- Irma's hurricane-force winds punished downtown Miami. Up to 5 feet of storm surged into Miami's downtown business district. High winds snapped two construction cranes on buildings 2 miles apart. By late morning, first responders had to stop answering 911 calls. People who defied Miami-Dade's evacuation order were on their own. Mark Strassman reports.

4 years later, I'm here and alive, Irma wasn't that bad for where I was and whoever was affected those years ago, I hope your doing okay now
ps: Ocala Florida was where I was and it only knocked out our power and some leaves into the house
Evacuated from Cutler Bay......to Naples.
Only to race back across Alligator Alley as the outer bands were hitting to get back to Cutler Bay.
Good times.
🙄🙄😬
How many 911s have there been? I lost track
0:55 A TORNADO!?!
Worse. A water tornado
Yet people still move there wow
Yet, people are moving in droves to Florida. And they ignore evacuation orders. 🤷🏿🤦🏿
Why are folks migrating from CA to Miami ?
@World Traveler @fault line
Cuz it’s to blue and left wing in southern Cali. says a lot when people would rather deal with massive hurricanes than Democrats. Can’t say that I blame them.
@@RWRogers Hurricanes > socialism and poop in the streets.
@@RWRogers exactly. I feel this way I moved from CA to FL this year
Another one of these will really cool down the "hot" housing market down there.
Haha it's 2 hours from Miami to Orlando dude.. you sound LAZY AF
It's 3 and a half hours to Orlando from Miami and just about everyone else was driving out. All the highways were packed
You have no idea, man. It's normally a 10 hr drive to Atlanta, and it took me 23 hours with all of the traffic, and only 5 of those hours were stopping to sleep/rest. Gas stations were running out of fuel. Gas lines were insane. I was terrified of getting stuck on the road without gas. Evacuating was a nightmare. The 3-4 hr drive to Orlando was probably at least 6-8 hours.

Damn, I knew Florida was crazy... but even the news peeps are edgy 'bout this. Talking 'bout decapitated heads and how it's on you, if you do you lol.
???
Escape the worth of my life start laughing but I can't cause what I saw is the humidity of the humongous cloud of the ocean under swerving around Miami well if you didn't see that you really didn't set it and and the nuts coming are above nare above line they're gonna go up to 200 knots a win they're not a win so if you stand outside you might fly somewhere else
