My parents story is literally the American dream defined. My mom escaped from her country alone at 11 with no family, grew up here and worked hard and married a boy that could only afford to go to public school with divorced parents. They worked hard and now are have a wonderful life. That’s the American dream, that despite your past and the odds stacked against you there’s still a chance to become something great.
