After bifurcation how time has gone into identification, resource pooling, town planning convincing people etc. how much time you would need to locate, resource, plan and construct a house for you? People have not voted for Amaravati. YCP was defeated for other reasons. The capital city of AP should be decided by 100% people of AP, not with an absolute majority of TDP or YCP. Amaravati with nine cities can not be built even with an American budget for 70 years. Amaravati, a fertile area, is not suitable for strong concrete constructions and moreover cost-consuming

congress wiped out from state. BJP is against special status to any state in India. They were arrogant since they got more than 272 MPs previously. The govts of TN, Karnataka will oppose since it effects their investments. But now with 240 MPs this will be possible.
The State of Andhra Pradesh may not qualify as one deserving special status but within the limitations of law, the Centre can extend a lot of help financially, if there is a will to do it.
It absolutely qualifies due to the manner in which it was bifurcated and it was also promised in parliament floor during passing of the bifurcation act.

Kohli idea of trifurcating for balanced development would have been a big flop as what would be the value of single large diamond compared to small pieces. If development is to be distributed you plan for business, education planned as per regions' assets and putting a judiciary in kurnool will get them some hotels and Xerox shops. The new plan should be a city with financial center in the capital and all industries businesses distributed with main emphasis on top class infra for business and residential use and limit capital to max 50lakh population no flooding with all development there that would save the mess in Bangalore and Mumbai. When will town planners wake up. Even with 300' roads Naidu planned in hyd 30 years back are not sufficient now. How can you allow capital to have one third population of a state.
