I've only been iRacing about 1 month and I have never raced in the rain before on iRacing and I had only just learned the track the day before.
The rain is so tough, I don't think I have ever concentrated so hard in my life haha, got through it though with 0 damage.
Managed p8 which I was over the moon with.

Those opening laps are some of the most impressive I’ve ever seen. Fair play to you all! 😮😮
I also started for my team. There were no GTPs in our split, but the start was just as hectic and I could see just as little. In hindsight it was a lot of fun, but at the time I was scared shitless. 10/10 simracing experience.

I didn't recall that a bunch of cars Dropped at the beginning of that race due to packet loss!!! Holy crap that was just as intense watching it back!!!!
Guessing most of those were the T1 pixel of death? How Ollie and Josh went out later. They seem to be around that part when it happens (from watching on the map).
Absolutely wild stuff there at the start...I suppose as crazy as the conditions were at least you had daylight. Can't imagine what running like that after sundown must be like.
Pit a lap early to get some clean air....also to decrease the heart rate and have a swig of pop.

We had a car just MATERIALIZE out of the rain, pretty much stopped on the racing line, slowly drifting off the track, as I came into T14 at full speed just barely hanging on. Life flashed before my eyes. :)

That was mad, I don't know how you kept it on the track,
We did the 7am slot in the GT3, got killed 2 times by peeps not holding the brakes with in the first 3 hours (We quit after the 2nd) turns out the lead GTP finished in P8 overall 5 laps down on the lead LMP2 🤣

Mate that 1st lap proves you can't drive in rain without putting in the hours your viewers moaned about, I can't bare another Sebring. Look at the result, you blindly drove round corners and knew to brake without ever having the front cars hazards visible and still broke short of the apex enough to not ram the car in front.

@@dannygaron maybe but idk my guys just warn me about crashes upfront but not to that degree. All fun and games at the end of the day!
