Hello HP! I am trying to remove the entire HD bracket to allow for a slightly larger GPU. With the HD bracket there is only room for a 280mm~ GPU, however I would like to remove this HD bracket to allow for a 300mm~ long GPU. Is this possible?
I got the I7 12700 model of this and I’m new at this and the motherboard’s specific model is not listed so I was wondering, would I be able to upgrade to an I9 if I ever wanted to or would the I9 simply not fit the prongs of this motherboard? Some people are acting like the I9 model of this has the same exact motherboard so that’s why I’m curious
I just purchased this HP Envy PC from HP and it had 1 x 8GB memory module. I now want to upgrade to 64GB. Someone said it had quad channel memory so which memory upgrade configuration do you recommend for the best performance: (4 x 16GB); (2 x 32GB) or (1 x 64GB). Thanks!
4 X 16GB of Corsair CAS 21 1.2 volts memory modules. Do not buy any memory that says XMP as those memory types have dumbed down boot SPD values which slow your memory controller from 1600mhz to 1033mhz. 4 slots allows the memory to make two sets of dual channel memory, in this machine. I have two of these machines and I've tweaked the best outta them even though they have few options.
@@glossygloss472 Absolutely can handle GTA5 at high fps, same with all other titles. Reviews are somewhere around RUclips too. Very happy I got this machine.
I'm interested in purchasing this PC and I have some questions about memory upgrades. Do all versions of this PC have 4 memory slots? What sizes of memory upgrades will this PC support? What is the maximum memory this PC will support?
Not all versions have 4 memory slots. The Te002-030 has 4 DDR4 slots. Total memory supported is 128GB for the above machine. I have the oem 2 X 8GB memory sticks and have added 2 X 16GB Corsair DDR4 PC4-25600 3200mt/s which totals 48GB. You must match the memory timings to get the full 3200, the timings are CAS 21 at 1.2 volts and NOT XMP memory. Get Corsair, made by Micron who makes the OEM memory. After you install the correct memory, use CPU-ID and you'll find ALL of your memory with the exact same timings and running at full speed. Again, do not install any XMP memory, that memory must be tweaked to get full speed and on this motherboard there is NO tweaking of anything.
@@stumpypeeks3214 The HP Envy Desktop TE-02/TE-03 models do not allow memory timing changes. There are model variations of the HP Envy desktop based on two different versions of their BlizzardU motherboard. To bypass all the confusion about your memory.... Here's what to do. 1. Remove all but the HP OEM memory 2. Download, install and run CPU-ID. 3. Using CPU-ID check the memory timings on the Memory tab. 4. Note the Mem Controller Freq. value 5. The correct memory bandwidth will be double of the Mem Controller Freq value (and the DRAM Frequency) and usually represented by the -Unicore Frequency value.- (Ignore the mispelled Uncore Frequency because it's value changes too much based on the CPU). 6. Since there are NO UEFI memory timing values you can change on this motherboard, you just need to MATCH the memory timings of the HP OEM memory with the new memory you are installing. In a different post under this video, I give the correct memory to buy if your motherboard supports the 3200 value. If your motherboard doesn't support 3200, then the memory I posted will still work for you as it is backwards compatible all the way back to DDR4 PC1600. My Mem Contrller Freq is 1596.1MHZ and my Unicore Frequency is 3591.2 MHZ, therefore my memory has approx. 3200MB/s or 3.2GB/s bandwidth. Again, don't install XMP memory and expect to get the 3200 value as the XMP SPD values boot less than 3200 bandwidth which HP accepts as normal and this is why you have to enter UEFI to change the memory value. Note that I have the HP Envy desktop with external USB ports on the top of the case, not the earlier HP Envy desktop with the USB ports on the front of the case.
@@SpaceCadet4Jesus if I buy a ram that is 3200 mhz but it also says 2133 mhz that is 1.2 volts will it read and go to 3200 mhz or would I have to overclock it but since u know I can’t overclock would I just be SOL
@@stumpypeeks3214 Let's clear up some confusion. Memory is not 3200MHZ. It is half that, in MHZ. CPU-ID reveals that. Since two transfers of data are simultaneously processed at the "half" speed, then you get a 3200MT/s value which is bandwidth. The real MHZ value of 3200 memory is 1600MHZ (approximately). So many manufacturers/people/websites are careless with accurate terminology, confusing everyone, even me. That's the nature of the computer industry, sorry to say. Now on to your issue, You are not SOL if you put 3200ish memory in a motherboard that says 2133 because the memory is backwards compatible to 2133. You get the full bandwidth that your motherboard controller can support which looks like 2133, which means you have the HP Envy destop with the USB ports on the front face (not top) of the case. Find the memory controller frequency in CPU-ID. You are not SOL because the new memory can go into your next computer or another computer. You are not SOL because you have more usable RAM which your computer likely needs. You are not SOL because DDR5 is barely faster than DDR4 that everyone and their brother is recommending staying with less expensive DDR4. At least for now. You are not SOL because the difference in 32GB kits (2133 vs. 3200) is only $6. Again, you cannot overclock 2133 memory to be 3200 memory under any clocking scenario, no matter the motherboard settings. To go from 2133 memory to 3200 memory takes a memory hardware change. I hope this has helped.
29mm and not a fraction of a millimeter more. That's the horizontal length from inside the case edge (where your video card ports will be) to the opposite side (where it hits any piece of metal). I measured it. This length does not include the top part of the video card bracket where it screws into the case (which is a millimeter or so?). The OEM installed GeForce RTX 3070 TI is a millimeter or so smaller (I didn't measure that).

There is NOTHING in the Warranty that excludes adding two more drives. The nonboot drive you should put under the video card. Nice try but the motherboard specs are wrong on the HP Envy Te002-0030. It states 2 UDIMM slots and in reality there are 4 UDIMM slots. Also people want to know about the memory because they are considering adding more and the specs are silent about the replacement specs. Come to find out (the hard way) this motherboard cannot use any memory labeled XMP. It will boot up and look okay until down the short road your OS begins to get corrupted as seen by running Sfc /scannow AND CPU-ID will show your memory controller running at 1033mhz, instead of 1600mhz, due to memory mismatches. To get full speed from your memory you need to buy Corsair memory with CAS 21 and 1.2 voltage. If ANY memory says it runs at 1.35 volts, do not put it in the computer as it is XMP memory with slow bootup SPD values.
Now on to your issue,
You are not SOL if you put 3200ish memory in a motherboard that says 2133 because the memory is backwards compatible to 2133.
What is the maximum length of the Graphics Card supported by this System?
29mm and not a fraction of a millimeter more. That's the horizontal length from inside the case edge (where your video card ports will be) to the opposite side (where it hits any piece of metal). I measured it.
This length does not include the top part of the video card bracket where it screws into the case (which is a millimeter or so?).
The OEM installed GeForce RTX 3070 TI is a millimeter or so smaller (I didn't measure that).
Is there an easy way to remove the SSD2 plastic cover besides removing the screw and prying on it with a plastic tool? The video does not show its presence, but on units that are delivered with a single SSD, the Plastic cover is front and center.

Primary storage is directly accessible by the CPU, is volatile, and has a smaller capacity. Secondary storage is not directly accessible by the CPU, is non-volatile, and has a larger capacity. In terms of speed, primary storage is faster than secondary storage.

This is a ridiculous answer. Honestly!
HP gives you both another M.2 slot and a slide out tray for a 2.5" internal drive so you can add drives. There is NOTHING in the Warranty that excludes adding two more drives. The nonboot drive you should put under the video card. You can add a slim M.2 metal heat sink to the drive if you wish, but not the taller heat sink that can be seen on the OEM stock drive (it prevents the video card from seating).
Enjoy your upgrades, it's your machine.

HP did good with the memory setup in this computer, but the user needs to match it.

There's plenty. I gave a run down on the internal cooling in another comment in this video. The short is; It has two 120mm fans and one 90mm fan and an open gridded top. You can add liquid cooling with a single 120mm radiator fan setup. The case is not full size but still holds a full size ATX power supply.

Are you blind? There's a rear exhaust vent as well as top and side vents.
@ Ulieq Are you blind and NUTS too? The front 120mm fan forces air inside, the 120mm cpu fan blows that air through a huge fin tower which conveniently exits both behind the fin tower at a outlet 90mm fan and also exits out the fully open gridded top.
