the flag) - genuine leather.
bvg14 (the new pair) - synthetic leather. most likely this pair won't last as long as the bvg1.
and I'm just wondering why don't you use bag gloves for heavy bag training?
finally, a review that shows the actual wear and tear
Your american flags are bgv1 which is a thai style glove. Your painters are the bgv14, or the punchers/boxing style glove.
what's the difference between boxing n Thai gloves?
@@osodelsur_ Thai gloves have more articulation around the wrist which makes it easier to clinch. Whereas boxing gloves are more rigid around the wrist. Thai style gloves also have a wider appearance and shorter cuff. They may also have more padding around the palm for parrying elbow strikes and kicks.
@@Airbender24B thx man helps alot but could u use Thai gloves like boxing gloves just for sparring?
@@osodelsur_ Yes, there's nothing wrong with using Thai style gloves for boxing. I used the fairtex bgv1-br for sparring and bag work. It just comes down to personal preference.
@@Airbender24B nice thx I was getting confused about them. thx again
BGV14 is my favorite sparring glove, slim, longer cuff, tight knuckles, flexible wrist. Very very different design than the short cuff Fairtex for anyone to be aware of. Great comparison thanks!!
Would you recommend them for muay thai sparring or just boxing?
Yo you didn’t even mention the model numbers 😂 one is a Thai glove one is a western boxing glove. One is made of leather the other is synthetic leather.
Which would you use for boxing , which would you use for heavy bag
@@thefamousgabe hi, the bgv9 is excellent for boxing, its like cleto reyes mexican style, its good for bag , id suggest bgv5 for sparring.
@@thefamousgabeThe new pair of gloves are for traditional boxing. Notice how they are longer for more wrist protection. The first pair is for Muay Thai.
@@comradespongebobbgL6 for sparring?
@@MuaikThaison bgl6 is good for sparring
Hello bro, i have a pair of boxing 14 oz leone gloves but now i am training muay thai in phuket. I am 187 cm and 100 kg what oz should i buy and should i get fairtex or Yokkao?
what fairtex glove would you (or anyone else here) reccomend for general training?, meaning a bit of everything, pad work, sparring, mit work, everything, i have 180 inch hand wraps and have heard that fairtex gloves can be a very tight fit even without wraps?, can anyone reccomend? cheers
Bvg 8 or bvg 4
lol, uh you got a completely different model than the first ones that's why they are different. If you beat the crap out of those Bgv1 ones like that in two years those new ones with the synthetic leather probably won't last more than a year.
I think it’s micro fibre
so hard to find a review that someone that uses his gloves..
Which is better? Leather or microfibre?
Very surprised you did a review of 2 diffrent gloves but didn’t even mention the diffrent materials their made of, one being leather one being synthetic, did you even look at what material the painters are made of ?
The best advice for gear I’ve ever heard someone say was icy mike he said just because something breaks doesn’t mean it’s a bad product but another one
Fairtex bgv1 are very good. I’ve heard the new model (the ones you have) are synthetic leather.
I thought I was ripped off by an amazon seller. Guess that’s why my gloves don’t have that leather smell to them?
Yeah. They’re microfiber or something but I know a pro kickboxer who has them and they’ve held up really good. I don’t think you got ripped off. I hope you get lots of blood and memories out of them 😌
The synthetic leather in the BGV14 is supposed to hold up the same time if not, longer than traditional leather. It’s a high end glove.
@@tymotoboy53 How well do these hold up? I just started boxing and need a new pair of gloves to use for bag work. I reeeeally like the look of these and am very interested in getting them.
@@whixhd3010 solid gloves they don’t wear easily
I got the beauty are survial ones and there shit not worth the money
Where?
U think the newer jubilee gloves would last the same
First one been to hell and back
very helpful thanks
Great review! It’s good that you share the longevity review on your old pair of Fairtex and the amount of time you put into it on its wear condition. Curious to see how your new Syntex leather Fairtex compared to your old pair which is Genuine Leather. Do you prefer the older leather or it’s about the same?
May I ask what does it say when it’s stated BGL or BGLV in fight gloves?
BGL means "Boxing Glove Lace" and BGV means "Boxing Glove Velcro". The gloves are either velcro (V) gloves or lace-up (L) gloves. The number after the letters is the model of glove. (BGV1, BGV9, etc.) 🥊
The splatter pattern on the right glove looks so so good
BGV6 Will last you 3 years of hard work.
14 just can't compare.
We have to be a good idea for a while and it was the same as a game and a lot more to do it with a lot more fun than the one I have the most important things in the same thing as the other side and it was a bit more of an effort to get
Hey bro, try to oil them 👍👍
Can I use these for just boxing like not mua tai or kickboxing
u can but shouldnt. The wrist support is not there on muay thai gloves so u have flexibility to clinch. No clinching in boxing go for wrist support.
Sure. BGV14 is better for boxing.
Thank you
Mine only lasted 6 months
You should try a pair of Winning out
Thanks you for thid vidéo 👍 What the Price for this gloves fairtex in Thaïland ?
60-200bucks cheap
Great review. Thanks! 🥊
Hello I bought twins bgvl 3 gloves, 10 OZ. And I was surprised when it barely fit on my hand.. Is this for people with small hands? Or is it kids size? I can't box in this, it's like I'm punching with my fingers instead of my thumbs. Is it like this? I'm a normal sized person though..it is similar brand like a Fairtex. This fairtex is for small hand's people?
10 oz gloves are very small
I tried on the 14oz Fairtex the other day and they are extremely tight without wraps on. Feels like your hands would rip out of them. Great gloves but I think you may be better off with some Twins.
Buying those exact ones today, I was hoping to find a video to get a better idea of how they look and Im SOLD! 😍
How well do these hold up? I just started boxing and need a new pair of gloves to use for bag work. I reeeeally like the look of these and am very interested in getting them.
@@whixhd3010 amazing, I have 3 gloves from fairtex, great quality!
Does they looks bigger than other gloves ? I need to chose 16 or 14oz
Fairtex are compact gloves. If you want a bulky look, go for Twins.
Yes beautiful gelvse...
Wow nice
Thanks for watching:)
Is it true that fairtex bgv 14 boxing gloves will be tighter eventhough you use the same oz like the other fairtex gloves that you ever use (for example: 16oz) ?
Hello Chris
Hello Jeanetta:) Thank you for watching:) I hope you have an amazing day:)
@@TipsNNTricks she did have an amazing day
Erythromycin is a good idea and it was the same thing that you do and it was a bit of an effort than a few weeks before it started getting pregnant again but I think it's the right thing for me and the game was the first time that I was going through with the team will
I purchased the BGV14’s because they were vegan and looked awesome (I chose the paint splatters model).
I intend to use them for muay thai sparring more than traditional boxing. I chose 16 oz (I weight 160lbs).
I was wondering if they will be good enough for muay thai (clinching, catching kicks).
By the way I got a great deal buying them directly in Thailand at $62.
Thanks!
So the paint splatters version are the bgv14? Also is the Bgv14 better for boxing as I'm looking for a boxing glove.
@@anthonymcdonagh159
They are BGV14’s, yes
How are they hold up? As good as leather?
@@ngominh7598
Honestly, I haven’t used them all that much because I only use them for striking sparring. So far, they still look new.
@@EveOfSpring thanks for the fast reply haha
The are super jacked up my windys are about 10 years old & not one rip
Am new business start boxing 🥊 gelvse
Why do you only use 16 ounce? Do you only do bag work?
He may have another 10oz pair?
He still uses them😭
First one is leather, second one is microfiber.
