I didn’t like any of the factory carts, so I built one for my new Lincoln Squarewave 200. Let me know if you have any questions.

Просмотров 3,9 тыс.2 года назад
When I am finishing a wire inlayed handle, I use TruOil to seal it. In this video I show the process I go through to get a slick, clean finish, using a method called rubbing out. Thanks for the likes and for subscribing.
Raising and sanding wood grain

I go through this process when I use unstablized woods such as this curly maple. It helps me get a better finish on my knife handles.

Well done sir
are you using a specific kind of solder? seems like a great joint!
Don’t take the cat like this
Beautiful work but not a very informative vid for newbies. E.g. I would have liked to see closeup views of what you're doing with the chisels.
Splitting of bellet and forge welding it makes that center pathern? Grate video BTW
You should do a 1-2 minute video of chalk drawing of whole process and include the cross section in the lineup as a visual. That is worth a video of its own.
What finish do you use over your wire inlays that does not yellow? I have so much trouble with polyurethane and stuff like that yellowing.
What I've done for spoons that I picked up from watching canoe paddles made is to use a grit, then run a damp cloth going downhill with the grain to take dust out of the pores and raise the fibers, then use a finer grit, repeat till you're happy or tired.
Too beautiful. Belongs in a museum at minimum
Your sketching style is so similar to mine I had to check my drawings to see if there was a match. Damned fine video
well done! What would you do to create a metal pommel without melting the metal?
I would love to have a feather damascus knife. But with my income, it would be a difficult task. Great job by the way. You make some beautiful knives.
Hello sir, I am interested in purchasing a knife like the one I made in this video, and I want to buy one. How much does it cost? Greetings.
That kerosene does what it needs to in a minute.
beautiful work
Beautiful!
Beautiful.
Thank you for the detailed instructions. I'll be trying some wire inlays soon...holdings thumbs it works out. Beautiful job on the sword!
Great idea Chad I'm going to adapt it to my new $100 grinder build. Thanks mate.
Beautiful work! I plan to emulate your process with inlays on the stock of a flintlock Fowler I'm building. Never tried this before but love the look of your work and think it would be a wonderful option for my build. Thanks for the insight!
Excellent video.
Beautiful wire inlay!! Thanks for the helpful video. Where do you get those inlays from?
Nice !❤
I'm from Cleburne TX, I'm a knife person since I was young I've always wanted my own hand made knife and from what I see I would love to have one made by you !
Love it ! Spent my whole Sunday morning watching! That being said ,how do I get a custom knife made for me ?
I'm looking for a good demascis fixed blade every day Cary with a horizontal carry sheath
Also i read your page, I'm also a welder ,
I hope I have the right person ,but I was wanting to get with you about making me a custom knife ! I've recently purchased some bnb knives thinking they were hand made here in America but come to find out they come from Pakistan so I was extremely disappointed! So I searched up Texas blade smith's cause I'm from Cleburne TX. And I want a tx hand made knife and was hoping you could help me out?
Very nice
Very good videos. I especially like the explanations of, not only what you are doing but why and how you are doing it. Well done.
Great stuff brother. I've subscribed to your channel.👍👍
You bet. Thank you
Great craftsmanship sir, keep up the good work
Thank you
Awesome work my friend 👍 I just finished my first Bowie a few days ago. It was supposed to be my first thru tang but it didn't go well so it's a hidden tang now lol
Wow❤
When I first started and had thinner outer layers, if it buckled I could rarely get it to weld cleanly after.
Похоже что проволоку не отожгли перед всечкой. Пружинит она.
Great video. Thanks for sharing I need to make one more
Thanks
You add flux when it is red hot, before scale forms but hot enough to melt the flux. If you add it when it is to temp there is no way your flux is faster than oxygen so scale will form and you will have failures. Also, you only need a small amount to coat the steel. Forge On!!!
I really enjoyed this video it's one of the most informative videos I've seen on feather Damascus
Thank you
Why have I not found your channel sooner? I watch forging all day long (retired 😂)… this is the first I’ve seen you! Subbed
Thanks for watching and for reaching out!
way to abuse your animal
Do you follow a general rule of thumb when determining the minimum radius for each size of wire?
Where do you buy your wire?
great info, thanks!
You bet
What's the little weird part 4 on the blade? Can opener?
No it is just for looks. I thought it looked cool
wow
Thanks
Great video. Also, you are one of the only if not the only person i've noticed that waits till after they show an awesome video to ask you to subscribe and I admire that.
Hey thanks for watching. That’s probably why I’m not a successful RUclipsr!
That's a good looking Bowie.
Thank you
Great work🙌🙌🙌, how much gas do you use for this work?
Super cool man!
Thanks!
