Just looking to confirm methods for my own workings, does creating small pockets in the inlay channel provide a easy way of getting 24k to hold to .999 silver rings
Jan Hendrik Viljoen thanks Jan. One more question, what is the best to use for wider surfaces like watch bezel for example or center links of the watch bracelet?
I would love to learn how to engrave with gold inlay on guns. I'm looking into the process now. Love the short intro!
This looks like a tedious process. You must have such patience. Beautiful results 😃
I'm looking to start doing this. I live in canada. Do you have any ideas where I can get supplies?
Okay... so how do I pre cut the metal and do the teeth?
Hello Jan .
Can you inlay gold wire into hardwood ?
How do you finish it to make it look good?
Groves and then an undercut ,I'm going to attempt the engraving with a fiber laser and inlay with sterling silver wire. Whats your opinion?

What to did you use for the engraving??
22 gauge 24k gold wire looks good, the standard
It is called bidri art in India .This art is thousand years old
What is the other metal you using its silver or steel
Is this an expensive thing to learn?
How to make that undercut? Is that called “dovetail”? Thanks
The undercut is done with gravers. It is just like a dovetail.

Leo nu I have already checked but there is no any video which is about inlaying or i could not find it. Do you know which one is that?
Is it stable
Hi where did you buy the gold wire?
I make my own gold wire
How to make the part before the easy tap in please, oh please. Is it a different video? Undercuts? Teeth? Wha wha wha...?
This technique is good but it need more gold since its hammered and half of gold is inside.
In India we use thin wire without hammering
That’s Indian art bidri work..
This is koftagiri. Not bidri
Pointless video since you don't show the most important part on how you cut the channel and the teeth to hold the wire ....
