I've got the new 2023 and it's new lights are way way better than the years before it !!!! They are actually bright and put off a much wider band of light and farther out than previous year models !!!! I was pleasantly surprised because what I'm hearing of the previous years were said to be horrible !!!! I'm happy as can be with the lighting !!!!

@Superandrew932, that is good question since most manufacturers do not mention the top speed. On RUclips are a few owners of XMAX 300 testing the top speed and measured 152 km/h but this was not a 2023 model.
Is yamaha making a low budget version for the states? I am asking because the only xmax scooters that I have seen for sale use Dunlop tires rather than michelins. The seat is different, of a cheaper design, it doesn't have that extra back stop . The paint jobs are all a flat white color and the rims of the wheels are all just black. Are these all small cost cutting techniques that yamaha is using? If so, this makes me think of being a bait and switch. Advertise one thing, but only sell something of less value. Not good, pisses me off!
@paul5683, it seems that you are right that Yamaha chooses to distribute certain models and colors of their products to specific countries. I have checked their website when selecting the USA and then only the grey color with black rims seems to be available. When selecting an European country the XMAX 300 is available in blue with blue rims (Icon blue) and dark grey with black rims (Sonic grey). Besides the standard XMAX 300 also the XMAX 300 Tech Max is available in dark green with golden rims (Dark petrol) and all black (Tech black) in Europe.

Always the struggle. New model has tft display that looks nice. But will be outdated in a few years while analog instruments are timeless

How does the high beam work? No useless third bulb in the middle like the 2022 model. I own one and it really works terrible.

New xmax head light not look great or nice but i prefer the old head light more aggressive looks.
I totally agree. The previous edition is much better.

I have 2023 and I've had mine up to 87mph and I didn't have it wide open ......I believe comfortable 90mph all day long !!!! It's so smooth

I bought the base model because it was the only one left.
The basic screen is very poor and very small, otherwise it is a great choice.

If you want your motor look good you better design a mono shock, and a smaller muffer not that too much big. The seats must be flat
