I agree! If there's going to be a reboot of Road Rovers someday, I personally want it to be on Netflix and have a more anime-influenced direction both in writing and character design. If Animaniacs can get a revival in 2020, then maybe Road Rovers should to.
I would love a Road Rovers revival! I have so ideas for one! I would want to last 7 seasons, add new rovers from Non-European countries, new villains, and I would like to see the Rovers have human allies and friends. I feel it could be nice since many other shows would have similar characters. (the Ninja turtles have April and Casey, the Gargoyles have Elisa, the Biker Mice have Charley, the Street Sharks have Lena and Bends, the Gummi Bears had Cavin and Princess Calla, etc)
Freakazoid sort of made a return in Teen Titans Go. It’s literally the only good episode outside of the BER episodes, and that’s because it isn’t an episode of Teen Titans Go starring Freakazoid. It’s an episode of Freakazoid starring the Teen Titans Go. Hugbees!
OMG, I loved Road Rovers! Kids WB shows weren't afraid of approaching tough subjects. Do you remember the Batman Beyond episode telling Ace's backstory? It's about dog fighting rings!
The show was hilarious. I thought the fact that it made no sense was what made it great. Think about it, if there's no real plot or serial order of the episodes, you don't have to be invested in it to enjoy it.
I remember this show as a kid I rewatched Every episode as an adult. I'm pretty sure everyone's a furry after seeing zootopia, Beastars, BNA, Aggrestko, and others.
You may have a point that the show was trying way too hard, but given what it aired next to and the reputation of its production forebears there was a lot to live up to. Nevertheless, I think this would be a great show to be picked up for a reboot. Animaniacs proved it was possible.
I'VE BEEN TRYING TO REMEMBER THE NAME OF THIS FOR YEARS! Thank you so much!! I've had memories of clips of this show in my head forever but I've never been able to figure out what it was called!
I can see why furry boys are into Colleen, given her long red hair and curvy, fit body, but the lady furries no doubt loved Hunter, Blitz and Exile; all of them strong, handsome boys.
I rewatched the show not to long ago. If anything I thought the jokes hit more now that I’m older. When I was 9 I didn’t get the political jokes or anything but liked the funny action. Now the whole thing makes me grin
I remember Road Rover Series by from the 90's because I used to watch that Series when I was very Young and now I got the complete Series on DVD at last so I can't enjoy watching again. I still wished more of my childhood cartoon favourites from the 90s like Biker Mice From Mars, Space Cats, Creepy Crawlers, Super Dave, Hammerman, The Adventure of Hyperman, Blazing Dragons, Cowboys of Moo Mesa, The Addams Family, Albert the Fifth Muskeeter, Santo Bugito, Iznogoud, Walter Melon, and captain simian and the space monkeys were finally released onto complete DVD at last just like Road Rovers
What are your ideas for new recruits for the Road Rovers? Here are mine: *Wes the Corgi, Oscar the Dachshund, Juilo (hoo-lee-o) the Chihuahua, and Chiffon the Pomeranian aka "The Shorties" - They are the youngest new recruits and are nicknamed "Shorties" because of their small statures & limbs. *R.J. the Jack Russell- A rival of Hunter due to his keen senses & being a champion show dog. *Scarlet, Yuki, and Azula the Heelers - Triplets made of three types of Australian Heelers (Red for Scarlet, White for Yuki, and Blue for Azula). They often talk in unison & are very acrobatic...even if Yuki is a bit ditzy & clumsy. And they are female Heelers (in case you didn't know).
There's Swat Kats and Cats Don't Dance from WB for the cat people. And regardless of how it was shown that uplifted general Parvo is an example of 'Cats are Megalomaniacs in the making', I still think that the first Cats and Dogs movie was worse as it took that trope to a completely new level considering they hinted the entire cat species was evil. To quote the Media Hunter reviewer 'I don't mind it if there was one bad cat (like here) or a group of Bad cats (American Tale etc) BUT if you make the entire species evil, you've crossed the line.
Okay, NerdWire. I know I kinda went too far enough because I was upset because you just tell other people not to watch this show because it’s just disrespectful to tell other people not to watch it. You should of tell people that you should check this show out if you feel interested. See? That’s what you should of said. Yeah. So, I know that’s your own opinion about road rovers but I just didn’t like it when you tell people not to check it out. I respect your opinion if you don’t like road rovers. But to me. in my honest opinion, I think road rovers is a perfect and amazing show. So, it’s been over a year since I became a road rovers fan. Btw if you didn’t saw the video that made on you, that’s good. So I took the video down for good. Just to do the right thing and I made an apology video about you. Oh and speaking of the characters. I know people were into Colleen. She’s my favorite character from this series and I know there’s fans and including me who obsessed with this character. Specially all the other road rovers. Like I know people who also like exile. Well I’m maybe wrong but I remember seeing somebody likes exile. I will always like the tv show myself. I do wanna Apologize for being mean and complaining. I really hope you forgive me. And I will promise this won’t happen again. So, I’m Sorry!
I remember this show around the time Space Jam was a thing. I found it later at 21 on RUclips for the first time. Wish they gave it much love. Furry fandom would follow later.
When I think of "road rovers" I think of the dead dog I saw on the highway and how little people just give a shit. I feel like WB in the 90s didn't give much of a shit, either, with its constant reliance on references to people who were probably dead before their target audience was even born.
Also about Parvo's backstory to make it even more confusing. When he was turned back or to a human man, he acted like he never met Groomer before. But the conversation between the Shepard and his boss did mentioned that it has been weeks since he had the cat, so either the original cat is dead and the professor got a new exact same cat, Parvo is immortal with memory loss, or the episode is not canon.
Omg this is my childhood 😂 that's the reason why I love antro film or animation 🙃 I maybe born in 2000 but my mom keeps buying me a cartoon from the 90s or the 80s I don't remember much of it but I know some like Road Rover, Swat Kats, Pocahontas, annnnnd a lot of disney movie, owh annnd the simpsons 😁 And yes the title is basically accurate
I have no problem comprehending the causality cycle that created Parvo. But I don't think it makes much sense. A causality cycle is more like a loop in a roller coaster, it goes around but participants must enter and leave. If Parvo really was stuck in a loop, how was he originally created? Cats don't just pop into existence. And if the last thing he does as parvo is accidentally undo himself and send himself back in time, how does he continue to be part of the show's events after that point?
I'll have you know I remember because I spent my early 20s watching 90s openings over and over and rewatching everything rather than a specific furrydom
I liked this show more than I did Animaniacs and Freakazoid honestly. Not that there's anything bad about those shows. I think it was cuz while kinda all over the place, I liked the characters in Roadrovers more and was willing to go along with the craziness they'd endured. Plus, I feel like Animaniacs and Freakazoid are a bit overrated. People practically worship those shows as comedic gold and I go "Eh...They're alright." at them. I know people are like "Did we see the same shows?" but sometimes there won't be anything really explainable wrong with a show or movie but something just keeps you from liking it or adoring it like everyone else and for me those two shows are that. Even growing up with it I just never could get into them as much as everyone else did. So that's just my two cents about it.
I just finished watching this show, which I friggin loved! Too bad it didn't get any toys to sell or more than one season. Please bring this awesome cartoon back from cancellation, Warner Bros, give it action figures, this time, too!
There were these "Show Champions" toys that were released at the same time. (The labador had a magnetic baseball that would attached to the muzzle. Close enough to Hunter and his tennis ball) XD Each pack had a big dog and a small dog, so I used to pretend it was the charaters of Road Rovers in OG dog form, saving the un related little dogs that came with. Pardon for the trip there, fun times. ^^;
I never saw it air naturally, as I grew up with UK TV like BBC 1 which only aired cartoons from 6AM till 9AM and then 3PM until 7PM so I had to buy it off Amazon. Money well spent.
I do remember enjoying this show and was sad when it was cancelled but I also did grow up to be a furry so that probably explains things. Although personally I liked Swat Kats a bit better.
I THOUGHT THIS SHOW WAS A FUCKING FEVER DREAM!!!! ANYTIME I MENTIONED IT MY FRIENDS WERE LIKE "?????NO?????" FOR THE LAST 10+ YEARS I THOUGHT THIS SHOW WAS JUST PART OF MY IMAGINATION
Honestly this show, with a complete overhaul in the writing department, would be good for a reboot.
I heard something about Exile having freeze vision that would Everest's charged up mighty power
I agree! If there's going to be a reboot of Road Rovers someday, I personally want it to be on Netflix and have a more anime-influenced direction both in writing and character design. If Animaniacs can get a revival in 2020, then maybe Road Rovers should to.

Hopefully this and Freakazoid will make a comeback like Animaniacs.
Freakazoid sort of made a return in Teen Titans Go. It’s literally the only good episode outside of the BER episodes, and that’s because it isn’t an episode of Teen Titans Go starring Freakazoid. It’s an episode of Freakazoid starring the Teen Titans Go. Hugbees!
They need to comeback
No, I remember them.
You used to be able to watch it on RUclips and some bootleg streaming sites.
This series was part of my childhood.
Ahha
Can still buy entire first season on youtube.
Kris. You had me at “only furies remember”
Same
ya..
🤣
Nope. Never remembered that but also not into the rule 34 stuff furries create while into other furry stuffs.
"furriest" has two R's
OMG, I loved Road Rovers! Kids WB shows weren't afraid of approaching tough subjects. Do you remember the Batman Beyond episode telling Ace's backstory? It's about dog fighting rings!
Yeah, I love Road Rovers too ^^ I never even got to watch it until I found this show back in 2019.
The show was hilarious. I thought the fact that it made no sense was what made it great. Think about it, if there's no real plot or serial order of the episodes, you don't have to be invested in it to enjoy it.
it was all excuses for goofy ahh fight scenes, explosion, failed humor and speedruns to break the biggest number of laws of physics at the same time
I've been trying to remember the name of this show for YEARS
"You bet your sweet bippy" is not used often enough
It truly is one of my favorite phrases
As a furry I am nostalgic for this show
Well that’s good to hear! I’m a furry too!
I'm neither a furry nor a millennial so I can't say the same
Next nostalgia trips should be ReBoot, Max Steel, Swamp Thing, Addams Family series, Mighty Ducks, Captain Planet, and Animorphs.
Does anyone remember Captain Planet,Freakazoid,BuckyOHare And Battle toad!
We need a Road Rovers and Swat Kats crossover.
I remember this show as a kid I rewatched Every episode as an adult. I'm pretty sure everyone's a furry after seeing zootopia, Beastars, BNA, Aggrestko, and others.
Road Rovers could seriously use a revival or continuation!
You may have a point that the show was trying way too hard, but given what it aired next to and the reputation of its production forebears there was a lot to live up to. Nevertheless, I think this would be a great show to be picked up for a reboot. Animaniacs proved it was possible.
Omg this needs a comeback, it was kind of a TMNT clone but so was street sharks and it was awesome.
Hopefully it gets the remake treatment.
Much like Dino Riders, this show needs a reboot! It’s horrendously underrated!
O this looks interesting!!! I never saw this show before but it looks really cool!!!
Then you'll enjoy the slip in accents in the early episodes.
I don't think the thumbnail is very accurate, as I'm not a furry, and yet, I remember this show.
It's a joke but ok.
@@stopannoyingme601 well, he is autistic
@@Blue-jn1ph and I was just telling him it was a joke? Not trying to come off as rude or anything

Pretty sure there's a lot of furry boys into Hunter, Blitz and Exile :3
@@silveryote1 Yeah, if they were human characters it would be mums and aunties who swooned as well.
I rewatched the show not to long ago. If anything I thought the jokes hit more now that I’m older. When I was 9 I didn’t get the political jokes or anything but liked the funny action. Now the whole thing makes me grin
ROAD ROVERS is the greatest show.
I was watching at 30 with my kids.
I love ya Kris! I would like to thank you for your sacrifice of delving into the dark parts of the internet to bring us this great video!
I love your nostalgia trip videos
Thank you so much!!!
I got into this show because I'm somewhat of a furry. No regrets. Do Mighty Ducks and Biker Mice next!
We need this show to have a reboot
I like road rovers and colleen the collie is my favorite character and she is very attractive. 😀👍🐶
Same ^^
Can you please do a nostalgia trip on krypto the superdog

This unlocked twenty-four-year-old memories I didn't know I had locked in my brain stem.
Thanks!
isn't it crazy when that kind of thing happens
I learn that there’s is a Wikipedia about fury’s, a really bizarre tv show with dogs and weird reference.
I might not watch it, I’m a cat person.
Warner Bros has two cartoon options for a cat person, if interested search for Thundercats and/or Swat Cats
Non-Furries too. It was a good show that still holds up. Theme song kicked ass!
The College Humor cartoon "Furry Force" was totally inspired by this lol
So, the first version of Paw Patrol? Lol
