Brian, after the windows installation is done, and you corrupt the install with malware or virus or whatever, do you have to reinstall or use windows repair to return it back to clean? or can you just shut the VMware down and boot it back up and windows is ready to go again like sandbox? sorry the Q as I haven't played around with VMware and windows installs. Thanks for the videos, keep em coming bro. Oh and we're gonna Keep the ashes :) hehehehehe
Wait: I installed Windows 11 weeks ago on VMware weeks ago, and it is still running. Without any special settings. And to be very honest: it runs perfect! No problems on specific apps and programs. To me: Windows 11 is a GO.
Unfortunately it doesn’t work on the VMWare Player, however there are ways of getting it on there, if you don’t mind the risk of no future upgrades. Maybe it would be more useful having a video of that, as probably the majority of your viewers would be likely to use the Player, rather than the paid version?
Download and install a trial version of VMWare Workstation, create the VM using VMWare Workstation and complete the Windows install. Shut down and exit VMWare Workstion and then use the VMWare Player going forward.
Hey Brian, few weeks I built my first PC using your videos and finally my sister is happy. I built with a Ryzen 3 3200G coz she's tight in budget. But now my cousin asked me to build a PC for him, he told me he need a Ryzen APU build. I'm too late, do you have any analysis on " when will Ryzen APU'S come in stock" Thanks... Waiting for your reply :)
Brian, regards from Bulgaria, i was just wonderig how i can install Windows 11 on virtual machine, since i don't have TPM enabled on my new PC. Thanks a lot.
Hi and thanks for all your videos. The Windows 11 installed in the VM will be as if it was installed to a compatible PC, right? So it will not have the Windows Update Security download restrictions? And again, I know that is possible to transfom a VM disk and install it in a PC as it was not a VM (I hope I was clear). If I do that in a non-compatible PC (Legacy BIOS, not UEFi, no TPM and an MBR disk) it will work as the one in the VM (no issues in receiving updates)? Thanks so much
Have added a like thx. I have followed the instructions as far as "options" but have no "access control tab" any help appreciated. Have TPM 1.2 & Secure boot enabled in Bios. Using windows 10 Pro x64 as host. VMware workstation player latest version. Probably just being stupid or dense but cannot figure why that should be. Many thanks & regards
OK. UPdate Have installed VMware pro trial and have managed to setup Win 11 ok. Just one thing. What happens if I sign in to microsoft using my MS account for Win 10. Will it activate the 11 Version & deactivate my Win 10 ??? thanks
So does it work on free vmware iv been playing with vm's for a week now would like to learn a lot more but well I only read the instructions after iv stuffed it up too many times Thank you
Do you need a login password to enable tpm on a normal pc? I'm still trying to figure out why mine says it isn't enabled when it is and everything is compatible 🤔
Once I had installed a TPM module on my ASUS M/B I had to go into the BIOS and check it was enabled under advanced/cpu. Once enabled and the BIOS settings were saved it showed up ok. I did not need a p/w. regards
Hope this video helps you out. Drop us a LIKE 👍

Hi Britec, make a video about winget. It's amazing.
Thanks, followed your instructions but still wouldn't install until I changed CPU, RAM and disk size settings and it now works :¬).
Good video, got to love jumping through hoops to do a basic thing :(
Tell me about it

That was preview version
Interesting. Would that be a way to run Windows 11 on non supported but otherwise powerful enough hardware?
Yes
Thanks, Britec. Good stuff.
My pleasure!

I agree! I use Player myself to test my ISO's - including unattended Windows 11 Pro. Thanks!

See what I can do
Great Video: I wondered how to install Windows-11 on my VMware running on Linux Mint I will give it a go Thanks :-)
Glad it helped
Hi Brian, can we use a usb tpm module? For windows 11?
Hi, what is this tpm

Tim's Computer Repair just released a new video and it's real "screwy " ! Bloody hell !
not watched it yet
Great bro👍🤗!!!
Thanks much appreciated
the option to select "UEFI" below BIOS in the firmware type is greyed out for me. Is there any way to fix this?

Hey, can you run W11 without a product key. Cheers
Yes

I tried to do this for my WIndows 11 lite iso and it doesn't work no matter if I try to bypass the requirements or enable them. Any help please??
Yes Sir. thank you.
You are welcome

Still getting the same error..?
Anyone that can solve it ....?
Followed all the instructions, but don't get windows install screen.
Thankfully, we have until 2025 to decide if Win11 is worth the upgrade.
Can that work on workstation player?
what about vutual box?

How to install in core i5-6200u bcz it says not supported?
Can you confirm that this is recommended by VMware ?
Good video but don't understand why Microsoft just exclude virtual appliances, just a lot of hassle.
Agreed!
I have used both VMware and virtualbox
How did you add a TPM to Virtual Box?
because Oracle say VB can't run Win11 due to the TPM requirement
@@An.Individual I did nothing and it ran. Had it on my win 10 pc
VMware WS 15.5 is ancient edition
It works just as well on the latest version, mind you, so that shouldn't be an issue.
Why bother? its only a tarted uo ver of win 10 anyway?
You still have to support it
Please give me the ISO File for Windows 11!
Free from Microsoft.
@@garyc5483 I know, Thanks for the Information though...
