Thank you for your videos. I am new to inlay work and have started getting the supplies. I have found flat wire, powder etc. But, I'm not sure what to buy size wise. Just wanting to start with small quantity because of just starting out. Like one for detail and one for larger lines. Also, I absolutely love the bowling ball vice set up. Do you set it on sand bags when you work. I couldn't tell from the videos I have watched so far. I appreciate the information you have shown so far . Thanks again Kay☺
Beautiful. I love silver wire inlays. It looks so simple. I've tried three times, though, and never can get it to look good. The problem is that my scrolls never turn out smoothly. There's always flat spots or unevenness.
My hobby , muzzle loading rifle building. I would like to place some wire inlets in my stocks to give it a fancier look. However making the tools and using them takes practice , which I am more than willing to do. However I am finding it very difficult wheen it come to the wire. I know it's out there but where ? Do you begin from round wire by rolling it flat yourself ? Love you presentations ; you explain in such a way that is easy to understand.
Great job on inlay Chad.
thanks Don
beautiful work
thank you
a thing of beauty!
Thank you. I was real happy with it too
I like that your tools are custom. A video on how you made one of the chisels maybe would be interesting.
ill have to get a video up on that. Long story short is its and exacto knife in and engraving handle with the blade ground however you like it.
@@chadkennedyknives Thank you for the replies. I really appreciate it.
@@williamtpenningtonart you bet. Thanks for letting me know what you think

Thank you. I use .008 x .055 wire. My bowling ball sits on a lawn mower tire with a piece of leather in between. Hope that helps
Great job
Thanks
Inginous solutions, thank you so much!

It’s tough man. But stick with it and those ugly spots will start to disappear. It took me a lot of mess-ups before I felt like I had the hang of it.
Beautiful!
Thank you

Thanks Howard. I use flat wire from Tb hagstoz and son. I use .008x .055 sterling silver. That would look great on a muzzleloader!
I looked on the website for these dimensions and can’t seem to find them! Any other suggestions to where to find the wire?
Hello, how many mm is the wire you use in this knife? And... What do you do to soften the wood? Thank You.
I use .055 x .008 inch wire and the wood is already soft
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
